They have some realllly good macaron! Wasn’t expecting tooooo much from here but they were actually really good! I’m such a macaron addict and I make macarons myself all the time so I really can judge a good macaron SIGNSOF A GOODMACARON 1.the shell has to be chewy but crispy on the outside Macaron café’s shell was really chewy and soft but missing a little bit more of crispiness but still very good 2. She’ll must not be empty; lots of macarons look perfect but the shell is empty on the inside. This is a sign of a not properly good macaron probably something went wrong during the macaronage stage or overmixing One of the reasons why I rate macaron café so high is because their shells are not empty. I’ve been to lots of macaron places that are rated pretty high as well but the shell is empty. Macaron Café has full chewy shells 3. The filling has to be not too sweet and good consistency This is the reason why it’s one star off, because I didn’t like the filling. It was like squishy whipped cream that was a little too sweet. I’ve never had any macarons before with this type of filling. It was also too funny and melted all out All in all the macaron is good, but very expensive 2.75 $ as all macarons AMBIENCE: loved the ambience inside and the decorations. The café is very dark and has cozy vibe to it. It’s very cute too so definitely good for a small date. Check it out!

For $ 2.75 apiece, this store sure is stingy… I was buying 10 macarons as party favors and asked if I could get baggies for each of them. The lady told me that I would get charged separately for each macaron(as in, can’t get the bulk price 6 for $ 15, or 3 for $ 7.50). This lady had a totally different demeanor than another lady I had asked the day before, who was ready to hand me as many baggies as I needed and was very welcoming. In any case, I agreed to pay $ 2.75 for each macaron. I also asked if she could help me tie the nice Macaron Café ribbons to them since I am now paying full price for each. She said she would only tie the cheap balloon string, and that if I wanted the nicer ribbon I would have to tie them myself… So for $ 27.50, I was handed my macarons and a handful of ribbons. The macarons itself are good in my opinion. I’m not an expert, but I love sweets so I quite like these. I also love the chewy texture. My favorite flavor is definitely Pistachio, although its true they are so sweet that they all end up tasting the same… like sugar. I would strongly advise against getting the White Chocolate(the one with the aqua and white cookie), if you are transporting and/or gifting it to someone. The filling melted into a white buttery mess, and I was so embarrassed to give it to my guest that I ended up trading mine. The others seemed to hold up fine. For the steep price, I would say these are great for gifts or party favors. I just have to resist emptying my wallet on this, especially because I don’t want to support their stingy store policy.

I work across the street, so this could not be any more convenient. I have a ‘thing’ for almond milk lattes ONLY — not every coffee shop offers almond milk… After Intelligencia closed, I switched to Gregory’s, but then noticed Macaron lattes(50 cents cheaper!), and that’s been my morning routine since. Sad fact: My favorite barista Henry was transferred to their new location downtown, so I’m trying to love my ‘new’ lattes all over again. I’m always met by Carolina’s big smile behind the counter, and the rest of the staff is also super nice. Occasionally I treat myself to a macaroon — and they are the best — my kids say: best in the city.

If you like tangy macaron, get the passionfruit one, I like passionfruit anything so the macaron was perfect for me. I got a box of 12 with caramels, passion fruits, honey lavenders, pistachios, nutellas and raspberrys. They all were great except the honey lavender, I hated it! Really, like hated it! The place is at a good location and renting that sort of palacial place is out of my imagination in a city like new york. Staff was fine, you can order your macarons and coffee and chill at the seats until they bring it to you! 4 stars!!!

Had a little expedition across NYC for free macaron day! Because of this I could taste all the different macarons across the city. This was the worst. I had«pumpkin cinnamon» but it simply didn’t have any flavor. It could have been«sugary macaron» and I wouldn’t have questioned the naming. Also there is a step when you enter that they don’t notify you about.

Believe it or not, they have one of my favorite beacon/egg/cheese sandwiches in the city! Get it on baguette. Great coffee too. I usually go to the location on 59th and Madison.

I used to prefer this macaron place back then when it was a tiny little shop across from the TD bank on 7th avenue and 36th. I used to come here every Friday after I received my internship stipend check from the week– and buy 2 macarons for $ 5, with zero regrets. However, for some reason– every since they moved locations, I am not sure if the recipe has changed, or maybe the larger spacing creates these macarons to dry out quicker ? These macarons were always a little bit more on the chewy side, which I actually preferred, and they are bigger than your averages ones, so you get your money’s worth… but the consistency is just no longer well… consistent, so I will have to give in a 4⁄5. But! The flavors are truly one of a kind and to die for! Worth it for the more indecisive adventurer!

Pretty and tasty! I’m from Massachusetts and was excited to taste these. I purchased a box of 12 and picked 5 different favors. They have many flavors to pick from. The consistency of the filling for the vanilla and coconut macarons were amazing! Creamy and not too sweet. I always start with a vanilla Mac because that usually is safe and gives me a good idea on how the rest will be. But the jam-ish filling of the raspberry macarons was strange and I didn’t think it was a good flavor overall.

You don’t need to go to Paris to have a taste of French goodies! This is by far the best espresso you can get in NYC and their macarons and baguetes are excellent. The whole staff is French and they speak in French all the time. You’ll really feel you are in France :).

I love the breakfast baguette with bacon eggs and cheese. The coffee is pretty good as well as for the staff they are friendly. The morning rush could be a little crazy around 8:45am — 9:15am. Best time to walk in is around 10:30 am.

Beautiful presentation of Gift Sets but highly disappointed with the quality of macarons. I received an early Valentines Day delivery and the item was well packaged. BUT the macarons just were not good. They were big, chewy, with an overly thick layer of filling — Not light and decadent like a well executed macaron. Certain flavors were stale as well. I will continue to indulge at Laduree.

Very chewy macaron. Caramel with fleur de sil was OK. Cost 2.75 no tax for a pretty good size but of you are looking for a large albeit less good macaron, you might as well go to Paris café or something similar. The texture matter ls a lot and their ls is not right There are better places but the flavors are pretty unique. Nice sized place with clean bathrooms though. 2.5

I came with a few people from my meetup for some macarons. I got the 6 for $ 15 macaron gift box with included: Pistachio, Honey Lavender, Rose Lychee, Coconut, Caramel and Earl Grey. Here’s my list from most favorite to least favorite: Caramel Coconut Pistachio Earl Grey Honey Lavender Rose lychee The place itself has a decent amount of space but their salads didn’t look appetizing – but then again, people come for the macarons, not the salad. The cashier was friendly; she said that the most popular macarons are at the top. The credit card machine was down which was slightly annoying because I wanted to use my cash for a cash only place, oh well. The macarons held up well in the fridge(they can last up to five days in the fridge). My bf tried the rose lychee and the honey lavender and really like the rose lychee. I’m not a macaron expert as I’ve only had it one other time but I’d try this place again.

Macarons are one of those things that look gorgeous but taste incredibly sweet. Emphasis on the sweetness. They have this soft chewy shell with a smooth, light cream. I decided to buy the vanilla one(which I remembered was delicious) and two new flavors, Earl Grey and Honey Lavender. Two words: Delicious. Macarons. They are better than what I remember at least. Not overly sweet(as I tried other places), and the texture was great. The Honey Lavender, however cracked easily. The only thing is they are quite pricey. 3 for 7.50. I repeat, 3 for 7.50. Macarons are relatively small, but they cost quite a mint. Worth it? I like it. So I recommend.

I enjoy the macaron offerings at macaron café. They’re chewy and the cream is creamy and the matcha is particularly authentic tasting(strong green tea flavor). I didn’t particularly care for the food choices but I only tried a kale salad one day. This particular café is spacious more so than the others I noticed with the counter very far away from the seats. It seems like a nice place to grab lunch if perhaps their other offerings are more tasty. For now I will stick to the macarons which are in fact tasty and true to their flavor unlike some which just taste like sugar.

One of the well known and popular Macaron shop in NYC. I like the fact that there are several locations, and the macaron size is bigger than most other places. Their macarons are naturally gluten free, Kosher certified, and hand-made in NYC. I really like the mural of NYC on the wall, it is really cool. There is a small seating area towards the front of the shop, so you can enjoy the macaron right there. The macaron are sweet and a bit chewy, rich and moist. I really tried to like this place because I absolutely love macarons and it can be a pain to venture out downtown or to the east side for Laduree(which without a doubt are the best macarons you can get in the city), but I absolutely could not even pretend like these even came close in comparison The reason is plain and simple: their filling is awful. It’s soft, buttery/greasy(?), WAXY and just totally not what macaron filling is supposed to be. When you bite into it, the filling oozes out and the whole macaron does not stay intact. The interior of the shop is not very friendly and welcoming either– not very well furnished and just doesn’t have a very warm atmosphere. This all could have been forgiven if the macarons were half decent. I will give some credit for the attractive presentation of the macarons and their unique and creative flavor combinations. Packaging is nicely done as well, which is good for giving gifts.

Macaron Marathon 2015 Mile 7: Macaron Café Macaron Day! Hoping to score a free macaron on this most celebrated of holidays, I made this stop three on my macaron marathon. Apparently my pace wasn’t fast enough, likely due to my consumption of macarons, because they were all out of the free ones. But I made it that far so I just ordered some anyway! Nutella. Crème Brulee. Cassis. Espresso. Decisions not made easily with tempting options like honey lavender(next time!), chestnut, and orange blossom. The cashier recommended the espresso and she definitely knew what she was talking about because it was the best one. *Nutella– lacking the tell-tale hazelnut undertones of true Nutella. A good choice if you just like chocolate *Crème Brulee– tasted more like vanilla, but I’ve come to accept that you can’t quite capture the caramelized sugar meets creamy decadence of crème brûlée in any other form except custard *Cassis– a worthy contender. Solid blackcurrant flavor and light crumb *Espresso– every once in a while you happen upon that one macaron that has all of the elements: a tender yet chewy shell, creamy interior, and balance of flavor. At Macaron Café, it is espresso. Coffee lover or not, you should get it. I may not double back to this spot with so many macarons to try, but it has plenty of locations around the city that are worth a drop by.

I won’t bore you with a long review… I’ve eaten macarons everywhere! And I mean everywhere… Even in France and Switzerland! I have definitely had them all over NYC including Ladurèe which I wasn’t all that impressed with. These are hands down my absolute favorite! Why??? Because they’ve got the cookie and filling part down pact! I like my macarons chewy… And these have the perfect bite and chew. As for the fillings they are always so tasty and creamy I wanna just eat it like an Oreo. I can continue to rant on and on about how good these are and how they make my mouth orgasm… But what’s the point? JUSTGETTHEREANDPARTAKE in these delicious little pastries! Thank me after your mouth orgasms too!
