I brought two paintings I picked up while traveling. One was an oil painting on canvas I bought in Rio. I went in with an idea of what I wanted. Hamed offered his advice and showed me different options and was very patient during the entire process. I never felt rushed and greatly appreciated his advice and ability to provide it without being pushy. I will entrust him with all my future framing needs. I have used many picture framers before with a varying degree of satisfaction. But no experience has been as pleasant as the one I got after getting a print framed at ROOQ. Jawed was very nice, relaxed and professional. His framing and mounting recommendations were perfect and I couldn’t be happier with the final piece. Even all small details from the backing paper to the felt feet to protect your wall impressed me. I already dropped off two more pieces to get framed.

I can’t imagine having a much better framing experience than I had with Rooq. I spent a couple of months passively getting quotes for a large (45×60) print and everything was priced pretty high. By chance, I stumbled into Rooq and was instantly taken aback by the customer service. The person who spoke with me was able to quickly give me a fair, no nonsense price and it was cheaper than any other I got. On top of that, they went out of their way to get 4 total prints done in literally 1 day! When I went to pick them up, they were beautifully done and two employees even helped carry them out to my car. I’ll 100% be back to Rooq and give it the highest recommendation for anyone looking to inexpensively frame without sacrificing quality.

I cannot recommend these guys enough. Their prices are reasonable for how much professional framing usually costs, but their attention to detail, concern for customer happiness, and willingness to go the extra mile for their clients no doubt sets them apart from any other framer I’ve used in the city. To give just one quick anecdote, they agreed to stay open an extra 45 minutes for me just so I could pick me piece up after a long day at work (after I had already paid for the work they had done, I should add). If you need something professionally framed, take it to ROOQ.

Highly recommend this place.
I brought a large art print to Hamed 3 days before Christmas hoping he could get in done in time. I knew very little about framing, but he patiently walked me through the process and helped me decide which options would best suit my artwork and my timeframe. He didn’t try to upsell me or push expensive or unnecessary options.
Not only did he get in done before Christmas, but he actually finished earlier than expected. The final product was beautiful and exactly as we discussed. I will definitely come here for my framing needs in the future.

I had a great experience at ROOQ. Hamed was very helpful and really took his time to make sure that I was happy with my decision. I was there for almost an hour deciding! I didn’t feel rushed or pressured at all and in the end I decided on something that I wouldn’t have found on my own. I also really appreciated that he was upfront about all cost factors, including the glass, matting and actual frame.

ROOQ ROCKS! We live in Chelsea and walk by all the time. Made the great choice to stop in when we bought a new piece of art. Rooq owner really helped sort through the options for matt, frame and glass. Good turn around time and most important… fantastic job at a competitive price. 100% will go back when we have more framing needs.

ROOQ was great! Quick turnaround, great service that really went above and beyond expectations, and excellent framing for about half the price of what I was looking at elsewhere. Very much appreciated, especially given the thorough and thoughtful consultation. I really appreciate that I went in interested in the most expensive glass option, and Hamed, who helped me, asked me what I was looking for and actually talked me down to a better, more affordable option. He also looked at the art and thought very purposefully about its effect and how to get a frame that would subtly embellish, but not overpower, the art.

ROOQ is the place to go if you need anything framed. I have been getting different pieces framed for a number of years. Everything from pricey pieces, to my children’s art. This place is AMAZING. After years of trying different frame shops in Manhattan, this is by far the best I have been to. The owner is highly knowledgeable and very friendly, and the quality of work is fantastic. Not to mention that the selection of frames is the best I have seen anywhere in NYC, with very reasonable prices. I will absolutely be getting everything framed here from now on.

I will write more later but this place is incredible. What beautiful space. But the real find is the staff. They have impeccable taste. The quality is superb at a very reasonable price. I used to use Chelsea Frames. I think Rooq is about half the price. I love it!

I just stopped by this place because it was a block away from me, but I have to say that the man who helped me was awesome.
I have no clue about frames, but he led me through the process and helped me pick out a great frame for a piece of art my godmother gave me.
Anyway, he’s great, the place is great and if you need a professional to frame your artwork, he’s your guy — his name is Ed.
