Marlen is the absolute best! She is so sweet and has amazing skills for blonde highlights. You want a natural looking blonde and looks fabulous — go to her.

This is an amazing neighborhood salon BUT it should be on Madison Avenue. I kept walking by, as it’s literally around the corner where I live. I got an appointment with Omar, who is darling, and a true consummate professional. Not only does he do incredible highlights he is a true genius with his shears. How can you beat a stylist that does EVERYTHING and is truly truly talented.
Get an appointment as he’s hard to book. Thrilled to have found him!!!

The salon is great! Had highlights with Marlen this morning and I am so satisfied. She really knows what she is doing. Took about 2.5 hours for half a head because my hair is quite thick but I am for sure going back. She took her time and really listened to what I wanted but also gave her input on what she thought would be best. Really pleased with the results and will be going back to Marlen next time I am in need of some fresh new highlights!

Marlen is a great blond colorist. This isn’t a salon that will dunk your head in a single process of bleach for an immediate platinum, they’ll take their time and do it right in order to not fry your hair.
I can’t give 5 stars because I came into the salon on a saturday for my 12:00 appt (which I had called to confirm the day before) only to find that the colorist I booked somehow didn’t have me in his books, and couldn’t do my hair. I’m not sure how this happened but talk about a miscommunication…
I was beyond displeased and considered walking out and never coming back.
In comes Marlen, another colorist/​stylist at the salon. She was very nice and apologetic and offered to try and squeeze me in her schedule. I didn’t want my appt to be «squeezed in» so she offered to open up the salon just for me on Sunday.
I went back in the next day, had the salon to myself and Marlen took her sweet time with my hair, perfecting every strand. I’m very happy with it and she definitely salvaged this potentially sour experience caused by her colleague.

Marlen has been my colorist for the past year and I would never trust anyone else. She excels not only with the technicality of highlighting/​lowlighting but as a natural artist with a flair for what works on each individual. Charismatic and passionate about her work, it has been an honor getting to know Marlen and I am forever thankful that she has brought my blonde ambition to life!

Simply THE BEST!!! Salon is beautiful and Marlen is the most amazing colorist in the world — she’s pure delight, so artistic and passionate, sweet and so much fun! I consistently get tons of compliments on my hair and I couldn’t be happier that I found such a wonderful human being and an exceptional colorist.

This salon is great – chill atmosphere, sweet people, relaxing vibe. I’ve been to a lot of salons in the city, especially the upper east side and this one is the best, by far.
Marlen is one of the most creative, passionate, talented women I know. She is exceptionally good at color. I received so many compliments on my highlights for months. And, my cut is beautiful (perfect long layers!). I’ve gotten to know her and have learned that she is honest, kind hearted and (so, so) artistic. She’s impressive in so many ways. Without question, I’d follow her to any salon!

Mirjam is fantastic with color and takes an interest in you as a customer. I have been 100% happy every time and I’m not going to anybody else. The venue is a bit far off but close to where I work. It’s a small place but a nice atmosphere and professional staff.
