I come to this location with my boyfriend all of the time. The food is always amazing! Usually the wait is not long unless it’s Valentine’s Day or something. highly recommend

Five stars for one of the only two«International» House of Pancakes(IHOP) in Manhattan.(The other’s in the East Village.) Yes, five stars. What?! Five stars for IHOP? That’s impossible. OK. Ever wonder if the problem is more YOUR snobbery than anything wrong with IHOP? Let’s be honest. Despite what any of the overpriced brunch places would have you believe, there isn’t much upside to a pancake or an omelette. It’s not basketball. It’s eggs and starch. IHOP does it well and provides an atmosphere conducive to conversation. I wrote a good chunk of my dissertation at the Philadelphia IHOP. Staff is always super friendly. I’d avoid going on Friday/Saturday nights: lots of awkward high school«dates» or drunken revelry. In addition to pancakes, omelets, and waffles, I also highly recommend the chocolate milkshakes. Personally, I use IHOP as a litmus test. If I see your face flinch when I suggest or say we’re going to IHOP, guess what? Not my kind of person. Go to Per Se and good luck in the next recession while we eat the food of the people.

Ugghhh now if i wasn’t saved n it wasn’t Sunday we could have dined and dashed we waited at least 25 min for the waiter to even give us the bill then to pay was another 15to 20 min the cashier was so busy & then walks away from the register to do who knows what. meanwhile pple are just flocking in like this is the greatest place on earth. dirty. tape on all the chairs near where I sat. dirty utensils i went to another table to find«clean» ones(my waiter was m.i.a) Measly strips of bacon. pancakes as u can see in the photo just literally fall apart when trying to take a piece. Ugghhhh

Who doesn’t love IHOP? We all do, but that doesn’t mean the franchise should start slackin’. My friends and I came to this location last night around 2am and I was highly disappointed. Our waitress had no real interest in taking our orders nor making sure our food looked good. My coffee was spilled all over the saucer and my French Toast was drenched in butter. The pics are more helpful. Obviously I wasn’t here for a healthy meal but that’s no way to present food in an establishment. Also our waiter fell asleep in the corner and had to be woken up by her fellow coworker. I understand it’s the graveyard shift but please be more professional at your job. The 2 stars rating is because at the end of the day, I still love breakfast food.

I love some Ihop pancakes. Let’s get that out the way! So when my friend and I were super hungry I was happy to see bam right there in front of us an Ihop. Entering the place it just had a weird vibe going on. We were seated and ordered. Food was fine. Waitress was fine. The negatives were the lack of cleanliness surrounding us. The booth across from us was not cleared away from the previous guests the whole time we were there. Also the other party that had just left a few minutes after we arrived, same situation. Table and floor was full of plates and garbage on the floor the entire time we were there. No bueno. How hard is it to clear the tables/area after a guest leaves. We were also served our food with no utensils to eat it with. Ummm Yeah. As much as I like Ihop I don’t see myself going to this location again.

This review is not even for their food because we walked out just based on their customer service. Went in for a nice New Year’s Eve brunch, was greeted by a very nice cashier who directed us to the hostess. There was no one else in the waiting area and the hostess said, «we’re not crowded, you’ll be next.’ Four groups of customers came in after us(three groups of 2& one group of 3)…all were seated before us… some immediately. I complained to the female manager & we left. Terrible service, first time there & will NOT be back. I wish there was a caption for ZERO stars!

I ordered the crêpe and it looks a little sad. Will try some thing else next time. I expected to taste the crime cheese taste on the filling but it wasn’t very prominent. In fact once I ate it with the whip crème it was overwhelmed. By the time I was half way through the crêpe was soggy. I wouldn’t recommend it. Also I went to the restroom and it wasn’t pleasant. It stinks before you even enter the bathroom. Not only that, the door to the bathroom is right next to the kitchen! EW! It smelled like somebody farted outside, then inside it smelled like they«cleaned«it with a really dirty mop. Like they haven’t actually disinfected the mop in ages.

I read many of the reviews, and didn’t know what to expect coming here. Mostly, I thought the the service might be a bad/slow. However, we had a good experience. Came here very early on a Saturday(around 8:30/8:45am) with my dad. We are big IHOP fans — usually in the burbs. There were only a few other people there at that time. The place is huge. Definitely surprising, considering that the space is in Manhattan. It looks new and very clean. We were seated right away. Our waitress was super nice and the service was fast. The menu had so many options. Only thing was that I wanted the Pumpkin pancakes, which was on the menu, but she said it’s not available until October! Boo IHOP! Our food came out pretty quickly. I was surprised because Harlem service, generally, tends to be veeerrry slow(read my other Harlem food reviews). But not here. The food was good and the service friendly and quick. The price was nearly double what I would pay in any suburban IHOP. I know because we regularly eat at IHOP and get the same types of items. If you don’t come often, it won’t break your bank.

After reading so many negative reviews, my expectations were not very high but I was pleasantly surprised! We went in at around 11:30 on a Sunday morning, were immediately seated and received our food quickly. We ordered the ‘Best Pancake Combo’, the ‘Best French Toast Combo’ and the Blueberry lemonade. The pancakes and french toast were served hot and were DELICIOUS. The sides of eggs, hashbrowns and bacon were also hot and fresh. Blueberry lemonade is refreshing and sweet. The only reason I’ve given 4 stars instead of 5 is because our waitress seemed to be MIA a couple of times despite it not being too crowded. We had to flag her down for refills and the check. Overall it was a great experience.

Like everyone else’s reviews, we were a party of 2 seated immediately; but waited 20 – 30 minutes for our food. After our food came, the waitress forgot my toast and said she was gonna get it. By the time she remembered to bring my toast, I already finished my food. We asked for a to go box and the check. She only brought a to go box and gave us attitude. We were kept here forever and couldn’t leave. I ended up being late to volunteer. –DONOTGOHEREUNLESSYOUAREFINEWITHKILLINGTIME because the service will take a long time. Slowest IHOP in the world. This is 10am on a Saturday.

We received attentive and friendly service from Maiba this morning and will definitely be back for another delicious meal soon! The specialty French toast options on their current menu are to die for. Coffee was pretty bad last time I was here, but I’ve found that as long as you order around breakfast time, the pot is strong, hot and fresh.

We dropped in just because we wanted to attend the Gospel Mass in Harlem on a Sunday morning, at the Abyssinian Baptist church, which is aroud the corner. The staff was very friendly even though I asked for some specific modifications to the pancakes due to some allergy. Loved the atmosphere of old times, with families from the Harlem community all dressed up for the Mass… all of a suddent it seemed to be back in the 50’s.

I guess I don’t have to repeat what everyone else has already said but in true NY fashion I will. This has got to be the slowest ihop I have ever been to. I can’t even post on how the food is because after 32 minutes we are still waiting for it. It’s Thursday I would hate to be here on a Sunday after church lets out.

I went here for breakfast a party of one. They say me in the back no one approached me for 20 minutes and the restaurant was not packed. One waiter kept looking over at me but since I was not in his section did not offer to help. After my 20 minutes of waiting a waiter approached me and apologized. My order came within 12 minutes but I did not have enough time to eat it. I figured since it was not packed I could order and eat my food in 40 minutes. Apparently, I had unrealistic expectations. The food came and it was not as the menu picture, but was still edible. I was trying to pack my food to go but my waiter was talking to some other customers for over 5 minutes. I didn’t mind if I could just pay my bill and get a box. At the end of the day it was $ 5 what can you expect.

Being that this establishment is in walking distance of my house I used to love the convenience. However, every time I come here the service diminishes. My mother and I sat at a table with no napkins or utensils. We went on and ordered two cobb webb salads with minor alterations and 2 orders of strawberry stuffed french toasts. Sounds simple, right? It took almost an hour to receive our order due to the fact that the chef ignored the alterations made to our salad and continued making our salad according to the menu. Our server failed to inform of us of the changes and attempted to make excuses as to why nothing was his fault even though he never came back to our table after he took our order. When our food, had finally arrived we noticed the extra cheddar cheese was not in the salad and the stuffed french toast was missing in action. Another server was nice enough to put in our order for the french toast and refill our cups as we waited. When we requested containers I thought he would have gotten the hint that we were ready to leave. Not only did he give us containers and no bags but he didn’t even give us our bill. By the time he got back to us the other server had already helped us and served several other tables. In the end, the other waiter received his tip. Please stop hiring new servers and allowing them to work without being properly trained!

Service here has really gone down. Gratuity forced on parties of five or more, but no option to retract out if service us not up to par. Not eating here again.

The only reason I’m giving this place 2 stars is because the actual food was good. But the service here is HORRIBLE. I never understand why people work somewhere that they hate and then treat people like crap like they’re not paying to eat there. Then i didn’t get what i wanted for my entrée. If im paying for something, i expect there should be no problem getting it. 2 thumbs down!

Went to this restaurant to dine. I was seated immediately. No server came by to take my meal or drink order. I waited at least 5 – 10 minutes. The gentlemen who seated walked my past my table and I told him no one stopped by table. He apologized and someone will be over soon. I continue to wait ANDNOONECAME. What made it worst was they were slow and 3 tables around me were being assisted. I decided to get up and leave. Hopeful if I visit again I can change the star from a 1 to something better.

For it to be a busy holiday the wait time was reasonable. Our waitress was very helpful and friendly. I love the Splashberry drink, my bacon was cooked to a crisp perfection and my pancakes were fluffy just as I like them. It was a great outing choice with my mommy and brother as we ate and relived traveling stories.
