Great view of Central Park and the lake. It’s ideal to watch turtles or ducks and even the sunset. Great place to do a picnic or even quick to go lunch.

This little gem of a spot was not so easy to find, but once you know where it is its a piece of cake. My fiancé and I were wondering around Central Park looking for a place to hold our intimate wedding ceremony in Sept. We had looked at a few spots throughout the park, but none of them spoke to me… Until we stumbled upon this. It is absolutely gorgeous, secluded, and perfect for a small ceremony. We are so excited its not even funny. Our wedding is over a holiday weekend, so I’ll update after we see how crowded it is for our ceremony. Hopefully not too bad!

Tucked away in the Hernshed section of the Great Lawn is my favorite spot in Central Park. A skinny grooved pathway amidst the trees takes you to a Victorian wrought iron edifice beautifully cast in filigree detail.
This is the Ladies’ Pavilion.
It’s a perfect spot to get some shade and if you’re ever caught in a rainstorm in the park, this is where to go to ride out the elements. Come, sit, and enjoy the lakeside view.
