Decent spot to grab a healthy smoothie post-​spin class at CYC. Love that it isn’t too far away and that at 7:30pm, the smoothies are made fairly quickly. You can choose to add sweetener (agave or dates or none) and you can choose between almond, soy, or hemp milk for the smoothies that require you to decide. My faves are: Mr. Greengenes (mango, banana, nut milk, spinach, kale, no sweetener) and Joyful Almond (nut milk, almond butter, cacao nibs, banana, frozen coconut milk). If you don’t add anything, these will set you back on average $ 8.66.

This place is pretty small but a must go if you’re looking for something nutritious and fresh. Your standard juices and smoothies although I like the combos here a lot better than other places. What excited me was that they sell young Thai coconuts here for only $ 4, need I say more. And side note the employees here are so incredibly nice! Really friendly staff is always a plus for me and since it’s such a tiny place it could get crowded easily but the line goes by fairly quick. I believe there’s only 2 seats here so good luck trying to get a seat but this is definitely a more quick grab and go trip since all that is available are smoothies, juices, some bakery goods, brand juices and coconuts really. I got acai but I suggest adding something extra with whatever you choose, never had the food here but the baked goods look promising for next time.

I always find myself here when I’m sick. The warm juices/​teas are so comforting. Ginger Fix and Cold Blast Warrior are always my favorite. A shot of The Defender always gets me back up and kicking again.

Tried Citrus C a juice which was pretty decent and. Also tried a smoothie called Peanut Butter split which has got good taste and acts like a proper food substitute.
The Juices have the small and large 20oz variants but the smoothies come in a single variant 20oz priced around 6.99−7.99
Worth giving it a try when you are in a mood for juice. They also have wide range of greener varieties.

I began going to Juice Generation for their protein shakes which I would get from time to time. My friends had gone to Maine and had an acai bowl. They raved about it. They asked me if I had even had one and I told them I hadn’t. The next time I passed JG I stopped and ordered one not knowing what to expect but keeping an open mind. I got the almond butter bliss which was delicious topped with bananas, strawberries and almond butter. It was very good; It is not a meal but a healthy snack. i would recommend and return.

I really enjoyed my Very Veggie juice from Juice Generation today. It was a little too sweet for me, but I enjoyed the bit of a kick from the ginger. A large was over $ 10 after tax, which seemed a bit steep, especially for non-​organic ingredients. I’m excited to come back and taste more of the juices and smoothies.

Friendly staff. Love that they substitute anything I want. So healthy — a gem in Hell’s Kitchen.

As part of my cheat day. I’ve invited some of my gym buddies to take in some calories for the day. Well, it turns out to be an awesome cheat day. Now I need to take out this calories… I enjoyed their shake. They offer pumpkin shakes now too.

This small but friendly little juice shop hit the spot when I was staying nearby and looking for a smoothie breakfast on my walk elsewhere. I got the green generation because I’m not a fan of super fruity smoothies for breakfast – I don’t want a sugar high to come down from later – and I liked that it was more veggie and creamy tasting than super sweet (it’s greens, seeds, avocado, with a little strawberry). The guy who made it suggested I might want to add some dates because it really wasn’t sweet at all, so I did ask to add just one, and that was perfect for me. It mostly tasted creamy and just slightly sweet, no bitterness from the greens, all in all the most like what I make at home every morning and which I usually can’t find in the super fruit heavy options I see at most smoothie shops.

I love this place. The people are nice and their smoothies are great. They do juice and smoothies which is awesome. Also I really love the Ginger Fix which is a hot drink.

Honestly mostly everything here is amazing.

Acai is a lot more watery than most places. In fact, I’d say it was prob a more watery than the smoothie we had. Strange but it still tastes really good and they try to source locally too. Not too much granola. The ratio of fruit: granola:acai was really JUStTTT right. Sounds so simple to get that right but going to acai places is always a toss up; it’ll make ya feel like Goldie locks every time.
Actually, now that I think of it, it also made me feel like the Jolly Green Giant in their cute lil shop. I mean, that’s quite a feat considering I’m 5’2″ haha. Anyway, like it. Come here if you’re in need of a quickie breakfast.

I have come to Juice Generation twice for lunch. I work in Times Square, so the walk over is not too bad, and luckily does not require me to fight through crowds of people to get there.
I am a huge fan of green juices/​smoothies (not a fan of really sweet/​fruity drinks) and I was really happy with my choice at juice generation each time. There are three green smoothie choices — kale kolada, mr. greengenes, and the green guardian. I have tried the green guardian and mr. greengenes, both with almond milk and no sweetner (you can choose between agave or dates). I really liked them both, but the green guardian was definitely my favorite. However, if you are not into green drinks, I would recommend at least getting a sweetener, or a non-​green juice/​smoothie (my friends at work really like The Protein Buzz and .
Its nice knowing that everything there is really healthy and good for you, especially when it tastes good as well.

I am obsessed with all things green juice related. Which is why I had to check out Juice Generation. I am known as a kale lover and the green juices at Juice Generation are amazing! Sure, they are expensive, but they are a great option for those who want fresh juice throughout the day. I highly recommend stopping in, even if you are new to juicing.
I will admit whenever I order the green juices I ask for them with apple. Hardcore green juicer.

I should probably eat more veggies and fruits but I don’t, so… I go to Juice Generation to get my fill because slurping on the juices is easier than chewing on the fruits themselves.
I have not tried everything on their menu but so far my favorites are the Daily Detox and Energy Kick (with agave added). The staff are usually friendly and helpful. They are a bit pricy, though. It costs me a day’s lunch just to get a regular sized smoothie from here. It’s a nice treat once in a while. My body probably needs it.

We came in 5 mins after they had closed, couldn’t order my favorite peanut butter açai bowl, but they were kind enough to give us free muffins. Delicious!

This is my go to spot in NYC. I love that this place has wheatgrass! Yay! I also love the acia bowls and the prepared vegan plates. Also the shots are great. The defender and le detox are my favorites. The staff here is awesome! Hopefully I will see this brand in other cities one day, although I do wish the apples were organic but all the fresh pressed juices are organic and most of the produce.
It’s a little crazy when your tab is $ 50+/day but it’s an investment towards good health so it’s worth it to me.

I grew up on the North Shore of Hawaii… Surfers paradise. Pipeline, Waimea Bay, Log Cabins, Rocky Point, etc. This is where the modern açaí bowl was born and where the humble superfood concoction was first brought by Brazilian surfers to America. I distinctly remember the first açaí bowl spot in Pupukea near Waimea Bay… It was probably 15 – 20 years ago.
I established some background here because I wanted people to know that Juice Generation serves, in my opinion, the best açaí bowl in New York city.

I have been eyeballing juice generation after trying out a smoothie at liquiteria and an acai bowl at Two Hands. After I saw pictures online of the acai bowls, I had to come here and try one to feel healthy.
I got the aloha acai bowl topped with big chunks of fresh fruit. I loved the puffed rice which gave a nice crunch to the bitter acai taste. The acai bowl was $ 10.45 and almost came to $ 12 after tax. I thought $ 10.50 was a fair price for the portion but $ 12 was a little too much. Regardless of price, the acai bowl was delicious and super filling.
This location is really nice and small, there are a few high seats to eat or drink your smoothie and go. Also the location is right in the middle of the residential part of the West Village on W 4^th, perfect for people watching.
Juice Generation didn’t really kick it out of the park for me but there are other things on the menu that I would come back for like the «I heart Watermelon Smoothie» and the «Pina Kalada» in a coconut.

I love the juices and smoothies at juice generation. They are always good and the same no matter what location you go to. My favorites are the Almond Joy with kale and the Peanut Butter split.

First stop in NYC, yesssssss! I wasn’t even sure if this was the best place for juices, but I soon found out, this was perfection in a coconut shell. I was feeling dehydrated and this little beauty hydrated me up real good! It’s on the pricier side $ 6-​$ 10. Oh man, but you do get what you pay for. I instantaneously felt rejuvenated. Too bad I was so jet-​lagged, nothing could repair the crankiness I felt from the inability to sleep since we couldn’t check in until 1pm and we had 3 hours to go. Thanks to the juice man who made my drink and gave me the remains to my drink that didn’t fit in the bowl. My sister thoroughly drank it and tried to steal it several times. Juice Generation you made my stop in NYC a memorable and satiating first stop. Much love!

If you’ve ever juiced your own green juice with kale, spinach and any variety of fruits, you would find that 16 oz of kale requires a LOT of kale to produce. After trying on my own, I would happily pay the $ 8 or $ 9 for one from JG.
All of the JG locations tend to be small, but this one is especially tiny. What I love about it is its proximity to MPHC Climbing gym for a much-​needed post climb protein boost, and the fact that the staff has always been super friendly.
I really love their Kale Kolada (sometimes served in a coconut shell!) and Joyful Almond. I like getting the Joyful Almond without agave. Any shake with bananas or other fruit in it is always sweet enough for me without agave needed.
While I love the taste of the Coco Acai shake, I really cannot justify 50g of sugar!
I stay away from the Acai bowls for the same reason, although if you’re looking to try one, Aloha Acai and Amazing Green bowls are slightly lower in sugar than the others.
I love this place still, it’s high-​quality and super convenient to come fuel up on a relatively healthy snack or a meal replacement if you go for a smoothie — just pay attention to the sugar as they vary enormously.

Very expensive juice bar in the city. Got a small size Fresh Juice Tropical Lust and it came out to a bit more than $ 7. I enjoyed my juice but I think there are better priced and comparable quality juice bars in the city.

Love this juice/​smoothie spot! Prices aren’t bad (think $ 6-​$ 10) and they offer 2 different sizes, 12 and 20 oz. They have a great menu of protein and fruit smoothies as well as really great juice combo’s. They even have mini coconuts in which they cut open and blend the meat and milk into the most delicious smoothie ever served in the coconut shell.
Looking for a real lunch and not just liquid? They have acai bowls and some gluten free baked goods.
Very clean, bright, definitely a great spot for a healthy pick-​me-​up.

This is like the new generation of Jamba Juice. I believe New York was one of the cities that started the whole green juice trend. and Juice Generation is up there with the top juice bars.
I was a fan of everything I ordered — supa dupa greens (of course), daily detox, and even the amazing green acai bowl! The last one was a pretty intimidating dark green color with a goopy texture, but it actually tasted really good.
Each time I’ve been to this location, the line hasn’t been very long, and the service has been very efficient.
They’re also very understanding of new customers and explain all their menu items really well; they aren’t snooty expecting that you know how everything works.
FYI — the pressed juices bottled in the fridge include fiber, but the juices made to order do not include the fiber.
