Are you kidding me? One of the best burgers I’ve ever had came off a food truck? Got the Chupacabra cheeseburger and enjoyed every single bite hoping the next would not be my last. How do they make it so good? I NEED to get another one next time I’m back in NYC.

Well, I was pretty pleased with that messy little bundle of deliciousness. I got the Kiss of the Dragon with fried chicken and cheese. The sandwich comes with bacon, avocado, onion ring, sweet chili and sriacha. What a just perfect combination of favors. So worth the 1,000 calories. Only negative is that $ 10 for a fried chicken sandwich made with 2 chicken fingers seems a bit steep to me. Ask for extra napkins… This bad boy is messy.

I want to marry the Chupacabra cheeseburger! First, I want to thank NYRR for having this food truck at the half pre-party, because I would’ve never found out about this delicious truck otherwise. I ordered the chupacabra burger which came with cheese, avocado, jalapenos(which I opted out), spicy mayo and other fixins, and an order of curly fries. I love cheeseburgers and it has been a while since I tasted one this juicy and delicious. And the curly fries… I love how curly fries are alway seasoned just right. I think my quest for the best burger might officially be over.

My coworker and I had the Munchie mobile chubacabra sandwich the other day, she convenienced me since she is a foodie and she knows all about the good stuff so I agreed since I trust her when it comes to REALLYGOODFOOD. The Chubacabra as you all know comes with Avocado, jalapeño peppers, caramelized onions and broiled or fried chicken however you prefer to have it well I had the broiled and they were all out of avocado on a brioche bun. But MYMYMY that was the most DELISH sandwich ever it was awwwwwwmazing. to the point where I was day dreaming about it days after. So last Wednesday they were back so I decided to have the full on experience with Sandwich the Avocado and all, so me and my coworker ran over there before the lunch rush and we were in luck so we ordered the chubacabra and I must say AWWWWWWWW… this is so GOOOD! It was nice and moist and the chicken was juicy and the Avocado was nice and creamy and the Jalapeño was the kicker it was just right. I can’t wait to have this again! Can we all say WINNER!

I prefer chicken to be cooked well done — because of this I always ask in advance if they can, specifically if it’s busy. If they couldn’t have cooked it well done I would have grabbed a munchie burger from, what appeared to be, an awesome selection. Today I confirmed with the guy who took my order(who was extremely helpful) that they can grill the chicken extra, extra, extra well done. He says«kinda dry» and I say«extra extra extra dry». He confirms with the chef who says«no problem». My sandwich is ready 3 mins later. Not a good sign. I try it on the spot and the chicken is disgustingly undercooked; I confer with my friend as to the under-doneness and it was cooked the same or less than his. Received a refund and went to potbelly’s. One star rating based on experience alone. Other’s seemed to enjoy their food but mine was inedible.

As a food truck virgin I am extremely pleased with my decision to lose my food truck virginity to the Munchie Mobile today in Boston at the food truck throw down. Ten food trucks, five from Boston, five from New York City and you get to vote for the best truck. Hypothetically this is supposed to be a fun and delicious experience. While we had beautiful weather and high spirits, the lines for the food trucks were insanely long and often the lines would merge. So, I will shamefully admit that my choice in Munchie Mobile was a last resort. My roommate and I made a split decision to choose the burger truck where we waited 45 minutes for a burger and the only thing I can say is that it was worth every goddamn minute. I went with the magician burger which was just the best burger I’ve ever had in my life. First of all the patty is 1⁄3 of a pound. As if that isn’t beautiful in itself, the burger is topped with smoked Gouda, bacon, a large and perfectly cooked onion ring and barbecue sauce. A beautiful artery clogger for sure. This truck is even good for those who aren’t burger fans. They had a whole mini menu for chicken sandwiches. Lastly, and probably the best thing about the Munchie Mobile are the guys who run the truck. Nice, funny, polite and personable and dare I say it, all pretty cute guys… so who wouldn’t want men like that handing you a burger sent straight from the gods themselves? No one, that’s who.

HYFR. Waited in line 45 minutes at the Boston Food Truck Throwdown for this bad boy and it was worth every. single. minute. The Munchie Burger topped with smoked gouda and the regular fixings– I vacuumed the whole thing as if I’ve never seen food before. Best burger I’ve ever had. My buddy got the Magician which comes with bacon, onion ring, smoked gouda and bbq sauce essentially all the worst things for your body on a slab of meat cuddled between two crispy pieces of bread and said it rocked her world. The crew is awesome. The End.

Warning: there is no diet food here! No salads and no bland sandwiches on a bread that has ground of pieces of nutshell in it. What IS here is a remarkably juicy, cooked-to-perfection, high-quality burger that will set you back about $ 8($ 6 if you get nothing on it). I just had the chupacabra which was insanely delicious and included avocado mash, red onion, spicy mayo, and jalapenos. Oh yes I forgot the rabbit food — lettuce and tomato, but only if you want. I’ve also tried the fat kitty which is the least insane of their classic college food truck creations(Rutgers NB at 2am anyone?), which include everything from fries and mozzarella sticks… ONTHEBURGER. Yes that’s right, in the middle with the meats and cheeses! Munchie’s burger can compete with the likes of any $ 15 Manhattan burger and dare I say, Shake Shack(gasp). Five stars and 2 thumbs up for Munchie Mobile!

I don’t often review things… but when I do, it’s usually about delicious food or horrible service. Luckily, the Munchie Mobile experience was the former. Apparently they park around the Wall/Water St. area every Thursday and the line is kinda ridic, but oh so deserved! I ordered the Chupacabra, a juicy burger with lettuce, tomato, mashed up avocado(a ton of it!), jalapenos and no onions for me. At the last second, with my eyes and taste buds thinking for me, I added in the jalapeño poppers. I maybe waited all of 8 – 10 minutes for a freshly made burger and poppers. One bite into the jalapeño poppers and it was a very pleasant surprise — piping hot jalapenos and cream cheese filling on the inside(for those who have not had this combo, it’s like crack) and crispy on the outside. BEWARE: if you bite too quickly/hard into it, the cream cheese filling will squirt out FAR. Looking like a fool in person has never been so delicious. The burger itself — I’ve often been disappointed in searching for the holy grail of burgers in NYC(Yes, I hate Shake Shack and 5 Guys is aight). Well, look no further than the Munchie Mobile. It was big, juicy and very messy(take this back to your desk guys, you will need a minimum of 5 napkins) and SO.DAMN.GOOD! Honestly, I’m from Cali(ugh yes I know, I’m an In n’Out devotee) and I’ve yet to have a REALLY good burger here and this is legitimately it. In total, the 2 items set me back $ 12.50 — a little steep but well worth the price and the wait, honestly. Also, I justify the price by telling myself it’s not like I eat like this everyday. Just a caveat: while I was waiting for my food they were closing up shop early, about 1:45p(their twitter handle said 2pm SHARP though). A woman walked up and got shut down(it was actually kinda funny — had to be there kind of moment). Anyway, if you want to avoid being turned away while they’re still on site, come knowing what you want and they’ll still take your order!

It wan’t love at first sight, but with one bite the Munchie mobile munched its way into my heart This was the first time I can say, who needs beef when the crispy chicken burger was that good. The day I came here, they did not have any beef for the burgers(and I need my beef!!!), but only a crispy chicken or grilled chicken option I got the Magician with Crispy chicken — The chicken was crispy and tender, the burger had a thick piece of gouda, a perfectly fried onion ring, and a bun was one of the best I have had. The bun needs its own description — I may be crazy but the bun seemed to be a croissant in bun form, flaky, buttery and soft, and how did I not think of this idea sooner. The curly fries were also nice and crispy with a good spring, and came in a large Chinese take out box with a side of spicy mayo Solid 4, until I try the Beef Burgers!

So they were out of avocado yesterday… My Munchie Mobile Boyfriend offered me free bacon instead on my Chupacabra. (and $ 1.50 off)… not needed — but so kind of them. Free bacon. That is all. Love these dudes.

I recently read about Munchie Mobile on a Midtown Lunch website and I had to try it. The burgers are absolutely ridiculous. Two examples: Fat Kitty: hamburger, bacon, mozzarella sticks, american cheese, fries, lettuce, tomato, honey mustard. Gangsta’s Paradise: Triple decker grilled cheese, hamburger, avocado, jalapeño poppers, fries, lettuce, tomato and ketchup. This is just two of the many items on their menu and I highlight these to show you this is not your normal burger joint. I went with the Fatty Kitty and it was really good and flavorful with a very unique taste especially with the mozzarella sticks. I also tried the fries which were just okay. I will definitely be back to try the Gangsta’s paradise when they are at Vanderbilt and 46th. Also of note they are a bit expensive with the gangsta’s paradise setting you back $ 11 and the Fat Kitty costing you $ 9. I think a regular munchie burger runs $ 6 but +1 for cheese, carmelized onions or a fried egg. You have to check their twitter account to see where they are daily. Also they can be a bit slow so don’t be in a hurry while you are waiting for your heart attack.

Stumbled upon Munchie Mobile this afternoon on 23rd and Park Ave South. I ordered the tuna melt(spicy — with jalepenos) and it was amazing. It was toasted just right, with the melty cheese and a nice kick from the jalepenos. The guy taking orders was friendly and service was relatively fast(you never know how long the actual wait will be for food to arrive with trucks in my experience) I will definitely go back and try other things on the menu, which has so many interesting and delicious-sounding options!

The Munchie Mobile has the Elvis($ 6.50), it’s a grilled peanut butter, banana, bacon, and honey sandwich that’s absolutely delicious. Their menu reads like a pot heads wet dream, where at all hours you can get anything from chocolate chip pancakes($ 5), to burgers with mozzarella sticks on them(the Fat Kitty for $ 10) to fried pickles, to fried oreos. Personally I’d like to try the Magician(an $ 8 burger with bacon, onion rings, bbq sauce, and smoked gouda) next time I’m hungry and am anywhere near the truck. For those health conscious munchers out there they do have seasonal fresh fruit($ 4), and grilled chicken($ 6) option but make no mistake, this is an indulgent truck where good decisions are put on the back burner, then deep fried and served to you with a delicious dipping sauce.

I had the Munchie Mobile on my lunch break in Midtown, and was blown away by how delicious my meal was. I had a «skinny chicken» and a most expertly arranged fruit cup. The chicken was incredibly juicy, and frankly I was a bit sad when I sunk my teeth into the last bite. The brioche bun that the yummy chicken was nestled inside of was what really brought the sandwich together. TODIEFOR. Aesthetically, this truck kicks a**. It is a real eye catcher on the streets of New York City, and has an excitement and originality that a lot of other food trucks lack. The guys working on the truck were super friendly and exuded a certain coolness. I think the Munchie Mobile has a great thing going for it, and I cannot wait to encounter them again!

The menu was fun to read(some of the items will appeal to fans of ) and the burger combinations all sounded good. I really wanted a bacon avocado cheeseburger and fried pickles but they were out of avocado and fried pickles so I got the Blue Dream Burger(caramelized onions, bleu cheese, and bacon) and shared mozz sticks with my bf. We both thought our burgers were pretty good but nothing amazing. The mozz sticks def came frozen, but they were fried well and came 8 to an order. I like the idea of this place but it has a lot of room for improvement. For one thing, I’d think that such a clearly stoner-induced menu would mean excessive amounts of bacon on my burger, but I only got 1 slice. Also the line and our order took FOREVER. Maybe the guy who gets baked to dream up sandwiches like a bacon, egg & cheese on jalapeño cheddar pancakes should let someone else run the truck counter? They need to pick up the pace if they want to serve lunch in Midtown. And they shouldn’t be running out of stuff before 1:30.

I’m very bummed out. I walked by on a coffee run and was immediately captivated by the munchie mobile’s eyes! its really cool, so cool that I spent some time googling the exact name and the menu. Decision made, I went over to grab lunch and after I ordered, I immediately thought, hmm, this is one of those places where my order could be wrong and I wouldn’t know until I got back to my desk. And that ladies and gentlemen is exactly what happened. I ordered the bleu dream burger with caramelized onions, bleu cheese, and bacon. my burger came with caramelized onions and no bleu cheese or bacon. Instead it had regular American cheese. I also ordered the curly fries and then added on a coke, which was the best decision I made. A) they serve mexican coke! you can really taste the difference. B) the fries were soggy and flavorless. They did come in a fun Chinese food takeout box, but it wasn’t enough to make up for the disappointment. I will say that the burger itself was pretty good, but I don’t think I’ll go back again to try their grilled cheese. I went early and there wasn’t a huge line for the truck, so there is no good reason to screw up the burger like that by not adding the BACON! It is cruel to hold back the bacon when I ordered bacon. The employees were nice and the burger was fairly good, but overall, not worth it. Sorry guys, I’m a huge fan of food trucks and there are some pretty good ones in nyc. time to up the game.
