Raymour and Flanigan Furniture

Great customer service. I went there to get a new mattress and the manager was pretty helpful. The furniture is pretty old school, some things are way too big for NY apartments. Good selection of mattresses but not huge.

Came here last week to order a mattress with my mother and restless son. Needless to say our sales woman was very nice, friendly and patient even at 7pm when we came into the store. She offered my son ice cream to help with him being sleepy and I ordered my BeautyRest Black mattress which I am very pleased with as it arrived today.

We placed a special order for a 3-​piece sectional on October 26. On December 9, we received the call that our order had arrived and we scheduled delivery for Saturday, December 13. We were told that that we would receive a call on Friday to confirm a 4-​hour timeframe for delivery. We were excited about having our new furniture for the holidays and especially pleased with a Saturday delivery date. That afternoon we made arrangements to have our old furniture removed. On Friday December 12, we were expecting a call to confirm the delivery window but what we got instead was a call stating that Saturday delivery was not available. The customer service rep said that she made mistake by offering us a delivery appointment for that day. I was slightly annoyed but hey, everyone makes mistake. I was able to make some adjustments to my work schedule and we set a new delivery day for Monday December 15. On Saturday December 13, we received a call that the sales associate placed the order incorrectly. Two of the 3 pieces of our sectional was order correctly but the third piece was not. We were given the option of taking the order as is or waiting another 6 – 8 weeks for the correct 3^rd piece. We were certainly annoyed but patient and gracious. We told them to order the correct piece but made the request that all pieces be delivered together. As I’m sure you understand, a 3 piece sectional will not really work with only 2 pieces and we needed our furniture set-​up to work during the holiday season. Our current furniture while old and somewhat worn was more than capable of getting us through another holiday season.
On December 21, we received a call to schedule a delivery appointment because our order had arrived. Needless to say we were somewhat suspicious and with a little probing discovered that the call was in reference to the 2 pieces that arrived earlier in the month. At that time we reiterated our request to have all pieces delivered at once. Once again, somewhat annoyed but I’ve decided to be Zen about this process.
On Tuesday January 20, a sales associate called to say that the final piece has arrived. Happy days are here again! We scheduled a delivery date for Friday January 23 and once again made arrangements to have our old furniture removed. On Thursday January 22, we received a call confirming the delivery time. As per usual, the necessary adjustments were made to work schedules. At 5:12pm the delivery house called and confirmed the delivery time. All systems were go for all of 62 minutes. At 6:14pm we received a call stating that the delivery time that was confirmed by both the customer service rep and the delivery house was not available. After being less than understanding and gracious this time, the sales associate finally acknowledged their mistake by yet again scheduling an unavailable delivery time. I will readily acknowledge that in all of our interactions, staff have been have been courteous and respectful.
I only wish they were better able to do their jobs. If this were not a special order we would walk away. However, we’re not willing to just give them our 20% deposit as a reward for their incompetence. This is first and last time we will ever do business with Raymour & Flanigan.

If I could give them negative stars I would. One of the worst shopping experiences I’ve ever had.

I called ahead to this location as I was looking at a specific model online and I wanted to be sure they had it in the store. They said they did and the man I spoke to on the phone insisted I find him when I came in the store. (I did not, as I don’t like pushy sales people.)
Of course the store did not have that model at that location. And what’s more I was met with not one but two pushy and inappropriate male sales associates. One followed me around the store even after I’d said I was only browsing, and then later asked him to leave me alone. (p.s. isn’t «browsing» the universal shopper signal for leave me alone or at least have a light touch?)
After saying directly to another male sales associate that I did not want an aggressive sales experience, he gave me a lascivious up-​and-​down body scan, said, «Don’t worry I move slow,» and wagged his eyebrows at me.
Both stores I visited had female greeters but only male sales staff.
At one store, a white male sales associate said to another male sales associate who appeared to be of Indian (or perhaps another south asian) decent, «It’s, like, India hot today!» At which point the Indian (?) sales associate sort had to force himself to not roll his eyes and just slinked away to another part of the store.
Honestly the whole experience was so filled with racism, sexism, and just inappropriate and unprofessional behavior that I will never ever give them my money. and you shouldn’t either.

Delay in deliveries
And they charge for it
And phone operator doesn’t give a bit
Never again

A company like Raymore and Flanigan should have many reviews on Unilocal.Somehow they are able to get negative reviews removed. I do not expect this review the last on Unilocal for very long.
I am on my third replacement recliner from Raymore and Flanigan. All three of these recliners were made in China. They are cheap junk. I was able to find a recliner that I hoped would be the least objectionable on my third try. It was $ 300 cheaper then the first recliner I purchased from them but they refuse to refund the balance.
I would urge anyone considering shopping at Raymore and Flanigan to go elsewhere.

I consider myself to be a bit of a furniture snob, having worked in luxury design brands during my career. Never in my life did I think I would set foot in a Raymour & Flanigan, but current financial circumstances required me to bend my rules a bit.
I had developed some issues with my back and needed to replace our current modern loveseat with one with plush and firmer seat cushions. Unfortunately, I didn’t have the thousands of dollars to invest at a high-​end retailer, and the pieces I saw and tried at Crate & Barrel, CB2, West Elm, while my preferred aesthetic, didn’t provide the physical comfort I required.
So it was with a bit of skepticism that I walked into the new Raymour & Flanigan at the Fulton Mall. It is a large space and, there was furniture everywhere, which was a bit overwhelming, but a lot of it was nicer than expected: some more modern pieces with interesting prints.
What I found most surprising was the level of service. My consultant, John, was WONDERFUL. He was patient, not pushy, and extremely knowledgeable. He allowed me to take photographs, take measurements, and gave me space and time to call my husband to discuss options.
I finally settled on a loveseat that I felt was a blend of a modern style with traditional comfort, that cost $ 850. After that, John led me to the Raymour & Flanigan customer service area where I made arrangements for delivery. I work during the week, so they were very amenable to my need for a Saturday delivery. During the week between purchase and delivery, I was contacted a number of times to confirm my information, date of delivery and the timeframe, and I had some additional questions myself, which they answered in a friendly and timely manner. The delivery men were also very professional and gave the type of white-​glove service I never imagined possible with this company. And the loveseat looks and feels great in our living room.
I have pushed my snobbery aside. From purchase to delivery, my experience was really good. I know this is a new Raymour & Flanigan location, and I sincerely hope they continue this level of service. I also hope to enjoy the loveseat for a long time.
