Really classy, rare find in a mostly desolate, Starbucks-filled neighborhood. We ordered a gen mai cha green tea and a a latte with coconut milk. They have so many non-dairy milk options which is awesome(including macadamia milk and coconut milk). Both the tea and the latte were a little weak. We also got the sea salt brownie which was an amazing combination of really light and really chewy — highly recommended. The seating situation is a little sparse — they have two tall tables in the window(8 seats total) and two park-styles benches inside. Better than nothing! We enjoyed people-watching behind the plants.

My girlfriend took me to this awesome place in midtown. I ordered espresso which was very very dark, they use a different brand of coffee that’s really good. I’m tired of most of the coffee shops in NYC because they use the beans of Stumptown, Culture Coffee, Vitta, bla bla… SO it is refreshing to taste other coffee from others roasters! MY girlfriend got the Kyoto, which is supposed to be their bestseller, and it was really fantastic. Clean, still strong, not acidic, smooth and refreshing. Highly recommend this place!

Nice flat white. Hip place. No seating or wifi. Not for working. Take out joint, out good for quick midday coffee in the neighborhood.

I loved the open windows and plants! Lots of treats and samples. A couple bummers: no bathroom, and the cold in house tea was overly bitter-steeped too long.

I really liked the ambience. I just got off from greyhound and I came here for a coffee. I really liked the seating and how people enjoyed what they were doing at that time. I ordered a coffee with milk. It was right on, I liked it!

The pound cake goes great with their kyoto coffee. Its a cold brew drip that takes an entire day to prepare. They’re coffee is on the pricier side but totally worth it if you’re trying to savor the flavor.

Love the espresso/lattes from this place, just excellent and was the best in the hood. My only issue is the high price and lack of rewards that other places give you(Starbucks, Gregorys). They used to have a 10-stamp card that would get you a free bev. But wouldn’t you know it… they decided to stop using those cards when mine was nearly filled. Gregory’s opened around the corner and is probably giving them competition. At least that’s where I’m going now.

Since last weekend I began to really fall in love with flat white and am trying various coffee shops these days to look for a better one comparable with laughing man in TriBeCa. Ramini definitely belongs to that group. Got in right before 720 so there aren’t that many of people. I quickly got attracted by their inside decoration — with broken wall and mirrors, interesting! The skinny flat white smoothly melt in my mouth the second I took my first sip, however the scent stayed. It was definitely the top three flat whites that I have tried. Haven’t tried yet but their macarons also look delicious to me.

I purchased a soy capuchin with a shot of their homemade vanilla syrup. I really enjoyed it. The vanilla adds a nice subtle sweetness to the coffee. The total price was 4.50 for a 10oz cup.

I work right next door to this lovely little café and I frequent it daily. Their coffee is wonderful and it’s always preparers beautifully by friendly and kind baristas. They all know what they’re going and really care about getting your order right. Lunch usually ends up being soup from Ramini as well. I have my favorites and Rami knows what they are and always lets me know what he’ll be serving and when. All the soups are also labeled as «dairy free» «vegan» «gluten free» etc, according to each recipe which is really nice. I have dietary restrictions and I love not having to badger waiters and baristas with my questions. Delicious soups, healthy and natural recipes. Some organic but not all. All in all a wonderful place!

I absolutely LOVE coffee from Ramini’s! I have to admit that I’m a bit of a coffee snob, and the first time I had one of their skim lattes, I was in heaven. It was the very smooth, silky yet rich and bold flavor of their espresso that makes me shell out $ 5 every morning. The staff is also really friendly — and I guess because I’m there a lot that they already know my order… LOL My new coffee love from this place is their Kyoto cold brew — it can be a little expensive($ 6.25 for a large), but I assure you that it will be the best $ 6.25 you’ll spend for the rest of the day. It has a complex flavor — low acidity, has some smoky tea notes as an aftertaste — that I prefer drinking it black. Although the place is small, it’s a really cute shop and it’s actually very peaceful — some coffee shops are pumping music in the background — and this place doesn’t! It’s a nice reprieve from the hustle and bustle of 8th Avenue… only downside is that they close at 5pm…:( I’ve never had any of their pastries yet, but eventually will try one of these days! The fact that this place is only across the street from my job makes this place even more tempting to go there whenever chance I get.(I totally blame my trainer for introducing me to this place… lol)

Ordered a iced soy chai latte. It was ok, but i will not order it again. It has a strong cardamom and cinnamon taste. I prefer more of a ginger taste, but that’s just my personal preference. The baristas were nice and made sure to remind the person making my latte to use soy milk as I mentioned my milk preference later. I’ve had their cold brew before, and I like that so much better. The cold brew is very smooth and less acidic then regular coffee.

They serve great teas… The little down side is that it’s closing at 5PM. Next time I will try their coffee for sure. They even have one of those Kyoto cold brew towers.

The Matcha almond cookie($ 2.25) was as excellent as the staffer promised. Will definitely be back for Doughnut Project minis and some other great baked goods.

I’m in New York for the week — staying close by. I was trying to choose between Ramini and Best Bagels, and I chose here b/c its alittle closer. Cute shop. Get can get free coffee & $ 10 credit for coffee/tea here with the code«F V V 5 X», input that code when you download the CUPS app.

Really beautiful spot for a very solid espresso right in the Garment District. The inside of the bar is beautiful with patchy exposed brick. The counter staff were quiet and reserved but very friendly and knowledgeable. All of the espresso drinks were comparably priced with high end craft coffee bars($ 4+) and they even have a large Kyoto! The pastries looked wonderful and I will definitely be coming back for that espresso brownie… I personally got an iced mocha and it was WONDERFUL.

Ramini Espresso Bar and Café NY Midtown West 4pm Thursday 2nd April 2015 3 Stars It’s a pretty small space but there was a decent dozen people waiting in line. The girl in front of me said that she likes artesianal coffee but is only willing to pay $ 4 a cup because $ 5 and over is too expensive. Her friend was just smiling and nodding because she went next door to Dunkin. The line moved very quickly. I ordered the Kyoto instead of an espresso drink because of the 50 degree weather outside and the novelty of it. It costs $ 6.25 for 22 oz, which was like $ 2 more than the standard iced coffee). Kyoto Coffee is a super slow drip coffee that takes about 12 – 14 hours to brew. It supposedly less acidic and more aromatic. Unfortunately I am was underwhelmed by it. It was still astringent but less oily. I think if I go back I will get a cappuccino. They offer two sizes for the pastries, regular and mini. It’s a brilliant idea since everyone was just a little snack. I had a mini Nutella croissant. It was a bit hard and not very filled with the delicious hazelnut chocolate I was desiring.
