Insomnia Cookies

Love the cookies from here! Everytime I walk into an insomnia cookie store, the smell of freshly baked cookies welcomes me! I’ve tried the chocolate chunk, oatmeal raisin, peanut butter cup, snicker doodle and sugar cookies. They’re all good! Warm, moist cookies just the way I like them. The best part is this place closes late (3 am) and I can come here after dinner to satisfy my after dinner cravings for something sweet.
The negatives is this place is tiny. Really no place to sit. Doesn’t really matter because I get it to go. I haven’t tried any of their ice cream, cakes, or ice cream sandwich cookies but it’s just a matter of when not if.

The double chocolate chunk is so warm and soft… almost like a little piece of heaven.

They are amazing, But they are not Godly.
This place is small so expect to just get in and out. Some people though do not realize that they can’t just stand there in a 3 foot space eating their cookie. Gosh damnnit I need to get in! I had to wait 10 minutes once for all the people to get out… TEN MINUTES. And I had come all the way from new jersey just for these damn cookies. It was worth it.

This was my second time going to insomnia cookie! It’s a very small, but a cute place to get some extremely delicious cookies! I am hooked on their chocolate peanut butter cup cookie! One is just enough, they’re served nice and warm, and melt right in your mouth.
Service is good, staff is friendly and quick!
They serve milk and water with cookies! What else can a person ask for! I’m a fan!

Perfectly adequate for my mid-​day craving. They scored a great location in the middle of busy Macdougal Street. The space is small and cramped and definitely designed «to-​go». There is also a fridge with various milks. They several different kinds of cookies and while their wall menu is a bit confusing, they have a basket of display cookies next to the register. I had a standard chocolate-​chunk and an oatmeal raisin. It’s a nice touch that they warm them up. The chocolate-​chunk (it’s the chocolate chips that are big and more on the «chunky» side, the actual cookie is thin) melts and gets very gooey. Not too sweet, with a touch of salt. The oatmeal raisin had a good distribution of raisin throughout. Two of these came to about $ 3.50.

Life changing cookies. Heart

Just the thing when you need a midnight, or post-​midnight snack. Good dudes working here. Cookies are perfect, straight out the oven like a tiny, steaming pizza pie… with cookie dough… chocolate chips… and lots of sugar. Dangerous habit, tasty occasional indulgence.

I was so excited to try insomnia cookies for the first time today and was rudely treated by the gentleman on the cash register, I wish they had name tags or gave me a receipt so I could report him.
The guy with a ponytail working the register really needs to check his nasty attitude, he lashed out on me for a mistake that he committed. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS LOCATION UNLESS YOU LIKE TO BE SPOKEN DOWN TO. This person should not be working in a place like this, after I left this place I could not eat those cookies because I was so upset at the horrible customer service.

Had white chocolate and chocolate chunk cookies. Wasn’t as good than I expected :(But they’re pretty much okay!

We get Insomnia all the time at work and they always deliver within an hour. I like the snickerdoodle and double chocolate chunk best, but in general I find that all of the cookies here are a little on the oily side. Still, they do the trick and I love that they are delivered warm. 3.5 stars.

Insane cookies, every time. Go ahead and get the jumbo cookies. The s’mores and double chocolate chunk are my favorites.

THIS PLACE IS A PATHETIC EXCUSE FOR A BUSINESS. I ordered a large cookie platter via Seamless (YES IM ENORMOUS), waited 3 HOURS!!!, it did not come… ever…did not arrive and not a single world from this awful establishment… THEN I processed a cancelation through Seamless — who of course need to call the business to confirm… AND INSOMNIA LIED AND TOLD THEM THAT THEY DELIVERED THE FOOD AND IT WAS ON TIME! SO NO REFUND ISSUED!
They should be ashamed. How dare they do this to someone in desperate need of cookies? A true example of cruelty and I will never ever let them fool me again.

When you get these cookies, the cookies always come out warm which makes it an above average experience. The selection that they have in such a small place is pretty good. My favorite would have to be the white macadamia cookie. $ 9 for six cookies is pretty reasonable as well.

Awfully small place… There were like 4 people inside already and I had a hard time getting in. Cookies were pretty yummy though and the prices are pretty reasonable. Not amazing… but good enough. Ordered the 6 piece set and got like 1 of each flavor. I would say the Macadamia cookie is my favorite. Definitely coming back for some more!

I thought that my cookie was going to be amazing but they are just regular cookies. Good but nothing amazing…
I believe that the concept is what makes Insomnia cookies original. However, I am not sure that if I woke up at 2 am and would like to eat a cookie
Especially because I live in BK and the store is in the village. I rather go back to sleep than wait 30 min for a cookie.

It’s National Cookie Day. Another fake food holiday to justify my nycfat behavior. You get a free chocolate chunk with any purchase. I decided to try the Deluxe Peanut Butter Cup Cookie ($ 3.48) apparently cookies have tax added now. This big-@$& cookie was buttery and flaky but overall I felt it was dry. I would have like it to have more candy bits. The chocolate chunk was smaller but much better. It oozing with warm melted chocolate. It also more moist and delicious.
The store is tiny with barely enough to get in the door with a person standing at the counter. The guy on staff was quite nice.

Quick stop, super crowded and small, no where to really sit down and eat but great on the go! Absolutely delicious cookies, each and every one of the 6 I tasted.

Not mind-​blown cookies, but it does the trick when you want cookies and you don’t wanna bake some. I only get chocolate chip or double chocolate so I can only speak for those. The cookies are soft, warm, and gooey. It goes perfectly with milk. Too bad they don’t sell soy :(
The staff is friendly and really chill. They aren’t allowed to sell broken cookies so they gave us a cookie that was split in half for free.

This place is pretty great. I was just visiting NYC and late after dinner one night, we needed something simple and sweet. Who can resist a freshly baked cookie?

Seriously, walking up to the store front — you could already smell the sugar. The place was busy, people buying numbers of different kinds of cookies.
The cookie is a little more expensive then I would normally pay for a single cookie but I suppose you’re paying for the experience. It’s a unique service that I wish was found elsewhere as well.
I’d go again if I were in the neighborhood. They do deliver, but probably not across the country.

Burnt cookies. Only pro is that it opens late.

I hear everyone raving about these awesome cookies so I decided to try one since I pass by the shop. The aroma of the shop made me want to eat their cookies already, haha. It’s a really welcoming and warm smell that slaps you in the face once you walk in.
I tried the white chocolate macadamia cookie. It was very soft and SUPER sweet. Too sweet for my liking, but it was a good cookie. I don’t think I could eat more than one cookie on my own. I had to share this one with my friend. Overall, the cookie was alright. It wasn’t like AMAZINGGGG, but it was good/​alright.
However, I think the idea of it opening/​delivering until 3am. If I ever wanted some cookies in the middle of the night during finals week… I know where to go. :)

Dude, cookies as big as my face. The regular cookies are normal sized, but watch out for the deluxe ones.
Get the white chocolate macadamia! By far my favorite cookie of theirs. I also can’t resist peanut butter cups so I would recommend the deluxe chocolate peanut butter cup, but be warned that it’s ENORMOUS.
I’ve tried most of the cookies at Insomnia before and they’re all pretty good. If you go to the store they’re always warm and gooey, but it’s a hit or miss with delivery. All the cookies are extremely sweet so I would recommend getting milk to wash down the cookies. It’s a bit pricy in store ($ 3.25) but you won’t regret that ice cold milk.
Keep in mind that these are still just cookies: you’d probably enjoy store bought cookies just as much and at a cheaper price. Nevertheless, Insomnia is good.

*snickerdoodle (this cookie made me stop in my tracks to pause and savor its goodness. The warm snickerdoodle made me feel like I was being hugged by a cute chubby grandma. Haha. I really liked this cookie and was definitely my fave out of the six I tried)
*mint chocolate (yummy!!! dark chocolate and mint is one of my favorite combinations. definitely one of the best mint chocolate cookies I’ve had. would be great with vanilla ice cream too)
*white chocolate macadamia (yes! so good but I just wish the cookie itself was thicker so biting into it with the nuts and chocolate chunks will provide more of of a fulfilling sensation)
*peanut butter (yum! I just wish there was more peanut butter in it. or maybe peanut butter chunks throughout)
This place is small but produces such great quality cookies. This one customer came in asking for nut-​free cookies, but the employee said that he doesn’t recommend purchasing cookies if he’s that sensitive to nut products. So I guess if he have nut allergies, avoid this place which is such a loss. Anyway, I would 100% come back here. mainly for the snickerdoodle cookies.

Don’t over think it. It’s late (or past 3pm) and you want cookies. Sure, it may be a bit irrational to want cookies while studying at 2am, but there you are in need of cookies. This happens to me semi frequently. I normally get either the peanut butter cup cookie which is deluxe or just peanut butter. Both are delicious and go well with milk. I prefer some almond milk, which they do not sell, but you do you.
The cookies are warm, gooey and buttery. They are what a cookie should be, like my mother would have made if she baked.
Once my cookies arrived cold :(BUT they sent over a new batch right away with an extra free cookie AND a discount code for some more free cookies. That’s great customer service.
They do have a minimum, so just order more cookies. They also have weekly deals so hop on those for cheaper cookies.
I eat too many cookies.

This is one of our favorite cookie spots!!! The cookies were so tasty and moist and even lasted a couple days in the box and still tastes magnificent. We ordered one of each flavor (about 12 cookies total) and we were glad we did so we can pick favorites for next time (double chocolate chip, snickerdoodle, s’mores, M&M, etc.).
The location is set on a great, popular street, next to Saigon Shack, where we had lunch. This cookie place was the perfect spot to grab dessert. They offer drinks at this location too, including chocolate milk, etc. but we just bought a huge gallon of milk at a grocery store to help us devour these cookies.
My only complaint is the cashier at the time seemed awkward and acted as if he did not want to be there. He seemed very lazy and inconsiderate but we were glad we were able to get our cookies to go! There is absolutely no seating; they have a large ledge by the window where you can sit down but the delivery people usually stack their things there.

Oh Insomnia cookies! Warm chocolate chip cookies for $ 1.50 each normally, but I went here on ⁴⁄₂₀ and they had a 420 special! hahaha 6 cookies for $ 4.20. Tip to remember for next year ;)

But you have got to love a company that delivers warm, delicious and gooey cookies around the neighborhood! At $ 1.50 a regular cookie and $ 3 for special cookies, that is considered a steal. I would happily pay that if I was ever craving a chocolate chunk cookie!

Warm & delicious cookies that can be delivered to your door? Waddup, Insomnia cookies you have my heart. While I don’t go to NYU or live in the area, as a visitor I found this idea to be delighftul and unique and wish that I had a place like this where I go to school!
It’s inexpensive at $ 1.50/cookie for their regular flavors and $ 3 for a deluxe cookie. Also if you want to wash down the delciousness that is a insomnia cookie, a pint of milk is $ 3.
When you want a cookie, but don’t want to get up to get it? Insomnia cookies can definitely feed your inner lazy with cookies right to your door. & If you’re in the area already (since it’s conveniently located near various bars, lounges, etc), end your night out with a cookie. Your tastebuds will not be disappointed… unless you’re a cookie hater.
