First, I wish I could put NO stars and plain and simple the place is filthy! The people are rude and would never think of saying Hello and all the machines, carts and and whatever folding space they have (actually none) is always taken. I was desperate and in a hurry so that is the only reason I came here. I can guarantee you there is no caution when you have people bringing things in with bedbugs, harsh chemicals or turpentine! The workers here are oblivious to everything around them! The place is a dump and if I should EVER be desperate again, I will make sure I don’t come here!
AWFUL!

I’ll spare you the details. Traveling with a baby is gross.
Also, drop-​off laundry service in NYC is magnificent. One of the things I miss most.
Thankfully upon our arrival to Brooklyn on a recent trip, Bedford Laundromat was a few blocks away. I bagged up the biohazardous belongings (ok, I’m exaggerating A BIT) — tucked into this laundromat, warned them (and actually tipped in advance), and 24 hours later everything was fresh, clean, neatly folded and we were back in business.
They even specially washed our carseat cover (told you, stuff got real) — for an additional $ 6. Might seem steep but I sure as hell wasn’t about to be managing that process myself.
It’s not fancy (ok it’s the antithesis of fancy, it’s a laundromat) — and I can’t give a price comp as I hadn’t been to any others in the area (or in NYC since 2011) — but for $ 20, my situation improved greatly, and I’ll take that exchange any day.
Was nervous reading the other reviews but my experience was just fine indeed.
I’m not traveling with this kid again until he’s 20.

My boyfriend and I usually get our laundry done here since we live a few blocks away and it’s cheaper than the laundromat two blocks up. We usually drop it off and pick it up the next day. Although we were content with how we received our laundry in the beginning, we are starting to seriously doubt the service/​quality now. Our laundry NEVER smells good or clean. There’s a strange, sour smell whenever we get our clothes washed there. Over the last few months, each time we get our laundry back, we’ve noticed several other upsetting things: they’ve misplaced other peoples’ clothes with ours, and we end up with someone else’s t-​shirts or socks, some of our own socks go missing, and we can only assume they misplace ours into someone else’s laundry, we’ve received clothes with stains on them that were not there previously, AND I’ve received SEVERAL holes in my clothes! It used to be some older articles of clothing that I did not wear as much, but now they’re beginning to ruin some of our more expensive, favorite clothing. We don’t think we’ll be back.

Insane. I did my own laundry here, the guy next to me was washing towels covered in paint and was pouring about a gallon of turpentine into the washer — paints and turpentine traces surely ended up on the clothes of whoever did the next load. The ladies who worked there saw the whole thing but it was clear it did not bother them in the least. I wouldn’t wash your laundry here especially if you have kids.
Most of the machines were used by the employees washing drop off laundry. It was abundantly clear these ladies treated their customers’ laundry with what I can most favorably describe as disdain. When they were emptying the washers they let things fall to the floor and did not care. At one point a basket was placed right off the dirty floor on a pile of freshly cleaned sheets and underwear. Completely unhygienic, you are better off wearing that underwear for a week than brining it here for a wash. The dryers smelled like gasoline.
I also heard from my neighbors they constantly lose clothes when they do drop off, hence the self washing effort.
It’s as cheap unless you cant get a smaller machine then you end up paying $ 3.50 for a load.

This place is cheap but the washers are tiny. Lady who runs the place is inconsiderate and rude. The sign says they close at 11 — she tells me at 10:05 as I’m putting my laundry in the dryer that she’s closing at 10:30 and I have 20 minutes. Won’t be coming back here again.

This place started out great. Nice people and a quick turn around. Sadly, after a few months of using their service, the quality has gone way down. My last load came back smelling like dirty laundry (worse than it started) and my shirts were not hung up on hangers as paid for and promised. Basic dirt hasn’t been removed from articles and they’ve also consistently lost socks and underwear. I would not recommend them.

It’s your standard laundromat. I personally dropped my things off due to time restrictions on my trip. I was charge $ 6 for about 4lbs of clothes. It was a very small bag of leggings, a dress, etc. …oy vey!

I dropped my laundry off last week, and couldn’t believe how reasonable it was. I had several loads of clothes and bedding, and the sweet woman charged me $ 7.75. It would have cost me more to do it myself! I was able to pick it up that night, and everything was neatly folded and organized. My clothes also smelled really nice, and everything still felt soft. So glad this place is near my apartment, I’ll definitely be a regular customer!

Yup, it’s your standard laundromat. I’ve never actually done my laundry there, I just drop it off being as lazy errr umm busy as I am.
First, it’s cheap. Not sure how cheap exactly but I have not often spent more than $ 10 (I drop off about once a week). Today was an expensive one due to a couple towels and sheets… whopping $ 11.25.
Second, they are relatively friendly. Not like how’s your life? Isn’t the weather crazy lately? but just friendly. They smile at me. Smiles are nice. One woman remembers my name. Warm and fuzzies.
Third, It’s convenient. On my block and I drop off in the morning on the way to work and pick up on the way home. Easy.
Finally, the kicker. I picked up today and after I hauled my bag upstairs and went to unload it, I realized it was no longer tattered and falling apart. The woman at Bedford Laundromat had sewn my bag back together! The top cinching part had been completely coming apart before. This was major laundry bag surgery. She didn’t charge anything or ask, she just did it. Amazing. I am seriously getting her a thank you card. Think Hallmark makes cards for your laundry person?
