Js Cleaner & Laundromat

If you want to be ripped off – as in charged for a long jacket instead of a simple sweater – go here! To them a simple sweater is a long blazer. $ 48 for 6 items seemed awfully unreasonable, and when i checked the receipt– he had put the word LONG in front of the sweater, shirt and blouse – all of which stop well above the hip line! «How is this long,» i conflagrated. He proceeded to deduct a dollar from the total, explaining that they have to ‘send out’ which really means, ‘Im ripping u off because we need to make rent”. ‘This is a sweater not a long jacket,’ i continued… but he had no shame or recourse. Grinning complacently, behind his questionably programmed pad, I angrily stomped out. 20 minutes later I discovered a quaint dry cleaning haven on Broadway near s.6^th, where to have all those same items cleaned– & 2 of them altered– costs only $ 28!!! Was there a language barrier problem problem before!!! Not sure, but Im glad I was neither rich nor foolish enough to put up with the Bedford trapshop. J– for Jip; but no one’s gonna JIP me. Always question prices, everyone, because official Menus do not dictate your clerk’s capriciously pricing ploys.

Terrible service!!!
Shirts were not ready when promised, had to come back another day.
Did refuse to take two orders on one bill to make the min. credit card amount of 15 $
And at the end one out of three shirts was ripped!
Not going back!

I have been going here for 3 years, originally doing my laundry myself but with new renovations doing drop off service. Thought I would be bummed not having the option to wash myself but must admit I’m enjoying how easy and relatively cheap drop off is. Same day service, $ 1.00 a pound and friendly staff!

Overpriced for postage. $ 8 to mail two discs? I haven’t mailed anything in awhile, but that’s a rip off anyway you slice it. Next time lll wait till Monday and get stamps at the PO.

They are the worst laundry ever. They loose your close, shrink them and leave them rotten.

First of all, I could care less about customer service in a laundromat. This place has the essentials for doing your own laundry, so if that’s all you’re looking for — 3.5 stars (it’s pretty cramped).
However, NEVER leave your clothes here for dry cleaning, fixes, etc. I’ve taken my clothes here 3 times now for the above and they’ve ruined each piece every time.

Its a super cramped place with very nice mostly mexican workers slaving away all day.
The dry cleaning is sent away — you are much better served to go a few block to diaz on Driggs and s.4^th for that. You won’t be all angsty with the results.
The postal part is relieable but overpriced.
Its sort of a typical crummy-​WIlliamsburg overpriced-​williamsburg scenario brought on by The Rent Game; they have to overcharge to cover the inflated rent, but their space is shabby for what they pay.

Let’s just get one thing clear right away: I am only reviewing the postal service, which has been excellent, they never lost a package and it is a pretty good deal $ 2 to receive. Nice guys.
As for the Laundry part: I have used the big machine once or twice, since I own my own washing machine, I do my own washing. To all the people who have their clothes dry cleaned, STOP doing it. Stop buying clothes that need to be dry cleaned, it is bad for the environment and your wallet. (I guess the only exception would be suits or large wool coats.) Hand wash is the way to go. Line dry, too. Clothes will dry if you hang them up. You don’t need a dryer. I got rid of my dryer. Also bad for the environment.
Again, the Postal service, these guys are great! I I use them ALL the time to receive packages and depend on them 100%. They run a good business, thank fully, since the local USPS, Willamsburg Station is not up to the task.

Fantastic service! have been getting my packages sent there for years never a problem. They are very organized and super friendlily! i feel very lucky to have them helping me out!

This place is terrible for dry-​cleaning and even worse in customer service and kindness. I would not recommend this place to anyone who wants good service
and good customer care. This place is a disappointment! I am totally dissapointed. Also they have illegal workers there who they treat not so well. This place is a bust!!!

I had been using this cleaner for a few months and haven’t had any issues until recently.
I dropped off a few shirts and a tan pencil skirt. The shirts looked fine but the skirt was another story. It looks ironed but on the back it was still dirty and had black lint all over it. The real issue was the giant safety pins stuck through it to hold it onto the hanger. So now it has 4 wholes in it at the waist. Took it back and they said they will fix it. I asked when i could expect it and he said a few days. So you ruined my skirt and you are going to take your time fixing it? Not good costumer service.
Will update post when i receive it. Never going back!

This is by far the worst dry cleaners I’ve ever used.
My boyfriend and myself have had several bad experiences here (at least 5).
— They have misplaced our items on a couple of occasions. When we have come to pickup our stuff they were no where to be found and one of the times it took them a week to find it.
— Our clothes have come back with new stains on a few occasions and had to send it back. The best part is that they try to accuse us of these stains and they were there to begin with. This has happened on more than one occasion.
— They try to up-​charge every chance they get and when you call them out on it they refuse to take responsibility and listen to the customer. A blouse will be charged as a jacket, a blouse will be charged as a dress etc.
— Now that I go to another dry cleaners in the area I have also noticed how much more expensive they are. A blouse will cost you roughly $ 6 here while at my new spot (brand new) it costs about $ 4.
Overall, terrible customer service, quality of dry cleaning services, organization and prices.

asked for a quicker turnaround and was met with a simple «no.» this place was met with a simple «cool you cant have my business»

This is the best laundromat in the neighborhood. Reliable and clean — pretty much all I ask for in a laundromat. I’ve been doing drop-​off here for years and have never lost (or gained!) anything.

This is my first review on Unilocal.I think the world of this multipurpose establishment. Not only is it an awesome affordable laundromat, but you can do anything here, just ask. I store keys, send faxes, send mail, receive packages. Plus the managers know their customers by name, and make a point to have great hours and be there for you. I LOVE this place. I am just waiting for them to set up their latte machines, because I could hang here…

Great place. They always remember me and do an amazing job. My clothes always come back clean, with stains removed and everything in great condition, on time. I’ve never been disappointed. Plus they are open until 9:30 at night except weekend. you really can’t beat that.

I had asked my neighbors where a good place was to do laundry and they all told me about this spot. I went to check it out and I refuse to go anywhere else. JS is always clean and the machines work great! I’ve taken my stuff to be dry-​cleaned and the price is awesome. I never had any complaints about the service or quality. Always reliable and the workers are pleasant.
I suggest the drop-​off service. It’s totally worth it and so convenient!
