This is the best L’occitane location I have been to! I was looking for a Mother’s Day gift and the manager here was so helpful in helping me find the perfect product. She wasn’t pushy in any way and genuinely wanted to help. When she rung me up she sprayed the tissue paper with a lovely perfume and threw in a TON of samples for things I had wanted to try. I have been to other locations but none with this level of service! Avoid the Columbus circle location – they are EXTREMELY pushy.

Amazing customer service, best I experienced in a while! I came into the store following a promotion that friends told me about. After getting the promotional products, the sales girls let me explore the store and with much excitement told me about the products. They didn’t pressure me into getting anything and were genuinely excited about the different products and promotions. I picked three items as gifts for family. The sales girls rang them up, wrapped them in different color paper with different stickers so I could tell which scent was where and gave me a few samples and gifts that came with the purchase. One of the girls even sprayed my shopping bag with her favorite scent for an extra touch and I smelled it as I walks back to work… I felt good about the store and the products. The main reason I decided to write this review was that I went to another store for the same brand in a nearby location on the same day and had bad service. The staff in the other location made me feel uncomfortable and judged. It’s amazing that two locations of the same brand could be so different in service!!! If you love the brand, spend time in midtown and want to be treated well — go to this location! Happy shopping!

The associates here are so helpful and friendly! They weren’t pushy at all either, so I actually felt compelled to buy more, which is a testament to their sales talent. They even spritzed my choice of fragrance onto tissue paper before wrapping my item with it. Nice!

I think I’ll stick to the SoHo and Flatiron locations. People there have more respect for their clients than this location. I purchased a $ 42 face cream for my sister 7 days ago which came with a free pocket sized hand lotion. When I brought it home, I find out that I bought the wrong face cream but the hand lotion worked out. We NEVER opened the package of the face cream. Not even to give it a try or even to look at it. Then a few days later, when I had some time, I bring the item back to return. And the girl at the register gives me a HUGE issue with the return. Let me note that when I purchased the item, I was given a free gift with the purchase. Might I repeat, GIVEN. I did not ask for it. It was given to me for signing up for their mailing list. The free gift was one of their really popular pocket sized lotions that’s worth $ 12. With that said, i enter this tiny store and am greeted nicely which earned them a star along with the great presentation of their shop +1 more star. And I think I’m being generous here. But that’s where it all ends. As soon as I raise the topic of a return, all smiles and niceness turn into frowns and dry attitudes. First off, I have my receipt and the item is in its original packaging and bag even. The girl, at the register, wearing large black frames and a short pixy cut, looks at my receipt. And automatically says I can’t return it without my free gift present. I ask her why. She says I need to return the free gift along with the face cream that I purchased because I was offered this free gift if I purchased over a certain amount. But no I was told previously that I received this free gift because i signed up for their mailing list. So either I was misinformed or this girl is an idiot. A few minutes go by and I am livid. She goes on and continues to tell me to go home get my free gift that must be unopened in order for her to proceed with my return. So I ask her to think about what she said because it sounded pretty ridiculous. She wanted me to travel back to my home in queens for 45 minutes to get my free gift and travel back to the city for another 45 minutes while wasting 2 subway fares? No honey. I was tired of going back and forth and offered to pay for the free gift I was given — and she says she can’t. Why? Why can’t you just figure out a way to offer excellent customer service and make a customer happy? I work in retail as well so I know there are ways around these things. There is ALWAYS a way to make things right without arguing with a customer and without making a customer upset. And on top of that her partner in crime next to her, who was NOHELP, MINDYOU, accuses me of opening the product I brought back and using it. Oh My Goodness. Are you kidding me. I have better things to do then to come into your store, lie and fight with you. There is a possibility that I picked one up that ws tampered with. Ever think of that? Shit happens. In the end I get my refund but not my whole refund. And I leave f**kin pissed. They’re so lucky their manager left when I got there. But they will be hearing from me one of these days. I will be calling corporate. I am never going back to this location ever again. Not even sure I wanna shop at this company anymore. Anyways, sorry for the long post but thanks for reading! Cheers ~

Nice store — exactly what you’d expect from a L’occitane. However, the staff are a little snobby and really don’t care to help you. I was in there for quite awhile trying to put together my own gift set and no one once asked me if I needed help. I guess it goes without saying that this type of store would have those kinds of employees who will only help you if you’re walking around with a $ 1K purse and dressed to impress.

I’ve always passed by L’Occitanes but never went in one. So one day, I decided to take a peep since their products are all natural. The employee, Elizabeth, gave me a tour of the store explaining EVERY product, scent, and line after finding out it was my first time there. L’Occitane museum! I bought the shea butter body scrub. Nothing has ever fixed my sahara dry skin but after the first use, I noticed that all the flakey dry skin’s gone! Miracles. Also got a ton of samples and a nifty gift set with big travel-sized items that came in a cute pouch(around 5 products including 2 body washes, a shampoo, 2 facial products) and a bar of soap for only $ 18. Only gripe is that the soothing shampoo which had marvelous reviews online did the opposite of soothing my scalp and produced snowy dandruff. Eww.
