Roberto Bezjon

I was a walk-​in and just wanted a shampoo, blow dry and style out. The shampoo was wonderful and included a scalp massage. The Blow dry and style looked lovely, I will return for a cut next time, reasonable prices.

Great place, easy and low key spot to get a haircut. Roberto did an excellent job and was pleasant person to chat with.

The JW Essex House referred me to Roberto. Loved the experience, the hair and makeup, and Roberto!!! I will always build in time to see him whenever I’m in town.

I have been going to Mikio for over ten years now, having followed him from a previous salon. Altough it’s quite a schlep since I’ve moved to Connecticut, it’s still well worth the time and effort. I have curly salt & pepper hair with difficult cowlicks. Most barbers and stylists look at men’s hair and think that a short haircut is easy. I’ve endured plenty of bad haircuts over the years, but Mikio’s haircuts always grow in flawlessly. I’d follow Mikio anywhere.

My hairstylist is Rick, he’s an old friend of my husband and a great hair stylist. I am new to NY and I am very picky when it comes to my hair. He’s cut my hair 3 times already this year and I’ve loved every cut! About 5 months ago I dyed it for the very first time in my life and I went to Rick for a ombré look. It came out GREAT! I still get compliments about my color and hair cut.
Granted he is located in the heart of Manhattan, so it is a bit pricy. But you will not be disappointed. I come all the way from Long Island to have Rick cut my hair.
Everyone working in this salon is friendly and nice. The owner is professional and keeps his salon very clean.

I’ve been going to Roberto since I moved to NY 2.5 years ago and I love him! He is so great at what he does and such a classy man. He makes my day every time I visit. He is doing my trial hair and make up for my wedding right now as I write this is, and without any doubt I know he will make me the most beautiful bride. He is the best.

I’ve been going to Junko for several years and will never stop, I’ve lived all over the USA and can say without a doubt she is the best hair stylist I’ve ever encountered. I feel fortunate to have found her. I’m a guy and usually guys don’t receive compliments about their hair like a female does, especially when I keep my hair very short.
After my first haircut, I was sold. I went to work the next day and people actually noticed the difference. They noted how even and balanced it was. Junko is very careful and detailed. Even when she’s done if she sees something that isn’t «perfect» she takes the time to make it so. I never feel rushed and as an added unrelated bonus she is a kind and pleasant person that is always cheerful. As I said at the beginning, I will never go to anyone else.
I’ve referred several friends, coworkers, etc. (both male/​female) and all of them rave about what a great job she does.
I’ve also heard good things about Igor (he does the shampoo). My friend had a headache when she arrived at the salon. After he washed her hair and massaged her scalp the headache went away.

Passed by today and thought I’d get a cut. Just so you know, I’m a 21 year old guy with short hair. I usually style it swept over to my left — but recently it hasn’t been sitting properly or styling as I wish so I thought I’d go get a cut.
From beginning to end, the experience here was phenomenal.
Roberto was amazing. He washed my hair, it was very relaxing but at the same time you could see he was really putting effort in to give it a good clean. Then there was the cut. I was amazed at the precision of which he was cutting my hair. He was so focused and zoned in, I was amazed. We didn’t talk the entire time — I was just watching in awe of how caring he was. Every strand of hair, he wanted it perfect. He even advised me on how my hair should be styled — it turned out that I was having it swept over to the wrong side of my face. He was right, my hair sits so tidier now.
Roberto is the man! He takes such pride in his work. I felt like I was a piece of art, and he was perfecting it.
Honestly. I was blown away by how much he cared.
The cut was $ 50 and he didn’t leave me an option to tip him. He just said that the tip isn’t needed.
I felt bad and was unsure, but he insisted.
I will be back once my hair needs another chop!

I had to find a new hairstylist recently, since my last one moved away. I’ve known Rick for years and always knew he was a good hairdresser. He’s a color specialist, (and he’s amazing at it) so I guess I just forgot how good he really is at doing men’s haircuts.
These last two cuts are the best I’ve had in years.
Even though the salon is in midtown and I live in Brooklyn, looking this good is worth the train ride!

Everytime I go in to get my hair blown out, I leave feeling like a million dollars. It last for over 2 days and I get compliments from everyone. Roberto always gives me a classic blow out or always knows how to style my hair and make up for any event. I have recommended all my friends to Roberto Bezjon Salon and would never go anywhere else. If you want to get your hair done, this is the place to go. 5 stars!!!

No one does my hair better than Rick :)

HORRIFIED. I won’t say which stylist cut my hair, because they had cut my hair at another salon for a while and I’m still in shock about what happened here.
One, the owner has a habit of calling women «Honey» and «Darling» like we’re idiots.
I was in a bit early, the shampoo was lackluster, as if she could barely be bothered. My stylist was with another client who repeatedly had to ask to shorten their hair more and was visibly trying not to get upset.
In the next chair, another stylist was blow drying a client’s bob, who repeatedly said she was hurting her with the brush as she did it.
I had a gut instinct to leave and ignored it.
My turn. I had a picture of a simple short bob with long bangs. I had a bit of a shag in the back and distinctly said take it off. I repeatedly said to take length off. «You’ll be sorry», I was told, but with no details or advice on why! I got side-​swept bangs and a blow dry that looked like a bob.
The next morning I woke up, showered and faced the mirror to find myself WITH THE SAME CUT I WENT IN WITH, duck tail and all.
I was furious, most of all at the deceit, and called to salon. They were belligerent but offered to fix it, which I rejected, based on all the above. I intend to file a BBB complaint and get my $$ back.

[Went to a $ 20 walk-​in place in my neighborhood uptown. New stylist was appalled and said I never got a bob, the layers were all wrong and hard. Considering what he had to work with – he’s a genius and saved me. I was really impressed he walked over before I got shampooed, checked my hair (for dryness) and told the girl to wash only once). And I look great with shorter hair.]
UPDATE: FILED BBB COMPLAINT, GOT FULL REFUND.

FINALLY — a place and stylist that really knows how to cut hair and what looks good on a person. My stylist was Junko. She.Is.Awesome.
I went in there ready for anything. I was sick of having long hair and ready to take the plunge to short hair. This salon is kinda fancy pants. The neighborhood, it overlooks Central Park and is in the Trump Bldg. I’m never in this area so I was a little overwhelmed by the tourists and the money but got over it quickly.
Junko took the time to talk to me about what I wanted, made recommendations and told me the truth about what would look good. A bob it was. But super cool and angled w/​o being hipster cool girl (no offense to all the hipster cool girls, I just can’t pull that off).
My hair looked amazing, I was so happy and so surprised lol because i don’t normally have good hair experiences. Junko was so sweet and easy to talk to. The salon itself is really nice and clean too. The prices may be higher than others but I have learned my lesson — you get what you pay for and it was soooo worth it.
