Insomnia Cookies

Their cookies are good but they’re not worth the extended wait for them. Honestly, they have several locations throughout Manhattan so find a spot you can walk to and pick them up. Here’s some advice to business owners, give your customers an honest assessment of how long their order will take, the original estimate for a dozen cookies was 40 minutes tops and I waited over an hour and a half. As of this moment I am still waiting for them and have considered canceling my order and going to bed without have to expend all these calories. It’s just not worth it because this insomniac is very sleepy.

The macadamia cookies are my favorite ! Had that one and the m&m cookie it was warm and delightful #sweettooth cookies aren’t big/​huge average size but they taste good. After I had them with milk they sell u just wanna go take a nap right after lol. Inside the place is very small couple seats. Other than that they close at 3am

Incredible cookies. We were passing after dinner and I suggested we give it a try. My son said «you’ve never had? Everyone knows insomnia cookies.»
So I just recently joined «everyone.»
As soon as we walked in, the smell of fresh baked cookies — amazing. I had a chocolate chip cookie which was served melt in your mouth warm. My son and I both love.
Someone next to me was ordering a couple dozen for a birthday party which is a great idea — and they also offer one or two gluten free options.
Highly recommend insomnia for the sweet tooth.

I’d been to one of their other locations several years ago. They are open until 3:00am, hence their name. Their cookies are still good, though a little on the sweet side. They are not big either (only slightly bigger than a Chips Ahoy). I tried the Chocolate Chunk, White Chocolate Macadamia, and Peanut Butter cookies — all of them were good. However, it appears that their prices have gone up. They charge $ 1.65 for one cookie now. And when I looked at their menu — Even if you order 50, 100, or 300 cookies, the cost still ends up being over $ 1 per cookie.

Lol… probably one of the worst customer service experiences. Walked in and no one was ordering or even sitting down to eat. Was not greeted of anything. I was told to «hold on» when trying to place an order. The cashier was clearly just having a bad day, but not necessary to make someone the customer have a bad day as well. It was frigid inside, to the point where I didn’t even want to sit inside… maybe that was her ploy all along. Anyway, back to bad attitude betty, she just continued to scoop cookies out of the oven and place new ones in as I was waiting patiently. Won’t be coming back.

Horribly frustrating experience!!! They delivered two hours late, forgot our $ 3.25 priced milk, the one milk we actually received was warm, cookies were cold and hard, and when you call to talk to the store you actually reach a call center with representatives who are unable to provide information as to when your order will be delivered. They would not provide the direct number to the store either — and one of the people of there was not the nicest — yikes! Who thought ordering cookies could be so frustrating?!
Will stick to nestle cookies from now on.

Love coming here to treat myself to some well deserved after work sweets! The cookies are served warm and fresh. I usually order the box of 6 for $ 9. Pretty good deal. The cookies are a decent size and taste amazing. I usually get the oatmeal raisin, white chocolate chip, sugar and peanut butter cookies. Highly recommend the establishment for a sweet treat.
P. S. They sell milk to go along with the cookies.

The red velvet cookie is so beautiful. I might cry. The fact that they deliver must be great for anyone who lives in Manhattan

I was super excited to try this place with my boyfriend last week. However, as soon as I arrived I was disappointed. I heard so many great things about Insomnia Cookies. I really love trying new places in the city. But this turned out to be a big let down. When we got there, I was surprised to realize that the place was about the size of a closet. Literally, there are no seats and nowhere to eat inside the store. The only option is to take out the cookies and bring them home. This was a little annoying because they are probably better to eat when they are warm. Next, the staff is very unprofessional. I am not some conservative as*hole or anything, but I am pretty sure using the n word in front of customers and telling people to f*ck off is a little much. Overall, the place looked very run down, somewhat dirty and like the cookies weren’t fresh.
Now on to the most important stuff — the damn cookies. Hm… they just weren’t good. I probably could have bought frozen cookies from the supermarket and baked them myself. They didn’t have as many flavors as I thought and they really weren’t good. Better off going to Schmackary’s honestly. I definitely won’t be going back here. I gave two stars because they were cheap and edible but I would never come here again.

I’m not sure what the hype is all about. They only offer a variety of warm cookies and a few other items. The price alone threw me off from even wanting to try it. It is way overpriced for a cookie — definitely not worth it. You can get cheaper and cookies that taste the same to the layman at Subway, BJs or Costco. The location that I went to was small and did not seem to be properly maintained; and it definitely did not look presentable. Not sure if I’d ever try cookies from here unless it was free or prices were cut by at least 75%.

Fresh baked cookies, but a little too pricey. Around $ 1.60 for one small cookie, and roughly $ 3.50 for a slightly larger cookie. Again, they are fresh baked, chocolatey and gooey, aaanndd they deliver super late! Until like 3 am I believe. They have lots of cookies to choose from… Chocolate chip (my favorite), oat meal, peanut butter chocolate chip, etc…
Overall a good cookie, but not worth the price. If you want a great cookie, go to Levain

5 stars for the cookies, one star less for the actual space and the lack of milk options! Come on guys, it’s 2016! All they have is regular milk and chocolate milk no soy milk, almond milk or any type of alternative for those of us with allergies or intolerances. Not being picky some people actually can’t have milk and for a place whose main focus is cookies (that is obviously regularly paired with milk!), you’d think they’d take this into consideration. Definitely worth looking into, Insomnia!
Anyway, the space is tiny and really not meant for anyone to hang around. There are like 3 stools and that’s about it and the décor is horrible and pretty unwelcoming. The only thing that IS welcoming is the smell!
So, on to the cookies… they’re great! Not too too many options, but the ones they have are fantastic and relatively cheap. Always served warm and they taste great!

The cookies are 5 stars, also the people who work there are super friendly. We order two cookies, comes right up. Would recommend the M&M cookies those are the best!

Omg amazing!!! Stopped by late last night for a treat. We arrived 5 mins before closing so the selection was a little slim, but we made do. We tried the chocolate chip, sugar, double chocolate, m&m and white chocolate macadamia nut cookies. They’re all AMAZING! They come in a cute little box and are warm and gooey and perfect.
Needless to say, we devoured them immediately. Will be returning again soon — maybe tonight. I think I’ve met my weakness!

I had heard about this place from my cousin and just happened to be walking by when I decided to stop in and try these cookies out for myself. I got a s’mores, double chocolate and a mint chocolate chip. I was extremely disappointed in the s’mores cookie as it was hard and tasted absolutely nothing like a s’more. But I’m still going to give this place three stars because the double chocolate and mint chocolate chip cookies were awesome! I love a good double chocolate dessert and this hit the spot. While I will not go out of my way for this place, I’ll definitely pick up a cookie or two if I happen to walk by again.

Let me start this review by saying you MUST go try this cookies only for the simply fact that the staff is amazing and they gave me two cookies for the price of one () just because it was my first time trying them. I asked the worker which one did he recommended and he said he loved the peanutbutter one so I told him I’ll get one of those and he gave me two and told me he hoped I enjoyed them. #SuperFriendlyStaff!
And well ofc I did enjoyed the cookie (I literally devoured both of them in less than 2 minutes) I’m still thinking about how I was able to even take the picture before eating it () I mean it was that good! You could definitely taste/​feel the «Googi» soft, dense and strong peanutbutter flavor… It was simply delicious, and I’ll absolutely with no doubt will come for a second visit to try the m&m’s cookie, the white chocolate macadamia and the deluxe chocolate peanutbutter cup!

I had the chocolate chunk and M&M cookies and I have to say they were delicious. I’d never eaten cookies this gooey and warm.
Definitely a must-​visit place if you are into this kind of food.

Finally stopped by today after lunch to get ourselves a little treat. My husband recently tried their cookie from a different location near his work, and raved about their cookies. So today, after lunch, i suggested if we could get a couple of cookies for the road. He agreed, so we stopped for a deluxe s’mores ($ 3+), a white chocolate macadamia ($ 1.60) and a double chocolate chunk ($ 1.60).
The cookies are delicious, rich and OMG, we should have only bought 2 instead of 3. It was really good, but for us, is a treat once in a blue moon. I mean, afterall, it is $ 6++ for 3 cookies! It is pretty expensive. If you want a treat on your cheat day, come on by and get a couple for the road. They also have a box of 6 traditional (smaller size) for $ 9.

Thank you to whoever left a box of Insomnia Cookies in the Pharmacy breakroom at NYP! I was so tired from having to work until 11:30pm but was instantly re-​energized after tasting these cookies right before I left work!
Peanut Butter– I normally hate peanut butter cookies because they’re too sweet for me but I found these to be really good! Not too sweet at all and had the perfect hint of peanut butter.
White chocolate macadamia– The chocolate and the macadamia flavors blended so well together! I really liked how the sweetness of the chocolate complemented the nuttiness of the macadamia.
M&M– Was not a fan of this one. It tasted cheap, generic, and way too sweet.
Even though I didn’t actually buy the cookies, I did my research and found out that they’re about $ 1.50 each, which isn’t bad, especially compared to the price of a cookie at Levain’s. The taste of the cookies, while nothing spectacular, was decent. I would say give Insomnia Cookies a shot and see if you like it or not!

Midnight craving for cookies — what’s more to be said?
Stopped here on the way to Dorrian’s and barely made it there. When you open the door the cookie aroma’s let you know you made the right decision.
I had the snicker doodle and white chocolate cookies. 1.50 $ each, chewy and super delicious. Went to Dorrian’s down the block afterwards and wished I never left the cookie shop.
