Had the tuna salad on a croissant with a side of green salad. The croissant was not fresh… tasted about a day or two old. Their sweet potato fries were pretty good, crunchy on the outside and mash potato consistency on the inside. Service was on the slower side… friends who have been here before said the service is not great so we expected it.

I have eaten here many times. The food is good, just know that there maybe one server so it requires a lot of patience.

This is the most awful restaurant in Harlem. Not because of the staff or cooks, but the owner is so disrespectful and doesn’t give a d*** how she represents herself in this community. My most recent experience was awful, among three, she should not be allowed to own a business in Harlem. The Story: On my most recent visit, a chilly evening, I inquired about their soups of the day. A polite gentlemen advises me of the soups & as I inquire about the soup specials, the owner comes over. The Asian lady with dreadlocks, who happens to be the owner, decides to «help» by advising me that it’s «summer» and soups are limited. Well, ok, that’s fine… cause it’s just becoming spring. I ask, can I taste the cream of portobello mushroom soup? Just to ensure I like it — response — «No we’re closed». Meanwhile, there are 8 ppl sitting at tables and the door open. Ok, I get it. You don’t need my local business, understood. It’s an awful atmosphere & if tourists think that we, as a community are so desperate, that we would put up with this silliness & ridiculousness, it’s not happening. We demand great food, quality and service. It’s not negotiable, but as a community, we’ve been taken advantage of & it ends NOW.

Low key place and food is ok. To be fair I only had soup and plan on giving it another try, the restaurant was very busy when I came in and each time I would ask my waiter a question, the Asian lady with the dreads kept answering for him. I’m assuming she is the manager, my waiter was completely confused and overwhelmed.

I’ve been here so many times(consistently excellent coffee + food, reasonable prices), but tonight the service really shined so I thought I’d write a review! I came in and asked if I might be able to grab a salad and be in+out in 20 minutes or so, and the manager personally took my order before I even sat down and my salad appeared in less than five minutes! The staff went out of their way to make sure I got my check quickly, but they didn’t make me feel rushed at all. A+ I will say sometimes when the restaurant is very crowded the staff gets a bit harried, however I’ve never ever felt like they were being rude. In fact, normally they will go the extra mile for you despite the busy atmosphere! The kitchen is quite small, which explains why sometimes the food takes a bit of time, but the quality is so good that it’s really worth waiting for. I have to say I am often suspicious of restaurants who try to tackle both Italian and Spanish-style fare, but Il Caffe Latte pulls it off effortlessly. Highly recommend the green tea latte, mango muffins, the signature salad, the salmon burger… and basically everything else! Very chill spot for a casual dinner. Yum!

This is a very cute, quaint, and cozy little spot. The food is tasty. The service is genuine. I love that they serve almond milk as a milk substitute. The green tea latte was delicious. The breakfast wraps are great. The sweet potato fries were perfect. A great place to come with our son(kid friendly).

This is the cutest, coziest restaurant with amazing food! The oatmeal is in a huge bowl and comes with raisins, cream and brown sugar. It’s made really good and is delicious. It’s definitely filling for one and could be a side for two people. The hot chocolate comes in a nice size mug and gives a very«home in front of the fireplace» feel. The hot chocolate can be made with milk, almond milk etc. It’s your choice. The service was good as well. The servers were alert and came by frequently. It was brunch time on a Saturday morning so it was busy but the service didn’t lag.

I’ve come here three times and it never fails me. If you want a nice quaint date spot in Central Harlem that serves good tea and food, this is the place to come to. Love the décor of the place, service is good and so is the food. They’ll be seeing me again.

Stopped by with a friend for an impromptu brunch following the Thanksgiving Turkey Trot in Central Park. Since we were all trotted out and hungry, our decisional capacity was quite low, so naturally we both ordered the same Acapulco Platter. This dish included flour tortillas, scrambled eggs, fresh queso fresco, guacamole, pico de gallo, sour cream, lettuce, and fresh mango. Oooh-wee(as my friend would say), it was delicious! All the ingredients are separated so you can combine them how you wish. Everything was very fresh and the flavors mixed very well. I washed my dish down with a cup of hot chocolate and my friend had a Chai Latte. Will be back! Yum!

Came here just to grab a hot chocolate and tea with my mother one Saturday. I asked could we sit at a table and was told sure. Our server seemed very disinterested and paid us little attention. When our drinks arrived my mom asked for honey for her hot tea and it took almost 10 minutes for her to get it. By that time her tea was lukewarm. This is a cute spot but the service was lacking. I’m not sure if it was because we didn’t order food or not. Either way good attentive service should always be given to paying customers! Not sure if I will ever give them another try. On a good note, the hot chocolate was delicious.

Not a bad place for bunch. The salmon burger is nice and juicy. The chicken pesto panini was really good as well. This is a relaxing place to grab a coffee and a bite to eat. Overall: might return, there are a lot of good options in the area.

We walked in to the café and there was no one to greet us. It’s a small place, but there was plenty of staff there. They all ignored us. I asked a staff member who was walking by if we could seat ourselves and she said no, that we’d need to wait for a table for two and it could be a while even though there was an empty table for 4 available. Shortly after she told us not to seat ourselves a woman by herself sat down at the empty table for four. The staff member then just walked away and we went back to being ignored. It was also very hot in the café like there either was no air conditioning or it wasn’t working. It was a disappointing experience as we were looking forward to having breakfast there. We ended up walking out and around the corner to Amy Ruth’s where there was a/c, we were greeted with a smile and seated immediately. Big difference. We were visiting from out of town. Next time we visit we will not be going back to Il Café Latte.

Don’t expect to have a friendly, attentive experience. I wouldn’t come back if it were not for the good food. No matter how hard you try to be friendly and engage the staff, they are just having none of it. It really is a pity, because the food is great — I would eat here on a weekly basis if they didn’t make you feel so unwelcome.

TL: DR good food, breakfast options scarce. Coffee and pastries were excellent. Nice cheery ambience. Staff was attentive. My husband and I ate breakfast here before we left the city. The coffee was good and hot. The menu was a little sparse for breakfast. I had the turkey and egg croissant which was hot, cheesy, and delicious. My husband did the ‘make your own omelet’ and it came with a salad. The omelet was good, not to wet. The salad was a bit misplaced since it was for breakfast. I did see other guests order lattes, cappuccino, etc. which looked fantastic. My only other wish was that I could have tried some dessert in the display case because it looked incredible. Overall a pleasant experience. Staff was nice and attentive, seating was available, décor and ambience fit the café.

Caffe latte gets 5 stars for always being on point. I order catering from here regularly for work events. The service is great. I speak with the owner anytime I need to place an order. She is always available and accommodating to our budget and needs. And the delivery guy always comes 15 minutes early. Which is a definite plus! Everyone especially loves their penne alla vodka, hot paninis and the mixed greens salad. We’ve also ordered their assortment of quesadillas, chips with salsa and quac. Which was also a definite hit. They’re always my go-to when I need a crowd pleaser on a time crunch.

Sooo disgusted with this place, even after giving it a second try. Just walked out after the proprietor started an argument with me over whether I could use a second paper cup to insulate my hot drink to go. I had thanked the cashier for being kind enough to indulge me, but even after explaining to the little old Asian lady who runs the place that the paper sleeves keep popping off the bottom of the cup, she insisted patronizingly(to my view) saying«Here, let me show you how it works…» She almost seemed worried that the people in the restaurant would judge her about the differential in paper waste between the paper sleeve and the paper cup. All grabbing my cup and touching it, removing the second cup, and I don’t know if her hands are sanitized… So I said«I never had anyone cause this much of an argument over a paper cup in a coffee shop…» To which her eyes widened, «This is not a coffee shop, this is a restaurant!!» To which I replied«it’s called il caffè latte!» I really wanted to «support local» and not stop at a chain place, but I never have to deal with service like this at a Starbucks… The coffee and carrot cake was good, tho’. :)

Il Caffe Latte is a cute and cozy spot located in Harlem. I would say overall the feel of the place is very intimate and a perfect place to take a date to. I went with a couple of girl friends to enjoy some brunch. Here’s the deal: — I would say service is okay, but not exceptional. I happened to go on a Saturday and the place was quite packed so lets chalk it up to that. — The coffee isn’t the greatest so be sure to pack on the sugar. I also ordered soy as an option since I don’t drink dairy milk, which my girls had with their coffee, but I was charged an extra fee. When is this going to be the norm to add non-dairy options to your coffee at no extra cost? But I digress. — After looking over the menu I decided to order huevos rancheros. I really wanted something with home fries, but decided to be adventurous and get something outside of my comfort zone. My dish was actually really good. The eggs were on top of refried beans, tortilla chips, and an array of other things. — We decided to look over the dessert menu to end our meal. I had the BEST carrot cake I’ve had by far in my life! Seriously, it was rich and the frosting was sweet but it wasn’t overkill either. This is a nice spot to go to if you find yourself in Harlem and in the mood to grab a bite to eat.

HMM… This place is definitely a spot that you would say is «cozy.» I think sometimes work can be boring so I like to be friendly, I’m an extrovert. Im pretty funny [at least I think so?] so usually I try to be funny with my waitress/waiter to make their day better. My waiters were NOT having it no matter what. It actually made things awkward for my table… I guess he wasn’t in a comical mood. Anyway… The food wasn’t too bad. I had the french toast with fruit but that’s literally all that comes with it [they have no turkey bacon which is big for me] and it wasn’t the best i had. The coffee was NOT too good either. However, the carrot cake and brownies are AMAZING. Definitely intimate enough to talk and hold a great conversation which i liked. I would go again if there was no other place.
