Just had a horrible experience with the very stubborn and rude owner. My wife had 2 pairs of identical pants hemmed and tapered. He pinned one leg and where she wanted it. When she returned to pick up the pants, they were both too long and not tapered to how she wanted. Instead of rectifying the situation, he decided he would charge her to fix his mistake because«I don’t make mistake.» I asked for them to be fixed appropriately or for my money back and he refused both even though she’s been a loyal customer for a couple of years. Customer is not right at this location-he is.

I have been going here for many years and have never been dissatisfied. They are very hepful, the work is good, and they are open like 12 hours almost every day. Some jobs are a little pricey but still worth it to be able to trust them to do a good job Never rude. Even let my neighbor bring her dog in when she was in a pinch for time Typical alterations i get are to shorten sleeves or pants but i have also attempted to drive them wild by bringing in items that i got on sale that needed major alterations. They have altered and relined coats for me too

Rude and extortionately expensive. Needed a few alterations on a coat, they tried to charge me $ 750 — went to Wo’s Custom Tailoring on 72nd&2nd, they charged me £280. I only stopped by Prince as I was stuck in traffic for what seemed to be a decade — Wo’s always do a superb job.

I’m someone who puts a lot of faith and trust in a tailor so it takes a lot for me to find one I really like. I get a very good portion of my clothes altered. I like this place! Pluses: highly skilled, accommodating to rush requests, professional and friendly with a laid back atmosphere. Kind of reminds me of an old fashioned tailor with the chalk and stitch marks. The quality of work has been superb. Minuses: cash only, location is a little hidden, slightly pricey but only when comparing to dry cleaner alterations.

So I went to this tailor to try and get some shirts altered. After speaking to the owner, he recommended that I not make any changes as they would be quite minor. I asked if he could(for my own reference) take 3 measurements(takes a whole of 30 seconds total). He does so and then charges me US$ 10 for using his ‘time.‘ There was never any mention of any charge at any point and the gentleman just made up a number on the spot. When I appealed to him, saying that he should have told me if there was a charge he responds with ‘whatever, you took time’ I’m sorry, this is just absolutely ridiculous — I can only imagine what he would do(in terms of charging silly, random amounts) if he had already done work on some of my clothes. He is rude, and just not someone you want to deal with.

I have lived in East Midtown for almost 9 years now and it took me until now to find a tailor that I trust. You need to have a relationship with your tailor, he must know what you like and like you enough to want to execute it how you like it. This is my place, he’s my dude. I write this review after having 2 suits and 4 shirts tailored. Speedy work. Cash only. Seems to be a family owned place, the only two people I’ve ever see working here are an older Korean man(the tailor) and his wife. Very nice people!
