Just purchased a brand new Cervelo at JS Cycle. The attention was great (excellent customer service). All the people are very professional and give you all the orientation that you need and a good price ($) also. Living in NJ and having bike shops in my area, I prefer to go to NY and visit this store any time when needed.

The best bike shop ever. I didn’t even know they existed and happened to walk by one day, and since then it’s the only bike shop we use.
Not only are they really knowledgable (as any bike store should be), but they are also such caring people. When we asked about extending the stem on one of our bikes to install a child seat, they looked into it and eventually recommended to us not to do it for safety reasons – which meant losing a sale. But, of course, we were grateful they had warned us of a potential issue so we’ll be back for more bike maintenance in the future!
And as a bonus, the store isn’t cramped. So many bike stores in NYC cram in as many bikes as they can (which is understandable with the high rents), but this one is very comfortable.

Excellent customer service, always a good experience getting a bike from Juan Suarez one of the best mechanics in the city, the store stocks best products also best prices in the market, if you are a pro-​rider or beginner this is the choice!!! Thanks guys

The only bike shop I will go to!
They were extremely helpful with getting my old bike back on the road, going to the point of calling Royce Union to special order tires made specifically for my bike since they didn’t carry the size I needed in store.
Very wonderful staff & I would recommend JS Cycle before going anywhere else!

Juan is amazing. I came in for a simple cable job, and he redid the whole brake system for the same price. Maria is fantastic, and very welcoming. They have a very professional set up in such a wonderful space. I’ve found my bike store.

This is one of the best neighborhood bike shops in northern Manhattan. They’ve taken great care of me every time.
Only downside is that they don’t do rentals for when I have guests visiting.
Ultimately this is the only shop I’ll come to if I need to get my bike looked at.

JS Cycle is a true gem among the NYC cycling stores. I just purchased my 2nd bike from JSC, a Cervelo S2. I actually had my eyes set on a S5 but Juan advise me that S5 does not suit my riding objective and recommend the S2 ($$$ less than the S5) instead. Now, thats true professionalism & integrity.
I highly recommend JSC to anyone weather is an elite rider or your everyday commuter.

Juan runs a great shop! This place has been a great addition to the area, better than Mod Squad was in my book. They provide excellent bike services, products and cycles at fair prices. Super helpful and friendly place to stop whether you live in the neighborhood or just happen through on a ride through CP!

I really can’t say enough about this place and the staff there. Case in point: GO THERE!
The staff is knowledgeable and extremely friendly. Juan, a professional cyclist, is just insane when it comes to his ability to examine, diagnose, and «cure» issue with bikes. Maria interacts with customers, has a great spirit, extremely transparent, and so incredibly welcoming.
I purchased and brought in an old mountain bike for a «tune up». I was concerned as it wasn’t shifting, it made clicking noises along the crank, and the brakes were bad. Juan wasn’t phased.
The $ 65 tune up was the best money I’ve spent on the bike. ALL gears now shift smoothly, the brakes operate as if new, and the bike is like I just purchased it.
Amazing experience there; will never go anywhere else!

Great bike repair shop! I stopped in with a tire/​tube problem. They went to work on my valve with a pair of pliers, fixed it, didn’t insist on replacing the tube, and wouldn’t take a dime for their troubles. Lovely people. Highly recommended.

Came in today for the first time to get the fit of my bike checked. The staff were extremely pleasant, didn’t snub their noses at my heavy, steel road frame, and gave my ride a thorough once-​over. They didn’t try to up-​sell me on anything, quickly evaluated my setup, and I was on my way. Looks like I’ve found my new shop!
