I like this place. Really good for breakfast. It’s kosher. Even though it’s in the city the staff here is really friendly and they give you all the time to explain the manu. Not a lot place to sit, but if you order and wait someone will always finish eating and give you the table. The food is really good. Seems like they are open here for a long time and really know their stuff. If you eat kosher and what to have quick and not expansive breakfast here is your place.

I came across Milk ‘N Honey for catering through the AJC and I now use them for corporate catering as well. Whether you want your event to be Kosher or not, M’NH uses the fresh ingredients and their service is top notch. I recently asked them to be at my office by 7:45am for a very important breakfast and they were on time. The delivery person was very proficient and the display of items was plentiful and beautiful. Being in the corporate finance world and having 20+ years of event breakfasts and lunches in the office, I highly recommend them.

Pros: At 7:45 am on a Tuesday, it wasn’t crowded. Plenty of seating. Cons: Average bagel, much like one I could have gotten cheaper from a coffee cart. Also, the tiny bit of cream cheese on it was really disappointing. I expected way more for $ 3.50.

$ 3.81 for a magherita slice that wasn’t a magherita slice… that’s too expensive for a regular cheese slice. Crowded and dirty… Dn t recommend unless its the closest jewish place you can find…

They were busy and it took a little longer than I expected to get my egg and cheese on a bagel. I think it had been done for a while and it took them a a few minutes to figure out that the sandwich was ready to be given to me. The prices for a full breakfast(eggs, potatoes, and bread) seem to be vary good. I saw prices from $ 3 to $ 6 dollars for that type of breakfast. That seems pretty unbeatable for midtown. They did NOT have any bacon to offer for my sandwich. That might be because its a Jewish Deli. but i’m not sure. So, if you are looking for bacon with your breakfast you might want to look elsewhere. Overall, my experience was decent. Food, atmosphere.

First stop in NYC, breakfast sandwich ordered. Was ready quickly and the staff was very nice. It was 7am so it was empty.

Pretty good bagels but not off the charts. Had a limited selection when we got there despite not being too busy. Coffee is pretty generic and prices aren’t too cheap but appropriate for the area.

$ 36 for two coffees and 2 bagel lox. For this price I would expect to get a clean floor.

Pretty average bagel/breakfast place. I would give the food I had 4 stars and the overall experience 2 stars. The restaurant is clean and there is plenty of seating, but there is no real organization around how to order and where the line begins. There are just random people taking orders which made it a little bit frustrating. There were also no signs on any of the bagels so you couldn’t really tell what anything was. The cream cheese was listed so I took a shot at a standard cinnamon raisin, which they had. I’m a fan of the sweet and savory breakfast so I decided to get the cinnamon raisin bagel with scallion cream cheese because it was similar to the chive spread that I like. When I ordered it, the guy behind the counter made a disgusted face at me! He even went so far to say, «that doesn’t sound very good». I don’t know about you, but I don’t need people judging my food choices because you’re not even the one eating it! So make my bagel and let me decide what it tastes like. Anyway, he put me in a bad mood but the actual bagel was soft and very delicious — just in case that rude man was wondering how my gross sounding order tasted! I wouldn’t go back to this spot because there are plenty of bagel places in NYC. This was just convenient at the time.

Yes! I am a person who enjoys a morning breakfast bagel w/cream cheese. This was the only above-your-basic-deli bagel in this immediate area. The bagels are expensive, yes, but the service was so bad(even for a regular) that I started getting mad at myself for putting up with SUCHBADSERVICE that I vowed to never return — I had more dignity than that lol. The call of the bagel returned and I am sad to say that the bagels are still expensive and the foreign tourist somehow flock to this place and TAKEFOREVERTOORDER. HOWEVER I am happy to report that the customer service is dramatically better and they manage to get me my order quickly now even despite the slow tourists. I no longer have self inflicted bagel shame. Thanks!

I went back in recently, and even during the lunch rush, things seemed to be so much better. Quick service, and the food was good. It looks like they’re really making an effort to improve. Good work, MnH!

Bagel was good texture and flavor. Pretty presentation. I most just like it cause it looked swirly :) Fruit was fresh and good. Not sure what the lower reviews are for. I though it was good. But we did have it catered in so I didn’t go into store.

Really enjoyed the panini – we had the eggplant parmesan one and the«Delightful»(spinach, sun-dried tomato spread, tomato, basil, mozzarella). Potato knish needed more salt and more onion flavor – kind of bland. Bagel was good. Sushi was good. Happy to find this place! Ate here in the morning, then came back to get food to take to the airport.

I’m glad I gave this place another try. The service is much improved. Wait time for ordering and getting my food was just a few minutes. The cashier was very pleasant. I would definitely go back. This might become my regular place for lunch.

I’m vegan so finding a hearty lunch is sometimes harder than you think. I looked at the menu online and saw they offered vegan cream cheese for bagels so I thought, «what the heck?» I’ll try it. It was cold that day and I decided to head to the back. Right away I found 2 sides for $ 9 and lots of veggies. I had the sweet potatoes and the grilled veggies. The total came to $ 10 and it weighed about 5 lbs. Totally worth it. There’s a vegan deli just down 45th and you’ll get half the food for twice the price. I recommend Milk N Honey. I know I’ll be back.

I’ve ordered catering and the platters arrived late as the meeting was starting. I have also ordered lunches and I’ve had to call three times and wait over 2 hours to get the order. Definitely NOT good for those who are time conscious.

The reviews here are hilarious because you think, «no way could the service be that bad.» Well… it is. I came here just before 11am. No one else was in line, although the guys to the left of the counter were busy compiling delivery orders. I walked up to the cashier and asked for an everything bagel with sun dried tomato cream cheese and he just kept staring at me like I was an idiot… for a good 15 – 20 seconds. Then he turned to another guy and said«I need some help here» and asked me to repeat my order to someone else. Apparently, the extraordinarily rude cashiers who work here refuse to do anything but take your money once your order is made. It’s too complicated for them to do anything else. Like other Unilocalers said… no clear signage and total chaos in the store even when they aren’t busy plus terrible attitudes leads to absolutely horrendous service. The bagel was pretty good, which is the only reason they don’t get a 1 star.

Top notch — truly. We went in for breakfast this morning — saw that it was too crowded, and then left to find emptier options. the owner came out in the street, and ran after us(½ block), letting us know he’d be happy to make room for us(remember, it was packed!). We went back, and the five of us sat down and had a great breakfast. My Lox Sandwich was good — but what will have us coming back is his focus on making us feel at home.
