The two girls at this location working right now we’re two of the rudest and dumbest workers I’ve ever encountered. It was my first time there and they ran out of lids for ice cream. I needed a top to cover my ice cream cause I was walking home. They didn’t have any so she asked me if «I wanted it or not» then the young girl told me it was her first day. Her other coworker and up front to help her cause she didn’t know or understand how to scoop ice cream into a dish. Once she figured it out I told her I also wanted 6 cookies and she told me the price and she went to get 6 cookies without asking me which cookies I wanted. So she brought me 6 of the same cookies I told her I wanted different kinds and she threw a fit. I then asked her if I did anything to upset her because the service and her attitude was so mean and rude. She said «nah I’m good «and her manager or the late night girl with her told me to serve me faster cause she wanted me to leave and so that she could“paint her nails» and make her eye brows on «fleek». I will never go back and insomnia cookies should never hire people who can’t even scoop ice cream. Ruined my experience for ever thanks

It makes me sad to say that the cookies at this location were just like normal cookies. No extra added flare, like I was expecting from my previous visits to Insomnia. The staff wasn’t very pleasant either. I’d love to see this place turn around though, maybe a better batch of dough next time? ;)

Absolutely amazing cookies however the experience is shattered by the girl serving the cookies. I have come in there 5 consecutive times with different individuals and every time her disposition gets harder to deal with. It’s as if she hates her job or life for that matter. 0 stars for service …

Worst customer service ever if you want to even call it that. Ordered via grubhub 2 hours ago and estimated time was 35 minutes. Insomnia took NO responsibility for them not communicating accurate delivery times, offered no apology, offered no remediation and told me to call grub hub.

We just experienced the worst customer service ever! We ordered two cookies yes only two and it took 3 hours to get to us. The cookies came hard and stale and we tossed them away since it took 3 hours to get to us and we were already heading to bed.
To add insult we spent over three phone calls lasting each twenty minutes trying to figure out where our order was. Your response was «its a busy time». Well I’m sorry, that’s not the customers issue. The fact that you order something at 9 pm and get it at 12 am when we are going to bed is beyond ridiculous. Furthermore, not one person called or emailed us to tell us of such a delay. If that was the case well hello we wouldn’t wait three hours for 2 cookies.
When we tried to cancel the order the rep told us we couldn’t because the delivery was out and there was no way to get in contact with the driver… Again not our problem. Yes we get is valentines, but seriously 3 hours for two old stale cookies? How the hell can you justify it ?
Never again will we order from your establishment ever!

YUM YUM YUM! The characters you find here are hilarious, late night stops are my favorite. The deluxe chocolate or S’mores are increible how they stay warm melted chocolate and googy dough in the middle.
For $ 5 a great snack you’re definitely feel guilty about afterwards. But for that moment, own it, get chocolate on your face and be indulged!

The apathy is strong with this one.
I’m convinced that Insomnia Cookies writes in their job description, «Must be willing to expend as little time or effort possible to serve customer’s needs.» The workers at this tiny little store act as though their simply being physically present should be enough, and what more do you want, you ungrateful customer you? You want to BUY something?
Once you place your order, after patiently enduring a round or two of eye rolling and loud sighs from the person behind the counter, you can stand off to the side, the worker will return to checking their phone, and you will wait longer than necessary for your cookies to come out.
However, once you get the cookies, they will be delicious. Warm and chocolatey and gooey and all kinds of deliciousness. You can’t blame the cookies.

I LOVE Insomnia Cookies! I always get the deluxe smores cookie or the chocolate chip. They are warm and perfectly gooey. It also doesn’t hurt that it’s open so late; I end up making a lot more late night cookie trips than I really care to admit to.
Why 3 stars? The prices of the cookies are good, but the milk is expensive. $ 2 (or maybe it’s $ 2.50, can’t remember) for a small bottle of milk?! I can buy a half gallon at Trader Joe’s for the same price. And even worse, the staff is SO RUDE. They clearly do not care about my business. I wish I was strong enough to not give my money to an establishment that doesn’t care about my business, but the cookies are just too good.

Love this place! I discovered them when a friend sent me «birthday cookies». Their cookies are amazing — always delivered hot. Only complaint is they are way too good and I now order them way too often :)

After all the hype on Instagram, I thought Insomnia Cookies was all that… it’s not. Don’t get me wrong, the cookies weren’t horrible, it just tasted mediocre, that’s all! I tasted the chocolate chip cookie and the s’mores cookie (these are the deluxe cookies so they’re kinda big). $ 4 each cookie and it was worth it, in my opinion. The cookies were warm, since they just came out of the oven, which I appreciated. Make sure you get a glass of milk ready because I knew I needed it. I was disappointed to come to a realization that Insomnia doesn’t offer much cookie flavors…

Ordered delivery here. They charge an additional delivery fee on seamless of $ 1.99. Delivery never came. Tried calling their customer service number but got a person who had no idea how to resolve the issue because he had no idea how to reach the delivery guys?!?
Then tried multiple times to call this location with no success. Finally someone from corporate in Chicago called after I emailed multiple times only to tell me that the «order was already delivered.» WHAT??? It was not delivered. Lies. Lies. Lies. PLUS — was the 14^th street location even open or were they just taking orders with no plans on fulfilling them. BAD BUSINESS PRACTICES.
I tried them a year ago and had similar delivery issues. I thought they would have been resolved within the past year, but unfortunately not. PLUS they now even dare to charge an extra delivery fee.
The thing that galls me the most is that they said the order was delivered. Seems like a scam.
They said they would give us a coupon for our next order. What next order?
What a joke of a business.

I guess selling cookies is a really stressful job because every time I’ve been, the staff looks like they’ve been put through the ringer and they’re just ready to throw a cookie at me so I’ll leave. Usually, I deal with it bc I work in the service industry and I get it. and the cookies are really THAT good. But tonight, the girl at the counter wouldn’t even make eye contact, was mumbling under her breath and when I asked about a cookie I didnt get, she VERY rudely says ‘I SAID we were out of that one” and proceeded to shove the cookies at me. No more cookies for me. Spend your money and calories elsewhere.

I was extremely excited to give it a try today but was put down by the rude and unprofessional staff member. That just ruined my whole mood and ruined the entire experience for me all together. I didn’t understand what her reason was for all of that rudeness since I made the initiative to greet her with a smile and a hello.
Unfortunately I won’t ever be coming back here.

Had their chocolate chunk cookie with cookie dough ice cream. Omagod it was delicious! I love their soft bake cookies. Be ware the double chocolate chunk cookie is enormous

This was my first time to I. C. and it was AWESOME. The staff was helpful and polite. I split a snicker doodle ice cream sandwich and we got a peanut butter and oatmeal raisin for later. I thought all the cookies were terrific. I would go there again anytime!

Saw this place a few times on 14^th and 8^th avenue and I decided to give it a try. I ordered a few cookies, and they were super soft and pretty good. I also bought the birthday bash icecream, which was pretty sweet. If you have a Unilocaler sweet tooth, then you will love here.

Love that they list the calories for the cookies (if you go on their website you can see the exact amount of calories per gram to get a more accurate count. I would highly recommend doing so as the weight of the cookies you get tend to skew higher than the serving size).
The ice cream does not list calories but it appears to be from perry’s ice cream premium (you can look up the nutritional information for the birthday bash ice cream and the piece of cake ice cream online).
The negatives
The cookies are extremely sweet. I really enjoyed the double chocolate one but the regular ones just didn’t do it for me.
This store only seems to have one employee working there and friendly is not an adjective I would use to describe her. Also, their customer service numbers doesn’t ring to the store but to the main office so it appears there’s no way to get in touch with an individual store besides going in person.
The layout/​ambiance of the store is not the greatest. They have a cut logo and you’d think the store would reflect — especially since it’s in such a prime area — but nope.

Awesome to see this right across the street from the train station. This place felt like the promise land to meet, it was just shining and looking like heaven.
Religion aside, the cookie I wanted was in the oven so I had to wait ten minutes. Came back and took three instead.
I chose to eat one in the store.
The cookie was the deluxe peanut butter chocolate cup cookie.
The cookie fell apart on me because it was so melty, but in a good way!
This company is a definite MUST for any cookie lover. Best part? They close late… Like 3 AM late. Good for the consumer, bad for the worker.
The service was great. The atmosphere was nice and friendly.

I’ll admit that I’ve been hesitant about trying Insomnia Cookies over the years as it has expanded massively.
I’m not the biggest fan of chains, but can anyone really say no to a free cookie?
Was handed a flyer for a free cookie while passing by and popped in for a cookie. Got a White Chocolate Macadamia Cookie while it was fresh and hot. I can’t believe I’ve never bothered to check out Insomnia Cookies all these years! Staff was very patient with us as a crowd boomed in after us. Will definitely stop by Insomnia Cookies more often!
