Mac & Nadas

I just trashed $ 25 of the worst food I’ve ever had delivered (and I have had Postmates deliver Taco Bell to me when I had the most horrific hangover of all time). This was worse. WAY WORSE. Alas, that’s what I get for not reading reviews on seamless or on Unilocal before ordering. The place is called Mac & Nadas, so I assumed they would be creating next level Mac and Cheese & empanadas, especially given the general cost of real estate in the West Village. The food was next level alright… several levels below the standard of food I will voluntarily consume (remember: I ate Taco Bell in NYC). The empanada leaked grease through 2 paper bags. The Mac & cheese tasted like a more watery, less salty version of Kraft Mac & Cheese.
It’s shocking how bad this food was and I feel horrible trashing the food because there are people involved, they haven’t mistreated me, and I try to be a nice person, but seriously — is this what what happens when we give trophies to every little league team? When we tell every child they are excellent and exceptional instead of giving them something to strive for???
Or maybe it’s a money laundering operation or the vanity project of a trust fund kid/​child of an international oligarch… in which case, you do you. But if it’s not, please stop. We all deserve better than this!!!

Sorry Mac & Nadas but you need to change something. I ordered the spicy mac and cheese last night from seamless and it was terrible. It tasted like Kraft mac & cheese out the box with pepper jack and jalapenos thrown on top and melted. I expected a place focused on mac to use real pasta. If they do use real pasta they’re definitely not cooking it right. My meal just flat out didn’t taste good. I stopped eating half way through and ordered from Westville. Now their mac & cheese is on point.
