Awesome Asian food! They cater to my diet needs, making my food tasty while healthy. This was wonderful!

Sachi menu is a mixture of japanese, thai, and chinese. The dim sum is okay nothing that standouts. I normally come here for lunch with coworkers when we want dim sum without having to hike to chinatown. The prices are cheap and the service isn’t bad. The restaurant is clean. They have a full service bar inside.

Ordered delivery and it came in 20 min and the quality was fantastic. Rice was substantial and tasty, soul dumplings on point and sushi was standard. The delivery is really what sets this place apart, very quick.

The dumplings were great. The duck ramen was so NOT great. Super bland. The service is what gets this place the third star — staff is friendly and helpful.

I love Sachi! Absolutely get the Vietnamese lobster roll — it is completely delicious and refreshing, with just enough lobster to get your appetite going. The miso soup is tasty, all of the desserts are WONDERFUL and the grilled octopus has changed my feelings on eating meat. SOGOOD. However, when ordering the grilled octopus, be sure to order right away, as it can take about 15 minutes to cook. There is also a lovely color changing fountain display in the back of the restaurant that lends the entire place a fresh air feel with the sound of running water in the background. The staff is very friendly, prompt and patient as you read through the giant menu. This would be a great place to eat any time, but I will definitely be coming back when I need to impress a date. Very intimate atmosphere and warm lighting.

I came here to see what all the fuss was about and the best thing I had here was a grilled octopus which was actually quite good! However, this was a big no no: when i proceeded to get the check I noticed that the math was wrong, they had charged more for two different dishes and then the tip was already calculated for you but at 23.4% gratuity! Thats insane! From what I know, most people dont even match up the numbers and hand them their credit cards… From what I understand, if you are going to do business do an honest one… The food was okay though… Although more on the expensive side…

Sachi is one of the best lunch options, and overall restaurants in the Tudor City/East side area. I’ve worked in this area for over 5 years, so it’s fair to say I’ve tried most of the restaurants this area has to offer. Sachi hasn’t been around for all 5 years, but I’ve been going there for over a year now. I’ve never been here for dinner so I can’t comment on the night crowd, but I’d say I’m a regular(they remember my usual) for lunch. The lunch crowd picks up around 12:30, so it’s best if you get here closer to 12:00. I think the lunch specials officially start at 12:30 but they’re usually nice about extending those prices to people that come in early. My usual order is the pork belly ramen lunch special, it’s delicious and comes with your choice of soup or salad. Oh and it has bamboo in it! The staff moves quick(except sometimes with the check) and they are all very pleasant. If you work in the area, I highly recommend going here for lunch! Likes: Beautifully decorated Very nice waiting staff Good lunch specials Dislikes: My lacking skills with chop sticks(they do offer forks/spoons though)

Are people reviewing the décor or the food? We had the duck tacos, tuna tartare w/guacamole, crab shumai, house dumplings, longevity noodles, chicken satays, and red snapper. Duck tacos had way too much citrus on them, and I could barely taste the meat. Tuna tartare had too much wasabi and burned our mouths, though we could cancel it out with the superb guacamole and seaweed cracks. Crab shumai was a con — pretty sure they got these out of a microwave bag.(Ever go to actual dim sum in Chinatown? Then you know what shumai is supposed to look at). Chicken satays and noodles were absolutely delicious, though, along with the red snapper. We also ordered a flourless chocolate cake, but it ended up looking more like half a brownie, not a real slice. Why only 2 stars(rather than the 3 I’d give for the uneven food)? Service was definitely not great. Food brought out before water, third drink took a long time to come out, etc. Overall, it’s a bust.

4.5 Stars rounded up, best dinner I’ve had in awhile. We were served by the manager Bo, he’s extremely polite, three of us walked in at 7 into this modern, oriental but chic restaurant divided by wooden strip walls, the booths are huge and very comfortable. We were greeted by the sweetest waitress ever, and she offered me hot tea to start off the night. My coworker and I had red wine while our friend had white, the guacamole in an avocado AND spicy tuna tartar is to die for, the tempura seaweed actually goes well with the dippings, it’s crispy and left a nice numbing but cooling sensation in my mouth. The yellowtail with mango salad and a jalapeño on it, yum! The sashimi platter featured blue fin tuna, Alaskan king crab legs, otoro, salmon and yellowtail, very fresh and nice display. I loved how Bo refused to serve me uni because it’s from Maine and not the best they had that night. The handshook beef cubes, so tender and sweet, juicy and flavorful, how did they do that!!? We had lobster potstickers, like, I’d never even order these at an Asian fusion restaurant but these were so tasty, with meat AND lobster inside, the bottom is crispy while the skin on top made them look like steamed gyoza, they offered 3 sauces, garlic, spicy and soy. Perfect! Those pork tacos were ok, I took one bite to taste, but the rest of the meal took away the attention. At the end we had grilled curry giant prawns, a bit heavier than I’d liked, but still the flavors really made their way into the shrimp meat. The desserts are to die for, that crème brûlée, how come I didn’t try it earlier, oh that saseme icecream is like what they serve at Cha-an, but the brownie straight up melted in my mouth. It was a clean kind of sweet, not overwhelming, and didn’t taste like a pint of sugar worked into it. Overall great experience! I will be bringing friends.

I organized an analyst dinner/holiday party here a few weeks ago, and easily made a reservation on Opentable. In hindsight, I wish I had asked around more for rooms or circular tables, as they seated us at a long rectangular table – nothing wrong with that and the reservation went smoothly enough, but it was really hard talking to people. Probably stick with groups of 5 – 6 max, if you want to be seated at a nice booth and be able to talk to everyone. We were pretty late for our reservation(people kept coming in an hour or two after our reservation had started), and the service was very patient and phenomenal. However, there was some mix-up, as I had asked about drink discounts for such a big group(usually some places throw in a happy hour special or a free round of shots when celebrating something), and the lady on the phone had agreed to give us happy hour specials as we would be arriving only a half hour after happy hour would end. When we got there, I had to explain to the manager what happened, and he finally did give us a small discount on one round of wine/beer. Nothing to get us crazy about. The food came quickly, and again, the service PHENOMENAL. Unfortunately, my oink oink fried rice, which everyone raved about on Unilocal, was very mediocre – almost too salty to eat, even. I didn’t try others’ dishes, but they looked beautifully presented – not sure about how they tasted, though. Overall, it was a fine holiday party. I think it ended up being more of a formal dinner though… which was fine. Sachi is a little out of the way(far from any trains, really) to warrant coming again, though.

First time i went to this place it was Aquamarine… Now it’s SACHI! I came for lunch and ordered their specials. Pork Belly Penang Curry. The pork was delicious even without the curry. It was cooked really well. The meat and fat was just… Tender. The sauce does kick it up a notch though. It had the usual yummy peanut sauce taste and the awesome spiciness to it. Not too much but not too little, just enough. It comes with miso soup or a salad, i chose soup. It was okay. I also ordered dessert and got the flourless chocolate cake coz i wont get anything not chocolate ever… Unless free. Lol. The cake was okay, wont order it again. It came with a scoop of green tea ice cream and everything was sitting on a bed of chocolate syrup that tasted like Hersheys(i could be wrong, but that’s what it tasted like). Pretty good deal for an 11 – 13 dollar lunch. Will return and go through the rest of the menu eventually.

I always like to make reservations especially for tonight’s occasion… my friend Andrea G.‘s pre-birthday dinner. We walked over from my office on 5th Ave and arrived at 6:15pm(way too early for my 6:45pm reservation). Luckily the hostess was able to seat us in our very own red cushioned booth. I had to take pictures because I like my tushy to be comfortable when eating yummy food. Okay enough about me :-) The décor was just so beautiful with all the half red booths throughout the restaurant. Good thing this was the birthday girl’s top pick and finally we popped our cherries! Starters: dim sum sampler(mushroom dumpling, crab shumai, charsui duck bun) along with three dipping sauces… I tried the crab shumai very yummy and ate both of the buns as the duck meat was very moist and delicious… mmmmm! Since the birthday girl is a vegetarian, she wasn’t able to try the duck buns but I gave her my mushroom dumpling as I am not a big fan of it. She did try only the Mantou that wasn’t touching the duck meat. Entrees: shrimp pad thai(the birthday girl)…Andrea G. really enjoyed her pad thai but I can’t try hers because its loaded with peanuts visually on the side of her bowl before she mixed it in. oink oink oink fried rice(my order)…I have been eyeing on the oink oink oink fried rice and seen many pictures of it. I knew I was making the right choice after our server, Yenny was describing the fried rice to me. Every bite of the fried rice left my palate in a WOW factor«mama love you»! I wanted to save some room for dessert and doggy bag my leftovers. Dessert: ginger crème brulee(the birthday’s girl pick)…I glanced at the dish and realized the crème brulee was surrounded by toasted coconut flakes which is one of my food allergies and my friend feel bad. I didn’t want her to ask for another one because this is her special pre-birthday night. After my friend spoons up her first bite, I got a scoop and I can taste the ginger flavor so yummy! Definitely an amazing time here tonight with delicious food in our bellies and we were done exactly an hour lol

Must try: Mushroom spring rolls Mango lobster roll(it was the special of the day, they might have it again) Crème brûlée This restaurant has a great design and really good food. The only issue was the service. It’s very slow. Annoyingly slow.

3.5 stars* The ambience was nice, the staff was nice, the service was incredibly slow for a slow business day. Some people have a limited eating time! The water service was terrible too. We were thirsty majority of the meal because my cup empty for the most part and searching for our waitress was a journey. I came here with one of my best gal pals during her dinner break from work and we ordered: Mushroom spring roll — our favorite dish here; it wasn’t oily from being deep fried and the mushroom taste was so mushroomiee. We love mushrooms. Mushroom dumplings — more mushrooms! This was good but not as great as the spring roll. It was a bland mushroom dumpling. Leek dumpling — way better than the mushroom dumpling; not only was it bigger but it had eggs! Ahh! Brilliant idea. Eggs in dumplings give it a kick for sure. Indian roti — Not what I was hoping for. It was the thick version of roti and the curry was too salty and so thick. It’s suppose to be a curry dip! Ginger crème brûlée — we were surprised this tasted so good. My friend was planning to only take a bite or two but she ended up eating half! It’s not overly sweet and the ginger taste isn’t too strong nor too weak; it gives the crème brûlée an interesting twist. I loved the seats and the food was a 3.5. The ultra slow service bought it down.

A five-star experience at this visually loud but approachable new fusion restaurant in Murray Hill. After several hours of boozing at my friend’s baby shower/happy hour, we stumbled in with a very large group that had to be broken up into two subsets of 8 or so. Very soon, the quirky owner came over and demanded to know what we were celebrating. When he found out, he ordered a round of shots to be delivered to our table, and did one with us. My only regret here was that my friend foolishly asked for tequila, my lifelong frenemy. The shots drank, we proceeded to our meal, ordering a bevy of dishes to share. We had a bit of dim sum, including the duck bun, and, of what I can remember for mains, General Tso Chicken Meat Balls, Oink Oink Oink Fried Rice, and Shaking Beef. Pretty much everything was flavorful and satisfying. They also have ambitious cocktails and desserts. What really makes this place is the service, which is attentive and an above-and-beyond owner/manager who’s hands-on in a good way.

Definitely the best option for eclectic Asian and dim sum in this stretch of Murray Hill. Dim sum is excellent, I’ll be back to try more. Prices are so so, not Chinatown territory. BBQ duck bun — nice, though the bun overtook the quantity of duck Lobster pot sticker — fantastic, but leaves you wanting more lobster, which is usually the case with these dishes Cilantro/shrimp dumpling — probably my favorite Good selection of cocktails and desserts. I went for the milk chocolate sesame bar with sesame ice cream and it was awesome.

An easy commute across the street from my apartment, Sachi has been my go-to for good dim sum & cocktails in a smooth, intimate setting. Happy hour runs till 7:30pm at the bar, and they offer some of their dim sum /appetizers for either $ 7 or $ 8($ 1-$ 2 off regular price), with drinks ranging from $ 4(beers) to $ 8(specialty cocktails). Go with the mushroom dumplings… delicious! Albert is a terrific bartender, always takes care of us, and knows all the other regulars by name. Icing on the cake? Free dessert with Unilocal check in $ 25 food tab! #punintended

It was really rough for me to click 3-star because the service was really great and it is a very nice space to a romantic dinner. However, the food need a lot of improvement to be on par with the nice décor they are selling. I would suggest The Jade Lantern for drinks. It taste really special. — Sweet Ginger Chili Wings: Nothing special about this. I would prefer the sauce to be more marinated in the meat. I felt like the sauce is just on top of the wings like a dipping sauce. — Crispy pork belly with basil sauce: The whole dish was over-cooked. The pork belly was kind of hard to chew. — Spider roll: Probably the best dish I had that night. However, I had better. The presentation of the dish was pretty good though. I may return and try some of the other dish since I live in the neighborhood.
