This was my first time going here for supplies. I have to say they were super friendly and helpful. Joy, you were such a pleasure! I have never gone into any of these stores and was greeted and helped like I was here. I wasn’t rushed either with only minutes to close. Thank you Myron Tobak, Joy is the best! See you soon!

I am taking my first jewelry course and the teacher sent us here. I am just starting To make Jewelry and they were really nice in letting me know what tools to get(student green handles) and that I didn’t need everything on the list. I was able to buy all my supplies for the ring class and they showed me that I needed 2 different solders for the 2 joints. It is a family business and I got to see all of the family there. It’s nice to see how friendly they are with all their customers. The lady next to me has been a customer there for over 30 years! Will recommend them to everyone just starting out.

Depends on what you want — I purchased a sterling silver chain and clasp and thought the price was reasonable. And then I spoke with them about a few items I wanted to sell and they became sharks. Telling me that my item was not fine silver — when it was marked«fine silver» and came from the Metropolitan Museum of Art gift shop. The MMA is very reputable. They would not stoop to falsely marking their products. The other item was 800 silver from Europe. And once again they are telling me it could not be real silver. Like I said sharks. Instead go visit the very nice young man at the very front of 25 West 47th on the left-hand side just as you enter. His name is Mike. He confirmed my items were just what I said they were via an x-ray machine. And paid me their value per their weight and quality. With him I would do business again and again.

Myron Toback has been around since forever and you can still see him working behind the counter with his children in this family run business. I don’t come here as often as I used to, I guess it’s because of the«run and get it» atmosphere, you can’t really«shop», which actually might be a good thing. If you have a list you don’t really need to shop around anyway, right? They have a one up on Metalliferous in that they have gold as well as silver shot, wire, sheet, solder, etc. If you don’t know what you’re looking for you can check out their catalouges or ask anyone working there. Most people who work there are pretty friendly and are there to help you.

I found the man who works there to be rude and unfriendly. There are plenty of other places for jewelry supplies to choose from. Wise up! MM

I love this family run business! I go there for occasional finding and to trade in scrap. No matter what you go in for, they are extremely helpful and very friendly. Even for phone orders!

I can’t speak highly enough of Myron Toback. I have met both Myron and his son Michael. They are both extremely helpful, friendly and kind. They are also well priced. It’s easy to see why this metal and findings company has been in business for over 40 years. They treat you with respect, no question is a dumb question and you’ll walk out with a smile. I recommend Myron Toback to every jeweler I know.
