Moonstruck is located in the main lobby of Bellevue Hospital. It replaces a longstanding diner that had become worn at thee edges and served mediocre food. Moonstruck is a gift to employees in terms of its sleek renovated décor and high quality food. It’s better than it needs to be given that it has a monopoly on sit down dining in the hospital. It’s open to outsiders because it’s situated before you have to clear security. Their daily specials are well done.

The diner is located inside Bellevue Hospital making it extremely convenient. My child had not eaten in several days so we looked at the togo menu that I brought up to the room. She thought she might be hungry for a gentle type pasta. She was so happy to see they served Fettuccine Alfredo. She really liked it. She ATE!!! The pasta was accompanied by a side Caesar Salad. The Salad is the reason for the 3 stars. So happy for the pasta.

I’m surprised there aren’t more reviews on this place. Yes, it’s in a hospital. Yes, it’s a little more expensive than what you can find within walking distance. But when you have to spend hours in the hospital waiting room, don’t you deserve to eat a little better? During the day they make gourmet pizzas and offer many varieties. I had a burger with onion rings at night toward closing. The restaurant was clean and has ample seating at oversized booths or tables scattered throughout. I was surprised at how good the service was and how quickly my food was prepared. Coffee was refilled and the burger cooked exactly as I wanted. Not the quality of food or service you would expect from«hospital food” — in fact, much, much better. When you find yourself in Bellvue Hospital and don’t relish the thought of another bag of chips from a vending machine, treat yourself to a delicious meal made to order at the Moonstruck.
