This is one of those jewelry stores that draws you in with all the pretty sparkly walls of jewelry but then once you look closer it’s really nothing special. I’ve come in here a couple times and left with nothing. I was drawn in recently by a 50% off sale, but all the clearance jewelry just looked tacky. I would come here if I was in desperate need of some jewelry, and although it’s pretty cheap, I think you’re better off shopping at H&M a few blocks down.

Good selection of very cheap rings. I went in a couple of days straight and bought more than 10, and after one to two wears all the stones fell out. I went to exchange it, telling them that I bought a lot of ring and had taken 3 of my friends to shop as well and they said I couldn’t. An older lady went to the back to fix it and came back with a ring with glue all over it, as she had tried to glue the rhinestones back herself. She pretended not to understand me and finally said that it wasn’t their responsibility and that there was nothing they could do. If I had known that she was going to go in the back and fix it herself, I would have kept it how it was. Horrible service, and they say 20% off though is it always, every day you go in there, 20% off. I would never go back again, it is better to pay a little more for better quality, unless you need them for Halloween!

Pro: this place has a huge selection of items to suit just about any occasion. I would consider this a stop if you are looking for fun statement pieces for everyday purposes or special events including for a wedding/bridal party. They have items such as the ever tending bin necklaces made from every fabric including leather. Prices run between the teens to mid thirties. Con:location, location, locaction. I’m guessing that because it’s a stones throw from Bloomingdales their rent is Hella expensive, hence the price for the goods. If this store were say on 28th and 6th the items would be much cheaper. Check it out for yourself.

Really good prices, a lot of choice and varieties. Not the best jewelry but pretty accessories and good quality for the price. I really love the necklaces, 25% on everything…

Pretty costume jewelry with lots of pastels and neon that’s currently trendy at the moment. The store is about medium sized and the lot of the earrings were going for over $ 10 but I did spot a $ 1 bin filled with some nice earrings toward the front which I dig cause I’m all about the discounts! When I went in they were having a 25% off sale so you could score some nice baubles for a discount if you go now.

One of the better selections of costume jewelry I’ve found. Very nice people, very good selection. I found trendy enamel bangles that were not gigantic for $ 13 plus 25% off. Bought two for me, one for my sister I will visit them again.

a friend of mine got me a ring from this store, when I went to visit her she wanted to go back. While I was in NY we went to the store. It was small and very cute. It might be a bit overwhelming but its def a must do. I got the most beautiful heart shaped ring there and a wonderful owl necklace. The prices are affordable too.

Not only was I in the area a few nights ago, but I was also in the mood to shop costume jewelry. Somehow, the summertime makes a girl feel that it’s essential to have all the right accessories to compliment their whimsical outfits. It’s fun being a girl(guys, be jealous)! That being said, this narrow little store is pretty wonderous in the variety of things they carry. You will not find anything truly unique, it’s all the generic type stuff that is trendy in-the-moment, but I nabbed a few bracelets, a pair of earrings and some headbands all for around $ 40 with a storewide, 25% off discount promotion. Now that I think about it, I want to say that you can pretty much find anything that’s sold here in Chinatown within the same price range, if not cheaper, but, sometimes it’s nice to shop in a store with kind retail clerks and not have to buy your sparkly earrings next to a rubbermaid pail full of live frogs. As much as I love Chinatown and all the glorious knock-offs it has to offer, it can be a hot mess a lot of the time. Suggestion to the men out there! Do not under any circumstance, buy costume jewelry for your significant others here. It’s a bit(make that, a lot) on the tacky side and you will be branded as a stingy miser. It’s fine for hair accessories, but stay away from the earrings, necklaces and bracelets. For that sort of thing, jewelry and department stores are the golden tickets. J. Fay is obviously not a popular place with only two measly reviews. And, I assure you, no one would miss it if it all of a sudden closed down — including myself — but if you’re curious and wondering. I say, stop in and browse. They have cute evening clutches(but can be found much cheaper elsewhere). Still, I’m sure you will leave with a little something-something afterall.

I am currently looking for gold bangles and so walked in here hoping to find something. I found a couple of maybe’s, but wasn’t exactly sure if it would complement the dress I was shopping for, so I didn’t end up making any purchases. I was tempted to buy this bling out ring, but I am not too into costume jewelry for the fear of turning your fingers green and plus this ring has those annoying adjustable bands that I detest. If the band wasn’t adjustable I would have been able to fully commit to this ring. This store is extremely small and the staff all seem very helpful and sweet.
