*Overpriced, and very small portions. *Lobster Nachos with Guac is good. *Pop Burger Sliders are mediocre. *Crispy Gulf Shrimp Rolls with sweet chili sauce are decent.

Average burgers, small portions Yet overpriced. THe Fries were crispy and good. The Milkshake is nearly 7 dollars. I wouldn’t come back here. The ambiance was decent, and the service was quick.

This location is now CLOSED. They are still open in the Meatpacking District and near Union Square on 11th St. This was always a nice spot to pOp into for togo food to take and eat in the park or to fuel me up before a stressful ordeal at the Apple Genius bar across the street. The service was a tad slow here and the burgers to me were a hair overcooked, which is not hard to do since they are such small little sliders. If you are feeling their absence do yourself a favor and head over to Burger Joint in the Parker Meridian.

Overall rating 3.5 stars. I can’t give the full 4 stars because it seems a bit pricier than it should be for what it is. They’re pretty good sliders and I think the buns are great(not soft enough to get soggy but doesn’t overpower the whole burger). We had two orders of the Pop Burgers, Pesto fries, onion rings, and a crappy vanilla shake for almost $ 30! Eh… Overall though, everything was great except for the shake. It was pretty much just melted ice cream, nothing special about it, and SMALL for $ 6! They also charge $ 2.25 for a can of soda! Try going to a bodega to get them for a $ 1 instead of buying from here. It was worth a try. Now that I have, I can happily cross off my list.

I had to run a quick errand at Barney’s during my lunch break and therefore needed a quick Friday lunch I could take back with me to my office in Queens. I stumbled upon the nearby Pop Burger, and decided to grab some takeout from there. The line was long, the wait was brutal, and the prices were high. I ordered some sliders(2 for $ 9.25) and an order of fries($ 4.25), and took it back to Queens with me. The sliders were tasty little guys, but very greasy. The«special sauce» was barely detectable. However, just the 2 sliders filled me up. The miracle here was the french fries. Usually fries don’t make a 5 minute walk home, let alone a 20 minute subway/walking journey across a river. However, these exceptional fries stayed crisp and warm, and just as good as eating them in the restaurant.

I never wrote a review on Unilocal before — but this is possibly the worst meal I ever had in my entire life. I spent $ 28 on the Superman burger, Black and White Shake, and Onion Rings. Not sure it’s because everything else was so bad — that the onion rings was the only thing tolerable. The place is a mess, it’s dirty, over priced, seriously it’s just shocking that this establishment even exists. if i really think about it — i almost rather throw 28 dollars on the street because i think something better will come out of it Save your money and time and eat… anywhere else in the world.

I bet the discussion from the managers’ planning meeting at Pop Burger went something like this: CEO: How do we get people to overpay for pathetic, undersized burgers? Board: Let’s call them sliders! Don’t get me wrong, when done right, I love sliders as much as the next guy. They’re fun and tasty. But partly due to the popularity of gastropubs and the need to find something trendy and unique, a lot of spots getting into this cool burgerlito phenomenon do not get the difference between a slider and a tiny burger. Pop burger has the look and feel of a spot that has seen its best days behind it, which is sad given its prime location across the street from FAO Schwartz and blocks away from Central Park. The décor strives for sexy, retro-modern, and cool. The menu is ambitious. The execution, however, is lacking. We walked in and the restaurant was empty, the floors were sticky, and several tables still had leftover food. The burgerlitos were actually decent, though slightly overcooked. The best part were the tater tots, fried perfectly crispy and served hot. The milkshake tasted like it was made from real ice cream — perfectly creamy and not too sweet, but not near Shake Shack’s level. To its credit, Pop Burger boasts an extensive menu, including burgers, hot dogs, calamari, shrimp sandwiches, etc. Overall, I think it tries to do too much, focusing more on the trendy and cool than getting a few things right.

Good burgers… and they have beer… but that’s about it. Tried the superman burger, pretty awesome, had a wife of the Pop burgers my wife ordered, also pretty good, and some fries, not that great. I really like that they serve fried pickles with the burger, but cold? really? gross. Also the music was wayyyy too loud and obnoxious. Trance/house party music of some kind that was ridiculous and out of place. I’d come back again for the food, but definitely not the atmosphere.

Highlight of the night: Pearl Jam’s «Jeremy» streaming out of the speakers half way through dinner, since the song was very appropriate for my feelings at that point. WOARSTDINNAREVAR!!! one!!111! From none of the beers on tap being cold, to taking 30 minutes to serve a bottled beer(after having to get up to remind our waitress), to our silverware including simply a knife(had to get up to inquire about a fork as well), to being told ketchup was«on its way» although the table next to us received their silverware and ketchup prior to their food arriving(again, having to get up to ask for it) it was truly abysmal. In all fairness, the ketchup finally arrived, unfortunately, it arrived after all the food was consumed — the last thing I would consider is sending it back to get reheated. The worst thing is that they were not even close to busy and they had several waitresses working. In addition, our waitress decided to apologize to the guy next to us for having to wait for his beer but not us. The food was fine(or we were just starving, I’m not quite sure). Regardless, not only will I not be back, but I won’t even go within 2 blocks of this place ever again. Sorry, Apple Store.

Sat in the lounge area for lunch on a Monday and it was totally empty. You know how service is sometimes just as bad on a reallllly slow shift as it is on a really busy shift? That’s how it is here. The sliders were yummy but a little overcooked. I also shared a steak salad with my friend which was ordered medium rare but came out well done. The fries and onion rings were good but man… everything was sooo expensive!

Came here for«dinner» with my two favorite gals. Lower level was simplistic and artsy — sort of like a gallery. Loved the words on the wall upon entering. Very bright. Wooden tables and chairs — looked eco friendly too. Family and kid friendly. One level up — a lounge area with a bar. Loved the glass display behind the bar. Pretty dim. Velvet-like seating with glass tables — tried to look classy. Happy hour for tourists and people working nearby. Two level up — another lounge equipped with pool table and bar. Loved the circular glass at the end of the room. Really dark — so dark that I did not know which one was the men’s room and which one was the ladies room. I literally stood about 2 inches away from the door just to make sure I went into the right bathroom. Sheesh, did they think people have night vision or something? Velvet-like seating with glass tables — very lounge like and spacious. Party it up, baby! Pop-something-tini = $ 9 Draft beer(half off during happy hour) = $ 2.50 Sprite = $ 2 or something Crispy gulf shrimp roll with sweet chili sauce(4 pieces) = $ 15 Lobster nacho with guac(6 pieces) = $ 20 Pop burgers(3 sliders) = $ 15(more expensive during dinner) Gratuity = 18%(for only 3 people)… Hunger level = unsatisfied Wallet = feels empty The crispy gulf shrimp roll with sweet chili sauce — the shrimp tasted fresh, but it was only okay. The sweet chili reminds me of duck sauce or something for eggrolls. The lobster nacho with guac was actually pretty good. The lobster and guac tasted fresh, but lobster meat wasn’t very generous. The Pop burgers… well they are just sliders and more expensive because it was dinner hour. Well… how should I say this nicely? After eating what seemed to be pretty expensive samplers, we three left hungry and went on a search for more food. I guess the concept of this place is interesting — lounge upstairs and fastfood/takeout downstairs. However, coming here for some real food, I think not.

Walked in and smelled the grease and smoke. POP burgers — 2 small sliders for $ 8(overpriced). Prefer Shake Shack for price and taste. Ordered gobble gobble(turkey sandwich?) and got crispy fried shrimp sandwich. It was dry, with not so fresh shredded lettuce, two VERY thin slice of tomato, no mayo or tarter sauce and the bun crumbled and fell apart. Not worth $ 9. French fries and tater tots are okay. Definitely will not come back again. I rather go to McDonald.

This place has a gorgeous atmosphere upstairs, I never saw the downstairs/to-go area. I will agree with the review, It is an absolute maze to get to the restroom here. I met up with 2 friends for a drink, we split the pop burgers(3 sliders) and some fries. Everyone is saying not worth the money for the amount of food, I have to disagree… I’m not a big fan of meat, but these turkey sliders were the best burger type things I’ve ever tasted! I craved them for the remainder of my vacation to New York. The pop sauce is fantastic, it’s a mixture of ketchup, mayo and lemon juice. It was described as a chipotle type sauce by the server. I loved it, and I hate mayo… so it blended pretty well. I will recommend this place to friends, as long as they aren’t on a budget, which I extremely hard to be on in Manhattan!

The interior may be tempting, but the food is near mediocre. And you know what they say when something might look beautiful on the outside, but ugly on the inside. Interior to food. The sign easily looks like a disco. Just take out ‘burger’ and flip the club side out from the bottom. I had 2 orders of Pop Burgers, fries and a soda. A can of soda. How lame for a small chain. The teeny-tiny 2 burgers were really cutesy and small, but $ 8? You’re not Five Guys, first of all. 2 tiny burgers don’t make one burger. What is a Pop Burger? A POP Burger is just a cheeseburger. A very small one. The fries were very paltry, made me very nostalgic about public school fries, if not worse. Cold and deep fried. Blech. Worst of all, they call scream out people’s numbers for orders when the catering area is all the way at the end. These guys must have sore throats when they go home. And all this for $ 24? Please just flip over your disco bar side and stay there. No food service for you.

I came here due to the 8coupon deal from pop burger. Yes, I’m looking a gift horse in the mouth, but what do you expect from a bunch of cheapskates trying to score a deal. When I heard about this deal, I was flip flopping more than John Kerry in a presidential election. At first I didn’t think anything of the deal — meh 88 cents for 2 burgers — excited wait, they’re sliders, I can get White Castle for cheap — meh wait, it’s a $ 7 value? — excited what kind of idiot would pay 4 bucks a pop per burger — meh These burgers are a bit misleading. When they came out, I noticed they came on a tiny small bun. For American sized portions, these are more like appetizers– for little kids. I’ve seen the mini burger appetizer at Cheesecake factory, and that’s enough to feed a whole family. The meat itself didn’t look that bad. It was a nice thick size but not as wide as a hockey puck. The burger had a bit of a char to it. I thought that the burger was a bit dry. $ 8 bucks for 2 sliders and I’m still starving? Are you kidding me? I guess we shouldn’t be too picky. The slider is about 3 or 4 times the thickness of a white castle, and fresh meat. But I don’t like paying that much and walking away hungry. I’d rather hit up Shake Shack if I’m in the mood for a burger. Btw, they have a few other floors up above. If you’re in the mood for good Sliders on the cheap, and you can’t get a coupon for this place, I recommend 123 Burger Shot Beer in Hell’s Kitchen! $ 1 sliders.

This is a review for the third floor party area. O_O That was my face when I closed my tab. Way expensive, waited 15 minutes for a drink one time with nobody else at the bar(later found out that it was because they were letting the barback work the bar). Drinks inexplicably tasted like peanuts/peanut butter(multiple people said this).

The burgers here was just ok. We had the groupon here for 6 sliders, french fries and onion rings, and two beers. The meat in the sliders was very dried, hard to swallow and the flavor was really not good. In my opinion, even McDonald’s had better burgers than here. The french fries were cripsy but too greasy, and the onion rings were just average. Overall, just an okay. There are much better slider places in the city. My personal favorite one is Mark on St Marks.

Pop Burger has the most delicious sliders and fries! YUM! Came here for lunch with a friend who works near by and LOVES the burgers here. But they are more like sliders — and you get 2 in a little box with each order. We ordered a Pop Burger($ 8) each and shared an order of French Fries($ 3.75). The burgers were juicy and delicious. Like other NY burgers, the meat patty was very thick and fatty. It was served with a very thin layer of lettuce, tomato, but a nice helping of thousand island… the bun was toasted, soft, and thick. All in all, VERY good sliders. Would definitely come back again. The french fries were also VERYVERY good. They are the most crunchiest french fries EVER! They have this extra layer of crunchiness from extra breading. wowwwwwwwww. such a clever idea! and OHSO good. Décor of the restaurant is adorable and very much reflecting«pop culture» — with the cool art work and retro seating area. Even the food comes out in cute little containers. Another great burger joint in NY!

I saw Pop Burger on tv which can often lead to disappointment. But Pop Burger performed! My grandma and I each got an order of Pop Burgers and shared an order of fries. The little burgers are cooked fresh and very tasty and filling. The fries are good too. I would definitely recommend for a quick casual meal.

I have no clue why two mini burgers here cost $ 7. Or why two burnt hot dogs cost $ 7. Also, no clue why the onion rings that I’m not even sure really have onion it in since the batter is so thick costs $ 3.75. I guess the burgers weren’t that bad, but if I’m in midtown, I would much rather go to Burger Joint because it’s both cheaper and better. On a Sunday during lunch, this place was also run amock by kids, probably after shopping at FAO. I love kids, just was not expecting it to be so crazy… I guess because the meatpacking location is so different. Regardless, there is a better burger elsewhere.
