My favorite egg with cheddar cheese omelette is at Noho Star! Love the burger too! Better than any other«diner» in the area.

*hands full Bloody Mary to bartender who ‘crafted’ it: «um. you can have this back.» When you hand a Bloody Mary of this caliber to an unsuspecting hungover millennial, you intentionally become the scapegoat for the rest of the day.

Great food. Horrible service. It takes forever for any waiter/waitress or even manager to notice you. You have to waive and ask if they would like to take your order. Every. Single. Time.

BESTBURGEREVER, to my liking. Holy cow. Everytime my boyfriend and I visit New York we always HAVE to stop by this spot. Their hot chocolate is also on point

«What is this place? A no talking center?» I have lived in this city for 13 years and I visited this place for the first time on a early Sunday evening. Buuuuuttttttt, the results were very disappointing. The main issue that I had with this place was the bartender, who said that I was speaking«too loudly». For the amount of people that were at the restaurant the place already was fairly loud. The bartender said that I was«too loud» or rather the manager said that I was being too loud. Funny, when we asked to speak to this so called manager who was giving the order that I was too loud, no manager showed up. As someone who has visited quite a few bars in NYC over the past 13 years, it is easy to find a manager to take care of a customer’s complaint. Whatever, I guess this place always will be just a fixture on Fafayette St.

My first time coming here and I get the sense that this place used to be better. I’ve passed by it hundreds of times and always thought it looked so inviting. The décor and atmosphere is perfectly pleasant, as is the service(except for the fact that we ordered bread but never received it), but the food is just really not great. Everyone recommends the potato pancakes with tuna sashimi so I tried those. First of all, I could barely taste any other flavor other than wasabi – the wasabi crème fraîche was insanely overpowering, and did not work well at all with potato pancakes. The sashimi was rather chewy and tasted a bit too fishy, must’ve been a mediocre cut. Overall, I don’t think the flavors work together at all. I had some of my friend’s french fries and they were dry and pretty unsatisfying. For such high prices, I’d expect the food quality to be much better. I will not be returning.

my husband and i always used to eat here. We used to love the food, but in the past 8 months the food has changed. we found out the 2 main chefs were no longer there. the chicken with butter sauce is totally different now. we ordered it 2 different times and both.

This was a randomly selected place for dinner last night. I was pleased with the service(Meredith), the food, the décor and the prices seemed fair for Manhattan. I’ll be back.

What an amazing spot. I feel like I found a little hidden gem near my job. First couple of times I was at this establishment it was to grab takeout for lunch. While sitting at the bar grabbing a glass of wine and waiting for the food I instantly feel in love with this place. The bartender(Haru) was extremely kind and knowledgeable about their food and liquors. He definitely left a great impression that lead me to order from them once a week for takeout… well that and the awesome food. I ordered the chicken club three times because I enjoyed it that much. The curried mayo seals the deal and the bacon is a nice thick cut. Today I dined in at the bar for lunch. It’s the perfect place for a quiet lunch. I also tried something new that the bartender requested and fell in love with the Noho burger. I got it medium and it will was cooked perfectly. It had avocado, watercress, and bacon. I have been told that the brunch is amazing. So I have another reason to come besides just the burger and chicken club sandwich. Thank you NoHo Star, you got a regular !!!

I’ve had their gold n green and it was delicious. You can really taste the quality ingredients that go into it. Both simple and delicious. A little on the pricey side, but worth the quality.

Great place for lunch. Although it is busy, you can still find a spot for lunch. I had the spinach, mushroom and ricotta omelette with a side of whole wheat toast and French fries. The omelette itself was a little bit bland, I would have liked a little more seasoning. The fries were delicious! Will come back again when I can sit down for lunch. It’s a great place for people watching — you never know what personalities you’ll be dining with.

More like the NoHo One Star. The tequila here was tequila. The food? I have no clue how it tastes because we never received it. We waited forty five minutes. We couldn’t even get the waitress to bring out check or provide info on our order. We left cash on the table and left the establishment.

Our server was inattentive to the point that it was just funny. She literally only took our orders, brought us our first round of water and then our check. We even had to flag her down just to get our check and we just gave up on water refills. It was a typical Sunday crowd — no wait and not understaffed. Our food was brought by a runner and the server never once checked on us for another round of drinks or refills. Everyone working looked completely displeased to be there. As for the food, it was fairly good brunch fare. I had the«gold n green» omelet which was well cooked, not too greasy, large portion. Friends had the salmon & lox /BEC /eggs idaho — all approved. Pricing wasn’t too terribly steep for NYC. Overall it’s a great location and nice ambience, just get some friendlier/more attentive staff.

It’s a pity that they used to be much better. Came back here after a while and the quality of the service declined to be point of being somewhat indifferent and even wasn’t there at a peak time. As for food, had the burger and while it was worthy of a 4 star review, the surroundings just didn’t give that oomph. Nice place otherwise.

Came here for brunch on Sunday and the host seated us right away and within minutes we had our drink order. Decently priced I went with the Eggs Idaho which was pretty yummy; sunny side eggs, potato pancakes, and sausage. Cooked perfectly with a great crust on the potato pancakes, the eggs were delightful and I went the chicken sausage which was savory. Service was good, they came back to ask if we wanted dessert but we were so full from our meal that we skipped out. Overall, this place is good just not a place I would go out of my way to go to.

This quirky Greenwich Village spot hasn’t been removed of its original crazy décor and watered down to a corporate aesthetic. So I hope you’ll appreciate the originality even if you can’t wrap your mind around it. The prices are average for the area– and as far as places that open for breakfast before 9am with table service, you’ll pay the same across the street at Le Pain, and less than Lafayette up the street. The coffee is a bottomless cup– which is hard to come by in the Village. The brioche French toast was spectacularly flavorful and heavenly. The egg scramble bruschette was flavorful and filling but still light enough to feel healthy. The home potatoes are done with rosemary, scallion, and onion. The service has always been on it and I never felt like anything was delayed, ignored, or missed. A solid choice for breakfast, brunch, and lunch– I have yet to try it for dinner.

I have been eating at the Noho Star for years and it’s one of favorite go-to spots. The food is amazing, especially the goat cheese spaghettini. The atmosphere is the perfect mix between a classic dinner and a more traditional downtown restaurant. Highly recommended!

I may have eaten at the NoHo Star more than any other restaurant. I have been eating here for many years, long before the neighborhood to the south became«hot» and started boasting a lot of nice restaurants. Looking back, it’s surprising I haven’t rated it before. The food here is good. I seldom get out for lunch, but when I do, I usually go to the NoHo Star. I almost always order the Caesar salad; I think it is the best is the city. But all the food is good. Their homemade limeade, ginger ale, and ice tea are all delicious. Fries are very good. The sundaes they have for dessert are great. A decent fraction of the staff are people I have seen there for years. I always take that as a good sign. One nit — unless I get a booth, I find the seating a little crowded. I recommend the NoHo Star. I doubt you’ll be disappointed.

This use to be my favorite place in the world — use to be. After years of loyalty they killed all of the vegetarian dishes on the dinner menu. How hard is to keep one damn vegetarian item on the dinner menu? They also killed the baby artichokes on the lunch menu — one of their better dishes. Good bye old friend, I miss you…

This is an aggregate review of many visits to Noho Star. It’s a nice quiet restaurant and has a decent menu. Prices are pretty good for the area. I’ve never been steered wrong. The burger is solid, the sandwiches are good and the service is quick and friendly. If you’re looking for a good breakfast or lunch spot then check it out.

Also viel Flair, gemischtes Publikum, stylische Bedienungen. Mal ganz nett.
