I brought in a beloved pair of boots that were still on my feet and in terrible shape. Seams were coming apart, heels and soles were shredded, and worn down, and in the last week, a huge rip had developed in one boot. I spoke with Robert who seems to run the shop(though a woman I believe was his wife also seemed to work there, and his cute toddler was asleep there too) and he quoted me 45 dollars for a massive amount of work. I had asked 2 other shops: 1 just 10 blocks north(…won’t say who) quoted me 75, and the other 50. I thought maybe their quality of work would be better, but as my boots had never been cared for and were nearly 5 years old, I figured I should forego extravagance and just see if I could keep them alive for another year. Because I was still wearing them, Robert let me just wait in the shop as he worked away for about an hour on them. While I got some reading done, not only had he done the promised work, but also had fixed a tear in the inner lining and done a quick cleaning and waterproofing. From the junk heap to, again, one of my favorite pairs of fall shoes in 1 hour and for the best price in the area. If you want thoughtful work, for a great price, from a kind and deserving craftsman, this is the only place to go in the area. He also seems to have a good selection of ready-to-go shoes and shoe care accessories as well. Thanks, Robert! You have a repeat customer in me!

The space is crowded and smells of leather and polish, but I got perfectly kind and speedy service replacing a heel on my winter boot($ 20). No complaints!
