I came to this place for one of their workshops, it was not too bad. Of course the workshop is free so really limited and they are basically just trying to sell you some more stuff, lessons or fabric. The fabric is really cheap for the starting prices and they have a lot of choice. Service was not really great, but oh well. They have a lot of space — hence the choice. They also have promotional offers for specific leftover fabrics outside the shop. Would probably come back to one of their shops if I needed more fabric.

I love their prices! They have the cheapest fabrics I have found anywhere in the city, and a decent collection. The only reason for my love hate relationship with this store is the rude man who cuts the fabric. He treats you like you have no importance or intelligence. My friend and I waited for him to cut our fabric while he was doing something else at the table and he looks at us and goes«you want something?» He was much stingier with the fabric than most places. When my friend didn’t give him her next roll of fabric quick enough for him, he started clapping his hands at her, like we were circus animals. He did that a couple of times between the two of us. Make sure you know what you want when you get to him, because he will bite your head off if you don’t have the next roll ready for him on demand. I brought him fabric from the $ 1 clearance table that wasn’t on a roll. The cashier verified it was $ 1/yd when I asked her. I get to him and he says its 1.99/yd. I tell him the signs say $ 1, and he starts grumbling how I didn’t read the non existent sign. Another time he yelled at me for holding onto a roll because I was still deciding if I wanted it. I understand if I was preventing other people from getting it, but the store was empty and I only had 3 rolls! Go here for the prices, not the service.

«Never cut 2 pieces of fabric at once it will mess up your project» -«Tailor» something I learned as I brought some fabric. I was in awe that there were knowledgeable people not, just workers in the El Barrio staple. There were fabric options(not an abundance but, different styles). They also have a sewing course, I will take it!
