Janet Youn, DDS PC

I’d just like to say a word on behalf of Linda, in contrast to Jay A.‘s experience. Linda has been with Dr. Youn at least as long as I’ve been a patient (7 years maybe?) and I’ve always found her totally lovely, pleasant, and efficient. Plus she has a very nice phone voice!

This is a review for Dr Janet Youn’s receptionist Linda because she made it impossible for me to even see how good Dr Youn is. Linda is rude, condescending, and incompetent. She didn’t note my appointment in the system when I tried to schedule my first appointment. Luckily I had called to confirm that day it was supposed to be because I thought it was weird that I didn’t receive any confirmation call. Then Linda kept calling me saying there was a problem with my insurance and that I should have checked with my HR before «wasting her time.» However, I did check that Dr Youn is in-​network and also I got confirmation from my insurance company’s customer service that my insurance covers out-​of-​network providers 60% of total cost. I think Linda is lazy and she has lost a client for Dr Youn. Maybe that’s what she wants anyway because she only has openings 4 weeks in advance, even for emergency situations (according to Linda).

You’re going to find a dentist ever few blocks in Manhattan, but I doubt you’ll find one who will treat you better and most importantly more painlessly than Dr. Youn. I blame bad genetics (not my diet) for cursing me with 7 root canals thus far. If I wasn’t stuck in afghanistan now, I’d make an appointment to see her ASAP to take care of the cracked crown I recently got from chomping down on a pebble stuck inside the surprisingly delicious afghan bread i was eating the other day.

She’s awesome! Try the nitrous… It’s excellent here :)

dr. youn is da bomb! she’s one of the flyest, sickest, kraziest dentists in all of nyc! she’ll bust all that whack plaque and cavities out of yo mouth wif a smile yo!
