What?! this place closed? I don’t believe it. There was a time when my ritual was to come to Krunch at 2am after a long night of drinking and dancing. Oh well. This is what it was like. Thin crust pizza, many different kinds. I like the mac n cheese, chorizo, buffalo… couldn’t really friend and I easily got 8 slices and ate them all. The seating area was very small but the turnover was fast. RIP

Customer service is amazing. Kind of pricey. I wanted to try all the veggie pizzas but vegan so they let me customize a pie! Check out the pic I uploaded and they gave me a discount! Pretty amazing. Taste was nothing fab. Great for a healthy snack b/c it’s not oily and it has a slight crunch.

Whaaaat. This place was a mad house on St. Patty’s Day. But they still had their shit together and kept the line moving while serving delicious pizza. My friends will NOT stop talking about their Mac & Cheese pizza. Like nonstop. St. Patty’s was 4 days ago, and they keep raving about it. I’m not a big fan of mac & cheese in general but I thought it was decent. Super greasy though. The Buffalo Chicken pizza on the other hand was slammmmin’. Super thin, crispy crust, not greasy and had a good amount of heat from the buffalo from it. Wanna go back to try the other kinds!

Late at night I was thrilled to see a Macaroni and Cheese pizza, and I must have told every person in the restaurant that I was going to order it. Sadly, it was not what I had dreamt of. It was mostly macaroni, not so much cheese, and we all know how that turns out(disappointing). I did try the margherita pizza, though, and it was amazing. It had the perfect balance of cheese, tomato, and basil. I kind of wish I had ordered that. Solid place, but don’t be fooled by the mac and cheese slice. It will tempt you, but you must resist. You must. Unless you carry extra cheese with you…

We went here for lunch yesterday and loved it. I was surprised the pizza was really good because every time we walk past it’s really quiet. We know that they are planning to sell(don’t think they’ve found a buyer yet) so business mustn’t be good. That doesn’t mean you shouldn’t try it because like I said the pizza is REALLY good and cheap at around $ 3.50 a slice. Between two of us we ordered four slices, Grandmama, Pepperoni Krunch, Krunch Buffalo Chicken and the Brooklyn. The ‘k’rust was perfect. It really lives up to its name as it wasn’t too thin(as some are) and it was really ‘k’runchy! The toppings were tasty, a little salty,(but which pizza isn’t) and very flavorful. I would say the Grandmama and Brooklyn rivals Artichoke’s Margherita. I think they might even be better. I know, I shouldn’t be saying this as I’m a big Artichoke fan. oopsies… oh well, it’s the truth. hehe And what makes it even better is that they reheat it in a wood-fire oven so it comes out piping hot with the wood-fire aroma. Imagine taking a bite of it, it’s burning your mouth and you’re oohing and ahhing but you don’t care because nothing beats a hot slice of pizza. Cold pizzas(unless I’m really desperate and don’t have a microwave) doesn’t cut it for me. Anyway I recommend you try it before it closes. It’s such a shame because I’ve finally found a good pizza joint in my area(don’t have to go to those crappy NY pizza joints or Dominos anymore) and they’re going to sell. I hope the new owner takes over the business and doesn’t turn it into something else. FIngers crossed!

I passed by them on Seamlessweb for months before giving into it on a super hungover, didn’t care about a thing day. I’m glad I tried them once! I’ll agree that they are the perfect stumbling-around-drunk/hungover spot! The pizza isn’t the best. But it’s quite filling and there are tons of options for toppings! The pizza was cold by the time they delivered it to me. But it did heat up nicely. It’s like a less good but cheaper by the slice Ray’s.

The pizza at Krunch definitely have a crunch to them. I was in the mood for some pizza and since Krunch is so close to my apt, I decided to give them a try. Ordered a slice of Mushroom and Margherita. They were about $ 3 each. The pizza squares are super crunchy, which I enjoyed. The rest of the pizza didn’t blow me away. The sauce, mushrooms, and cheese didn’t have much flavor. I had to sprinkle loads of garlic powder, onion powder, and crushed red pepper on my pizza to enjoy it a bit more. The employees here are nice. The kind gentleman was helpful and quick. I appreciate that Krunch is open till 2 am on Thursdays.

I came here after a visit to Turtle Bay which is located right across the street. The price was like $ 3.50 or $ 3.00 for a slice but I don’t really remember to be honest. It’s on a very crunchy thin crust and the toppings were pretty good. If you don’t like the floppy NY style pizza this would be a very good alternative.

Crunchy… Check Cheesy…Check Delicious…Check What else do you need to know about a pizza place? In a city full of pizza stops, Krunch has found their niche. Good tasting pizza with a superior crunchy body and crust. Oh yeah, the restaurant is modern and sleek looking. Check it out if you are in the neighborhood.

I’m glad I tried it, but I’m not going to eat here again. The pizza was OK, but for all of the pizza selections in NY, this really just can’t be a more than once a month thing. I came here avoiding Turtle Bay; my friends were in that godforsaken place for a happy hour. Horrible place. Anyway, this place was good for what it was. BBQ chicken slice, something with prosciutto, and some sausage piece… they were big, I was hungry, I ate everything, and I left satisfied. I think I had a bad taste in my mouth because the three valley girls sitting the table over from me were just inflating each other’s egos very loudly. Three stars because it was innovative, but the quality wasn’t the top of the top that you expect from NY pizza.

I’m still a tourist in New York. I thought that the best pizza came from New York. «Ray’s Original Pizza,» «Famous Ray’s Pizza,» «World-Famous Original Ray’s Pizza,», etc, whatever, I’ve always enjoyed a proud slice of peperoni in The Big Apple. A no-name X-Ray pizza slice eaten in Times Square is still the best I ever had. Even in Cali, I have to let New Yorker’s brag and belittle about West Coast pizzas. Krunch, please tell me you’re not founded or owned by a New Yorker. Pick any airport and the bar pizza there Krushes Krunch. A cheese topping that after one bite has completely separated from the saltine cracker crust. Spicy mystery meat? And then there are the various iterations of topping and sauce that make California Pizza Kitchen proud! Two square slices and a can of Diet Coke is $ 11. Even without a coupon, I can get a large one topping from Round Table for $ 10. For O-Town folk, can we say«Zachery’s?» Unlike«Ray’s Original Pizza,» «Famous Ray’s Pizza,» «World-Famous Original Ray’s Pizza,» nobody is gonna steal the name Krunch.

I’m not a huge thin crust pizza fan, but Krunch’s slices are pretty tasty and they have creative toppings — particularly the vodka sauce and mac and cheese. Carb on carb. Gotta love it. Great spot to stop in for a quick snack after you’ve had a few drinks. Slices are about $ 4 each.

I’d give this place a 2.5 star if they had that rather than the 3. 2 stars is so ambiguous, I mean I have had better but I also have had much worse. That about sums it up, the storefront is adorned nicely and the pizza is just OK. There’s lot of places that do a much much better square D.O.C. pizza like L’Asso downtown near Lombardi’s.

I came here since it was the nearest place open from Turtle Bay. The slices are a bit high for the amount you get($ 3 – 4 for a smaller than your average NYC slice). I can not remember 2 of the 4 slices I had ordered because I was buzzed at the time and just took photos of everything(see 15 photos). The two that I do remember are the ‘Grandma’(which the server had highly recommended) and the ‘Margarita’. I was disappointed that the pizzas were on the cold side, even after being thrown in the fire. As the name implies, the pizzas do have a crunch to them but there wasn’t much taste. Lisa K. could not have said it better, «krunchy krunchy, but not tasty tasty.»

I rarely give 1-star reviews, but Krunch deserved it. Terrible pizza. It tasted EXACTLY like Ellio’s frozen pizza, exact. Tiny, thin slices are not worth the $ 2.75 each. Stay away from this deceiving little joint.

Everything said in previous reviews I read is 100% true. Just know Krunch doesn’t really offer ‘new york’ style pizza. It’s a lot crispier and crunchier. Plus the variety of pizzas and toppings they have is awesome. After having more or less the same ‘new york’ style pizza from everywhere in the city, I like coming here on occasion and mixing it up and getting some wacky shit. Wish the inside was a bit bigger thats about it. Awesome place on a late night weekend when your all sloppy and starving, this place is god sent!

I’ve always wanted to try it. Finally made the plunge. What do I say? Y-U-M. I will be B-A-C-K! I was able to eat here for $ 7. $ 7 and being full for a non-chain-fast-food spot in Manhattan isn’t half bad, IMHO. I was unsure what to expect after reading other complaints on the portion size. Um, I was totally fine. I got two slices — one was the whole wheat with tomato, mozarella, yellow squash, zucchini, asparagus, and leeks. This one was ok, not my fave though. The whole wheat was pretty prominent. I *loved* the zuccha, which had zucchini, onions, garlic, pecorino, and parmiggiano. It was super tasty — even moreso with the addition of the red pepper flakes. Mmmmm. I WOULDHAVE tried the«Nutella Krunch»(hazelnut spread, white chocolate flakes, and crushed pistachios) if I’d known the king cake at the event we attended following dinner was going to be a no-show, but that’s a separate story. Overall, is it your standard NYC pizza joint? No. Is it promoted to be? NO! I liked it for something different. An easy place to grab a slice that’s out of the ordinary. Good stuff. Liked it a lot.
