Best tailor in NYC! So happy I found him After searching all over midtown, upper east, etc I finally found Yani and so happy I did. Not only was he able to do a tailoring job that half the places said they can’t do. His prices are also about 30−40% less. And he’s such a nice, friendly, warm man. I’ll be bringing all my stuff here from now on Love Yani!

Yani is very nice, friendly and yes, talkative. His dry cleaning prices are reasonable and his tailoring prices are the best in the area. He’s done a few«take in’s» for my boyfriends suits to avoid buying new ones and the job is decent. It’s not going to be seamless as a brand new suit but he did a good enough job it’ll pass with a nice pressing with a hot iron. He’s been in the neighborhood forever. I think he gave me a discount for paying in cash or for bringing multiple items to be laundered/tailored. Bulk is nice and I always do a lot of dry cleaning. I would go to him again, his friendly nature and reasonable prices make it a definite«YES» in my wallet. The only cheaper place is to go to Chinatown, and I feel like he’s more reliable and who wants to trek down there to get their garments anyhow! Thanks Yani!

Yani is an adorable old man who tells me stories. About the good old days, about his former tailor empire of Manhattan, about his son’s curious taste in women.(Wish I were joking.) His work is really, really good. Except when it’s not, which is why I can completely see how the other two reviews are one 5-star and one 1-star. Dry cleaning is pretty cheap because of the service he uses, and it purports to be «green». From what I can tell, this means that they at least use less chemicals. The things I’ve gotten back from here have been clean, but not super crisp/starchy. This is the trade-off, and I’ll take it. He’s hemmed suits, skirts, my fancypants bday dress — which had pleats and multiple layers — in silk, wool, cotton… and he’s done a great job on the vast majority of them. Although he swore up and down he would recover this button that went missing on a purple silk shirt, it came back in brown…(??) And often I have to find my own cleaning/tailoring on the rack. But he hemmed this silk halter top clearly using the old school mannequin because I thought it was uneven when I looked at it, but after trying it on, I saw he had taken into account how it would drape when on the body and it was Perfect. If I had some extra cash lying around, I would have a suit made by him, especially based on that last job he did. So you have to listen to some stories when you go in there… his prices are on par with, and sometimes a bunch less than, the others in the area such that I keep coming back, even after moving to Brooklyn.(My office is a few blocks away.) 3.5 stars

Until he fixes his shitty job on my designer summer dresses, I will raise hell forever.
