No No No. Yes this location is convenient but that were it ends. I WAS parking here 2x a week and there were always minor issues like change missing, trying to get me to pay my SUV oversize vehicle surcharge in cash and then insisting I pay for the day with a CC (suspicious) and annoying employees trying to flirt. But they cross the line when they scratched my mirror and then tried to play it off, and then insinuating that it wasn’t a big deal and I can afford to get it fixed. Left there level 10 PISSED.

DO NOT PARK HERE!!! THEY WILL DAMAGE YOUR CAR AND NOT TAKE RESPONSIBILITY.
I CALLED THE COPS WHEN THEY DAMAGED MY CAR AND REFUSED TO TAKE RESPONSIBILITY. THE COPS ARRIVED (FROM THE 5TH PRECINCT ACROSS THE STREET) AND THOUGHT IT WAS FUNNY AND MADE LIGHT OF IT AND REFUSED TO WRITE UP A POLICE REPORT. I’ve never heard of NYPD refusing to write up a police report for a damaged vehicle. It’s absolutely absurd! I am pretty sure the cops at the 5^th PCT are on very friendly terms with this parking garage – if you know what I mean.
Here is the backstory:
I was cleaning out my file cabinet and came across a file for the various complaints that I tried to make against this parking garage for damaging my brand new car and then failing to take responsibility for it. .
I parked my shiny new car at this garage like I did on many mornings when I drove in to work. When I went to pick up my car after work, I noticed that my entire bumper was scratched and had screw marks. I forgot to leave my car keys in the car and it appears that they must’ve used another vehicle to bump my car out of the way in order to get to the other cars.
They know what they did wrong. There was a sign that if you forget to leave your key, they will charge you $ 50 more. Well, they knew they messed up my car and did not even bother to ask for the $ 50. They were hoping that I’d jump into my car and just leave.
There was a man there that I see every single day. He claims to have never ever seen me before when I was trying to get them to acknowledge the damage. It was frustrating to say the least.
My younger brother also parked there and got his car damaged. They scratched his side mirror and also failed to take responsibility.
Take this as a warning people. These people will damage your car and will NOT take responsibility for it.
I have never gone back to this garage since. I’ve been parking there for over 20 years and they’ve lost my business over some small scratches that they’ve refused to take responsibility for.
I reported them to BBB and was also going to sue them in small claims court but decided that my time is more valuable than that. I am putting this out there so others can be forewarned!

Conveniently located garage if you plan on spending a few hours in and around Chinatown. The rate I was told this morning (11:15-ish) was $ 30/​hr or $ 35/​2hr (maybe because I was in an SUV?). You might as well get the 2hr rate just so you’re safe; I’m sure the rates are «cheaper» if you stay longer.
When you get here, drive all the way to the stop sign inside. An attendant will ask you how many hours you want to stay and he’ll give you the rate. From there, he’ll give you a ticket and you’re free to leave; someone will park your car for you. Picking your car up is just as easy. Walk back inside, give your ticket back, pay however much your total is, then wait for the attendant to call your vehicle up. I inspected my vehicle and fortunately did not have any scratches or dents. Nothing was missing, either.
The garage has a capacity of only 14 vehicles according to one of the signs, so if this one is full, I suggest heading to another nearby garage. There should be another garage a few yards away. If you’re concerned about your personal belongings, you have a few options: Park at the Automotion garage on the corner of Baxter and Hester, bring them with you, or don’t bring any unnecessary valuables at all.

Beware of scam!
The garage employees asked me for a $ 20 parking fee in cash and then told me I needed to pay the hourly rate by credit card. In other words, the employees were illegally trying to charge me an extra $ 20.
There is another garage on Elizabeth just north of Canal and one other garage just around the corner on Mulberry next to Columbus park.

Go elsewhere. They do not honor their claim that they accept competitor’s pricing. $ 30 for almost 2 hours.

For a weekday, this is one of the cheapest garages I could find… park here before 11am and leave before midnight, it’s $ 18. Service was fast and swift.

Agree with other review, pretty brusque service, these folks don’t mess around with slow driving. Still, after using this garage for years, we have never had a problem except a misunderstanding or two about how much we should be charged. Very convenient spot, which makes me a fan, for Chinatown shopping and being just off Canal St. it is easy to find via nav system. A great spot to park if you don’t mind a bit of a walk to the main eastside subway stops, certainly nicely populated streets around it if you are a lady and worried about safety.

Brusque service, they drive relatively quickly.
This is a fairly expensive garage. A half-​hour for $ 10 and two for $ 27. Close to everything in Chinatown, though.
Lousy garage design. One way one entrance, other way is a one-​lane two-​way.
