NY Nature Spa

Came here because it was close to work and I needed a manicure badly. This is prefect if you need a quick manicure. It’s not going to be prefect but good enough for a quick fix. The place seems clean and they’re quick. My manicure probably took 30 min total including drying time. Paid 11.50 plus tip.

Visit here after work on Friday. They offer the best in massages, scrubs, facials, etc. Massage therapists and estheticians are fantastic and they are really in tune with what your body and face need.
I will definitely be back, and perhaps book a longer treatment as well. Great services, nice atmosphere, and for NYC, reasonable prices. Highly recommended.

Great place for manicure and pedicure. I came here because It is really closed to where I work. Even though this is a very old store, they try really hard to make me comfortable, chairs are relaxing and staffs are very friendly. I will recommend to my colleagues.

I’m really glad I stumbled upon this place. I got a manicure and it came out great. I didn’t know the exact color i wanted, but they were so patient and helpful in helping me pick the perfect one. Service was great and prices were reasonable. The massage was also an added bonus. I will definitely be coming back.

I always get my Brazilian here, and it’s a pretty good deal for in the city. I also get my shellac here and it usually lasts around 2 weeks if I don’t pick at it. Def recommend if you want consistent service and a good environment.

Horrible customer service. I went in to get shellac nail service and this was the poorest job I had ever seen. Not only did the nails color begin to run and melt while under the light, what was even more deplorable was that the gentleman doing my nails kept trying to paint over the mess. The man left in the middle of doing my nails and the manager was supposed to take over. I had already been at this place for two hours when she insisted my nails were not dripping, they were «a little wrinkled». After I told her this was unacceptable she began to yell and I even had to call the police because she would not allow me to leave (this is public record if you need to look it up). I would never recommend this or wish this place on my worst enemy. Do your own nails with Sally Hansen for 5 bucks before going here.

I used to come here often due to the proximity to my office but I think I’m done coming here. I understand that they are trying to be accommodating by getting you in and out during your lunch hour but you should never sacrifice quality for it. Like other reviews mentioned– the polish is very diluted and comes out weird when they apply it. The price is also waaaay too expensive. $ 43 for shellac manicure?! They also charge you to take off the previous shellac polish! Jeez!!! I can get a manicure and pedicure for that price elsewhere.

Worst $ 50 spent!
I bent a nail so was desparate for a fix. I asked the first woman if they did nail gels; she said yes. I sat and told the next person at the chair that I needed my gels redone. She started peeling off the old ones (which peels off my natural nails too!!!) so I explained that she needed to use a file. She started using a file but then again started peeling. Another lady (now my 3^rd interface) exchanged seats and continued. Now I had nothing on my nails except the silk repair to the bent nail. This 3^rd lady asked if I didn’t want something on all my nails since they are so thin!!! What!!! So no one understands English in this place???
So this lady put something on my nails. She nicked my skin and it started bleeding… it was the 2^nd girl that called it to her attention. She just looked at me when I said ouch and had pulled my finger away for a second… guess she did not see the red (blood)!!!
I swear, the edges started peeling within 2 days and there were cracks in the nail polish in less than one week. Considering that my nails normally last 2 – 3 weeks before a fill, this was pathetic.
The place is plain, as others have said. But it is their poor service that earns then a minus zero!

Went here for the first time to get a pedicure since it was near work, but was very disappointed. First off walking up the stairs is kind of creepy, but what the hell it is NY.
Upon entering it is a small space and was asked to wait a few minutes and pick a color since all the pedicure stations were taken. They have big leather recliners and then put your feet in a warm bucket of water. No massage chairs, no soaking your feet in nice water. The lady that did my nails was very nice, but that was about it. Then went to their «drying station», which was hardly that. It was a row that just had fans and you just sit there and wait. There was no timer or UV light. You kind of just guessed that you were done or left when you felt like it.
Overall not a very good experience and I will not be coming back here.

I checked this place because of all the nice words I heared about it. I think you have to experiance it for yourself to find out. This place was gross. Over priced and not what I was looking for. NYC is big and you can find many more and better place then this. Honestly YUCK!

There must be some trickery afoot. Even if there are no better options for a quick mani/​pedi in the Times Square abyss, I’d rather chew my nail polish off with my teeth than step foot in here again.
Let us begin with a scary walk up a fluorescent-​lit stairwell posing as a fly hotel. Dirty walls, the wreak of filth and a sign posted warning trespassers that they were being filmed. Following arrows pointing to the nail salon I was met with a black wrought iron gate separating the salon from the hallway. Awesome.
Upon entrance I was directly to a wall of watered down Essie polishes and grabbing one I was seated to enjoy the most slapdash manicure of my life. I actually asked my lady to not use the cuticle cutters since nary a antibacterial bath or cabinet could be seen. The pedicure area is a row of 4 – 5 large leather lazy boys with plastic buckets lined in bags to dip your poor little toes. When asked to pay, the women requested $ 11.50 despite the post $ 10 rate for manicures. This apparently includes $ 1 for the quick dry and $ 0.50 sales tax. And no, the quick dry isn’t optional … nor does it actually do anything to dry your nails. So I sat for 15 minutes with my wet Home & Garden magazine waiting as dollar store mini fans tried fruitlessly to harden my nails. No heater, no UV, no little back rub… all I wanted to do was escape.
Overpriced, creepy, and all around a miserable place to do something that should be enjoyable. Pass.

This place was great. We had a very short day in Manhattan and when I called the day before to make an appt, the owner told me she would come in an hour early the following day to accommodate us. Great service, reasonable prices and a great pedicure which included a 10 minute foot massage. Will definitely go back the next time I’m in NY.

I love this place. It’s very clean albeit not so fancy. My nails always look great when I leave. AND if you’re in a rush, you can get a ludicrous speed mani/​pedi! but if you want to relax and chill, you can request it. But if it’s during prime time, expect a quickie but a goodie.

Definitely an oasis in the middle of the city. Not a fancy spot, but definitely a clean and friendly one. As partof my new year’s resolution of pampering myself a little more, I had the pleasure of getting a much needed mani and pedi this week at NY Nature Spa. I love the fact that they don’t use the foot baths with the jets (much more hygenic). The staff is very friendly and accomodating. I am definitely making this my new mani pedi haven.

Located right in the heart of New York and within a stone’s throw of Times Square, you will find an unassuming oasis.
My first experience with NY Nature Spa was for an impromptu manicure, which they gave me a free 15 minute shoulder massage. It was enough for me to come back for more and I opted for a full hour hot stone massage, which i was charged $ 65.
If you are not familiar with hot stone massage, unlike the pics you often see depicted where they rest stones on your back, the masseuse actually uses the hot stones to massage and gently melts away your tired sore muscles.
I have been back a few times now — for another massage and a facial. I am definitely a fan of NY Nature Spa. Their no nonsense approach is actually quite refreshing. This place is not fancy, and you’ll be able to hear what’s going on in the other rooms but they are very clean and their services definitely matches up to par with the spas I have paid far more for.
Overall thoughts:
Ambiance — could be improved.
Value for money — definitely!
Quality of Service — absolutely!
