Went on a Sunday and shared 3 dishes. All the meats were overlooked and the entire meal was alarmingly simple. Won’t go again.

The food here is so great. Not a massive menu which makes it easier to read the menu (can’t stand 3 paged menus). Good music & good vibes. I even bring my son (3) on Sundays to watch Carol Lipnik perform live in the back with Mat Kanelos. He orders the grilled chicken with hand made fries. I have 3 favorite dishes (Atlantic salmon with lentil pilaf, mussels and their burger). Ive come here for date night and girls night. Summertime is nice out front with wine. Great service Danny and Douglas are awesome and the owners are always very hospitable.

Now Pangea has opened a cabaret in their back room. Café Noctambulo is always packed and full of coolness and characters so book ahead to avoid disappointment! Worth checking out their performer line up.

Stay away from this place. I really wish Unilocal had a 0 star. The hostess is extremely bias when attending customers. One can feel the difference in the service provided. I would never support a place that has a culture of discrimination– for goodness sake we’re in NYC in the 21st century. Food was horrendous rather have ordered Chinese would’ve probably been a better night.

This place is the absolute worst. The bartender lost my debit card behind the bar somewhere. I was visibly annoyed and he suggested that I just «cancel the card». I’m sorry, what? Why should I have to inconvenience myself because the bartender is irresponsible? After twenty minutes of searching he finally found it but was arguing with me and even cursed at me throughout the the process. A manager came out but didn’t seem to be concerned that his employee had just yelled at me. Stay far away.

I want into this restaurant last night and noticed how gritty the table was. I took my napkin and wiped it down. To my horror the napkin was black with dirt and soot.
When I brought the waiters attention to the filth he gave the table a quick wipe and
made a lot of nasty and rude excuses for the disgusting dirt. That is no way to treat a returning customer. Filth and really bad attitude was too much for us and we left.
DON’T EAT HERE IF YOU EXPECT A CLEAN TABLE.
BAD ATTITUDE AND DIRTY TABLES… NOT FOR ME!

Decent place to grab a drink with friends. Music is alright really up beat. Bar service was good. Got a loaded Corona and a glass of wine bill came to 24 bucks.

HORRIBLE.
Food = Horrible. I got the penne with mushroom ($ 17) which was tasteless and something I could have made at home. Seriously tasteless. It’s like they didn’t even use cream, just threw some milk and old mushrooms in a bowl with noodles.
My boyfriend got the Coq A Vin and his first words after taking a bite were, I kid you not, «Did you order me curry and mashed potatoes?». The chicken was sooo mushy and buried underneath this horrid sauce.
We got two white wines. My boyfriend said his was fine but when he tasted mine, he said «This tastes like… alcohol and water». Seriously. Tasted like rubbing alcohol mixed with water.
The service was friendly but non existent. I know it must be stressful only having 1 waiter service the whole restaurant on a Friday night but um, why only one waiter!?! I felt bad because he was so nice but it took at least 10 – 15 minutes to even get a menu and then another 20 minutes to get the check. The bill was $ 54 for shitty food. Never again.

I just hosted a baby shower here and it was just beautiful. A big shout out to Stephen and his team for the amazing food, service, and excellent pricing.
I would definitely recommend this place for any event and will be back in the future!

Went here on a Friday night around 8:30 and managed to snag a table no problem. The staff was extremely friendly, and the waiter was helpful when I couldn’t make my mind up over the cocktail menu (they all looked good — for the record). Their fresh mozzarella is really good, and I even got ambitious and tried their octopus starter, which was also excellent. Although the waiter brought up meatballs by accident (I guess he mishead «Mozzarella» when we initially ordered it — he fixed the order very quickly and problem was solved.
Cute restaurant for girls night, or a casual nice meal!

Been here a few times since my review. I still love it as do the people I have taken with me.
My only complaint is the décor, it’s hideous. There are troll doll pillows and star wars lamps, I just don’t get it. Someone needs to come in and change the décor, because it looks like it was decorated from a garage sale. I think this will have a negative effect on the place and will deter people from coming in and eating because it would make me think if they décor is so bad than the food must be bad too, which isn’t the case at all! I’m even a little weirded out by it and may stay away during the winter and opt to come during the summer where I can sit outside.

I hosted my best friend’s bachelorette party here. Considering the location of this restaurant I think we got a huge bang for our buck.
We were served a three course meal, wine and sangria for an amazingly low price. The back room was intimate. The staff was extremely accommodating (i.e changing table clothes, allowing early arrival for set up and playing ambiance music). I continue to receive compliments from fellow guests that it was such a great location and really delicious food for a bridal luncheon. I’m hoping to have another excuse to plan a party here again.
