Cute hole in the wall restaurant. Service is quick and food is all fresh. I have the Alaska sushi and it was very good.

This place is pretty much what everyone says about it — really solid/decent food for a good price in this area. I got the chicken katsu which was… good. Everything is just really standard, but sometimes that’s exactly what you want. If I lived nearby, this would be a go-to comfort place for me. The restaurant itself is very warm and cozy, great for a first or second casual date or a night with a few friends. This also strikes me as a place that would be great to eat alone in. The dinner combos are all around $ 10 which is hard to beat in the area. Good service. Overall, a good place to know about. Didn’t get real sushi so I can’t speak to that but the shumai and california roll that came with the dinner plate was also… solid.

Nice cozy place, the food and the service were good. Considering the location and the quality, it was very cheap

This small«hole-in-the wall» seats around 14 people; we were lucky enough to be seated while another party of 6, which had been waiting, was asked to wait another 25 minutes for seats to open. Ordered the sushi for two and agedashi tofu, which arrived within 15 minutes. Sushi was great and tasted fresh. Agedashi tofu had a thicker coating compared to that of other restaurants, but was still very good. This place is just by the border of little Italy; we finished the night by walking one block to an Italian bakery where we had cannoli.

I don’t think this place is good when it comes to their sushi and bento box. In most places when you order a bento box, it would come with a soup and California rolls comes with it, but it wasn’t the case with this place. Which was a disappointment. I ordered a American Dream roll taste alright but I gotta say there’s barely any rice. And you get charge for a cup of tea-.-… Would not be coming back

Honestly, I really like this place and order from here a lot. It’s not the best sushi you’ll ever eat but I think its good and consistent. They never mess up my order, the delivery guy is super nice, and it always gets here quick on time. I get generic rolls like spicy tuna and spicy salmon but I really enjoy them.

Fresh sushi, fast and reasonably priced. Great spot in the neighborhood when you want something quick with no frills. Also a great place for take out. $ 12 minimum to use a card. We had the tuna tataki and tuna sushi, tuna shashimi and spicy tuna rolls(I only like tuna– I’m working on this!) and it all was fresh. They have sake and beer(Sapporo is $ 3.50) which makes for a great pre game dinner to going out if you’re not looking to spend a lot of $$. Overall a solid neighborhood sushi join

Decent sushi that’s what it is. You can’t go wrong but it is also not the best. However it is very affordable and you get a lot for what you pay for. The sushi is not great and the fish is actually not that fresh at all. The service is nice though

An OK place to get sushi when you’re in a rush. I came here on my lunch break, Mikaku Sushi is literally a hole in the wall but it’s adorable. The cashier was a really sweet and friendly. I ordered a Philadelphia Roll and a Spicy Tuna Roll. The Philly roll was average, you can’t really mess that up. But the spicy tuna roll tasted a little off, kinda like there were anchovies in it, which I really didn’t like. If I’m in a hurry I’d definitely stop in again, would certainly steer clear of Spicy Tuna roll though.

Had to grab a quick dinner and head back to work and came across this great blink-and-miss-it Japanese spot. The soba with tempura shrimp, chicken and egg was slurptastic. Get it? SLURPtastic… how am I single? Anyhoo, the broth was balanced, the noodles al dente and the proteins tasty. The egg yolk was touch over cooked(but not chalky), however for ten bucks I’m not expecting sous vide. Also had the sashimi deluxe. The thick slices of fish were fresh, especially the(holy!) mackerel. Service was quick and I was able to get in and out with a colleague and right back to work. He got the teriyaki bento and I kept on waiting for him to look away so I could sneak a bite but he voraciously wolfed it down. I recommend this spot!

Got take out — they have a special combo where you order a meat(eg salmon teriyaki, which I got) and it comes with rice, some veggies, salad, sushi and miso soup fkr about $ 10. Seemed too good to be true but I was starving after gym. Food was prepared quickly, but unfortunately it was a little too good to be true. Veggies were dry and comprised of a broccoli stem and a dried up carrot cut out in those weird necessary shapes you often see in Asian restaurants. The teriyaki sauce came separately from the salmon and was very thick; the sushi was dry. I liked the miso soup though!

If you want to spend less than 20 $ in food around this area, you have to come to this place! The food is great, the service is pretty good too. Prices are the best part!

Good food and normally a good service experience. If you can help it I wouldn’t sit in the two window seats, because they’ll forget about your for a good long time while they take care of their larger tables. Otherwise the bento menu is wonderful. Staff is polite and business-like. Good lunch spot.

1) SLOW service 2) Don’t eat all you can eat from here, 30 minute to get 10 pieces of sushi 3)UNSANITARY. The sushi cook sneezes didn’t wash his hand, and change to new glove and continue to make sushi(nasty). 4) Never coming again.

Definitely a fan! It’s really hard to find cheap sushi that also has decent quality in the Lower East Side. Mikaku really does the job! i am a super lazy person and love to order Seamless. The Mikaku delivery always arrives on time and the deliveryman is very friendly. The sushi doesn’t have much rice in it, which I appreciate. The salmon is very fresh, and their salmon avocado roll is absolutely delicious.

Just take a combo! You’ll love it!!! Katsu don(donburi) was amazing, too.!! It is a cozy place. Very good for small groups. You can actually see the chef preparing your food in real time!
