Have to update the happy hour situation, since prior reviews are no longer relevant. The current happy hour deal is large size beers at the small size beer price. Which tends to cut $ 2-$ 3 off. The layout and décor of the place is fine. Unfortunately, it was kind of loud for a Sunday evening and the music(albeit good) was blasting, making it hard to talk to my friend. The bigger issue here is the service. The place seems poorly managed. The shortest time I waited to order any of my beers was approximately 15 minutes, and this when the counter area was never more than half occupied. The bartender disappeared for multiple long stretches of time(to smoke?) and apparently the bar back took over for parts of these breaks. The bar back tried to take my friend’s beer when he still had an ounce or two left, which is an especially bad move when you’re still paying nearly $ 9/beer during happy hour. What’s worse, the bar back was more piqued than my friend. I might stop by in a year or two to check if the place is being run any better

Great beer selection, but the food isn’t great. Service was pretty good. Very accommodating. I’d go back for beers, not food.

Terrible service. The bartender was rude and the overall experience with the staff was bad.

Great beverages, but HORRIBLE service. We were served an incredibly overpriced child sized Bloody Mary that we never ordered. Had to practically beg the bartender to serve us a beer, and got poor attitude on the side. The music is top notch 80s punk, but I won’t ever come back.

Great selection! Expert beertenders! Bangin music and hotties! A Beer Map to explain the universe! What’s there not to like; it’s like the parties we used to throw at the Boston frat house, but all grown up. Almost all.

Beautiful restaurant! Love the lightning and décor. I had the fried chicken sandwich and it was really good with a little kick! My husband had the ribs and lived them. A few beers and a nice evening. Great place to hang out. Not to loud, great for a dinner with friends. Will definitly recommend and go back!

This is my third time eating at a Randolf establishment. I have visited the Brooklyn location and liked the first experience but the second was a not a pleasurable experience. Last night me and a friend wanted to have a girls night and I suggested the Randolph because I was a fan of their fried chicken sandwich.(The Brooklyn Location Brunch Sandwich taste better) As soon as I arrived I was greeted by the nicest host Jay. He promptly seated us and told us to enjoy ourselves. We opted to eat at the bar and the bartender was a nice young guy by the name of nils he was diligent and conversed with us a bit, and added to the welcome feeling. We placed our order and received our calamari promptly and the server, a young man in a hoody and baseball cap was delivered our food. He offered to get us a sauce and I asked for a second serving of the green and white sauce and he gave me the most hateful look. He then walked into the back took his phone out and came back behind the bar and started texting. I didn’t know what to say but he was obviously making a point that he was not going to serve us a second helping of sauce. About an hour in me and my friend started conversing with a group of local artist. The party of 4 and my original party of 2 stood neatly in front of the bar talking about NYC life. The same server walked by several times telling us that we were in the way and he has only a small walk way to pass through. He had so much hostility that these young men opted for only one drink and they commented that they were offended by the rudeness and several loud sighs and bumps of the server. I would understand if it was a busy night but it was very empty. I am not sure if asking for a refill warranted that type of attitude by he has a huge one and it was not comfortable. I don’t think I will be coming back.

Boozy brunch is on point. Brunch punch is much better than the name implies(I was thinking jungle juice type slop, this was instead very refreshing albeit sweet). Service and food were both good.

Brunch review. Came here with a big group for a bottomless brunch. One important thing to note is if you elect to do the bottomless brunch(approx $ 30), everyone at your table must participate. Tough rule, but I get it. The reason being is because they give out PITCHERS of cocktails as part of the bottomless deal. They had punch, mimosas, Bloody Mary’s and various beers as part of the deal. The bloodys were solid — good quality for a place that would serve in a pitcher. You can get pretty drunk here. As for the food, very good brunch hungover food. Breakfast nachos: probably sounds better than they are, but they are still very good. I got the shrimp and grits, which was great and a solid portion and nice sized shrimp. My girlfriend had the garden burger, which looked amazing. Definitely a great brunch spot. I Look forward to coming back with a group and trying some more entrees.

Rustic atmosphere and good food. The only negative thing I have to say is that our server never told us the time limit on bottomless brunch and when she came to the table she didn’t offer to refill our glasses when we were in the time limit. She did notice we were upset that we didn’t get a refill and didn’t know about the time limit, so she gave us free brunch punch shots. Other than that the food was good, service was eh.

Brought my girlfriend here on the memory of excellent burgers and was disappointed with a dry mediocre burger. Also they used to have a beer and burger for $ 17, but instead it was $ 27…and not very good :( Also the bartender was unfriendly.

Randolph Beer exceeded my expectations. I tend to avoid bottomless brunch joints on Saturdays and Sundays, but I found myself at Randolph Beer for a reunion with an old friend and co. and I was pleasantly surprised. The ambience was great, and not the rowdy type of atmosphere you find in the Lower East Side at brunch time. One waiter patrolled the floor and did it wonderfully. The interior décor was relaxing and fit the mood of a sunny, autumn day. The dark wood tables and red leather chairs and lighting were great in my opinion. Inside it was darker but the front entrance was all glass and created a nice atmosphere. I had several bloody marys, which were perfect, especially for an already-brewed drink. The bottomless brunch menu also had cider(very crisp and light, like a green apple) and beer. Finally, the food left everyone quiet and happily chomping on pulled pork and has browns(see picture!), a po’ boy sandwich, and fluffy egg whites with seasonal veggies. Not to mention the waffle fries. I had a burger which was exquisite(except for the wet bottom bun bit). Needless to say, the experience was a-mazing.

I came here because my sister said they have the best veg burger I will ever have — so good that it’s better than a meat burger! It certainly was not disappointing! The veg burger was quite delicious, and while definitely better than most meaty burgers I’ve had, it’s not better than the best meat burger I’ve had. It is, however, the best veg burger I’ve had, and would come again for it!

*it appears I had the wrong business. Unilocal doesn’t allow me to completely delete the review, which is a bit weird. I’m adding a star to neutralize the rating. But really, who cares about Unilocal it is actually totally irrelevant these days.

I came here for a friend’s birthday brunch with a party of 8. The big draw with a group our size was the unlimited brunch cocktails option($ 35 for entrée + unlimited drinks) that includes your standard brunch cocktails(mimosas/bloodys/brunch punch) but also includes some craft beer options. In order to do this deal, the entire table must participate(except, obviously, if a member of the party is under 21, as was the case with our group. They accommodated this with no issues). For drinks, our group first tried the mimosas, the bloody marys, the brunch punch, and the cider. The cocktails were brought to the table in pitchers, making refills quick and plentiful. They were also accommodating when individuals switched cocktails or beer throughout brunch. The IPA of the day was the Ithaca Flower Power, which is a very solid beer that I would order regularly, so it was great to know this was included in the unlimited deal, especially as the beers on the regular menu are a bit on the expensive side. For food, I ordered the chopped chicken and avocado salad, and others in the group ordered the pulled pork hash, breakfast nachos, the burger, the French toast, and a side of waffle fries. The salad was well put together and had a lot of interesting components. The salad was not too sweet either, despite the apple, dried cranberry, and pear vinaigrette components — the vinegar, avocado and the chicken tempered this well. The pulled pork hash and the waffle fries were probably my favorite dishes of the meal. The waffle fries are flavored well and come with several interesting sauces to try. Overall, this was a great experience and I would recommend this place. The food, drinks, and service were excellent and I will definitely be returning for brunch and also to try dinner!

Beer was good and the décor/atmosphere was awesome, but really should have saved this place for a more special occasion, considering the price tag. I ordered the evil sprout which was like — PITCHBLACK probably because of the sauce? Unsure because the brussel sprouts themselves are so bitter. I am hoping that it wasn’t because it was burnt to a crisp. My mind and tastebuds were really having a debate, but was still a bit turned off with the burnt taste. I enjoyed the sauce for the chicken empanadas, but itself wasn’t really that interesting — no pops of flavor just plainly cooked white pieces of chicken. Unsure if I would come back for the food, but service and beer were on par.

This place is pretty awesome but the bar is a bit expensive even though the beer is really good. So i had a few different beers throughout the night — one of the specials was this one called the«Void of Light» a super dark stout beer that was so dark the foam was not your amber colored head, but almost purplish. But extremely flavorful and rich! The best thing here though is the Shishito Peppers and french fries in terms of food. I’m a huge fan of simple shishito peppers and the french fries are waffle cut fries. My absolute favorite! So voila! Come for those. The place is small with the front area for general seating for food and the back is the entire bar with some high tables that are pretty cramp together. It was a tuesday we all came here and it wasn’t crowded at all — but if it were a friday i’m sure it would be packed and uncomfortable.(I’m old, leave me alone)

Bottom line: hidden gem, great for the craft beer nuts, food is amazing for a bar setting, good vibrations. This has become our unofficial weekly gathering spot — located in the outskirts of Chinatown. The vibe here is great, it is never too crowded to grab a seat around dinner time but has enough customers to make the place feel buzzy and alive. Great craft beer selection on tap with rotating specials throughout the week — don’t worry if you are unfamiliar, they have a useful quadrant to guide you and the servers are friendly and knowledgeable to consult. Food is surprisingly good for a bar kitchen, the highlights for me are Evil Sprouts and Fried Chicken Thighs in the small plates and Chicken Pot Pie and the Grain & Kale salad. This is an especially good place for a group after work, the booths can probably seat 4 – 6 and longer tables seat up to 8, the bar is long and a lot of people can hang out around the same area inside.

Get to the Chase: Pros: 1) FANTASTIC IPAs, stouts, and beers of all sorts! From fruit beers, to brandy cask-aged IPAs or dark stouts! 2) Uuuuuhmazing food! I mean wow, their kitchen delivered one of the best Bangers and mashes I’ve had in a while(and I lived in London for 12 years), and their chicken pot pie was fit for a King of Westeros! 3) Decent amont of seating 4) Great mix of people(late 20’s to early 30’s I’d say) some clear manhattanites with a sprinkle of hipster 5) Good location to bar hop or pre-game Cons: 1) Hostess was clueless and rude; Said we could not sit unless we ordered food(despite ordering a tab of probably $ 150 of drinks), while the other host was kind enough to show us to an empty table in the back. 2) Can get a bit chaotic trying to order food since there are no waiter you’ll have to compete with the throng of people waiting at the bar for drinks 3) I’m not a sensitive banana, but the bartenders looked peeved every time I ordered some more drinks… maybe the way I did it? Who knows… I tipped 22% so that couldn’t be it.

In an attempt to sit outside after opening a tab at the bar, the waitress informed us that outside and the front had table service. I amicably closed my tab and tried to sit outside. However, the waitress still seemed to have an issue with this when explaining what I already understood, that there was table service outside. The craft beer selection is good, although prices are from medium to high(for example, $ 9 for 10 oz. of a non-special release(Founders) imperial stout). At least for Happy Hour, draft beers are $ 3 off, which actually then makes the bar a great deal. The brussels sprouts were a bit overdone and charred, but worse of all, were too sweet from a heavy dose of glaze. Bartender service was mediocre. They generally seemed unaware of those waiting for service at the bar. Service was a bit slow, despite the bar not being particularly busy.
