Dr Lee convinced me to do a surgery out of the network, saying that the maximum I will pay is the deductible but I’ll get a much better service. Now I’m swamped with all kinds of charges. Trying to resolve it with my insurance. It’s a nightmare.

I will never go to this doctor again.
I arrived on time for my appointment. The doctor was over one hour late for my appointment. He did not apologize for his lateness, or even mention the fact that he had made me wait so long.
He spent exactly 4 minutes «examining» my rotator cuff issues. During this time, he bent my arm back so hard it made me wince in pain. No apology. He did a couple other movements and then diagnosed my issue and left the room.
He prescribed an MRI on only one of my two injured shoulders. When I told him that it was the other shoulder that hurt more, he said, «Oh, it doesn’t matter. MRI’s aren’t really helpful until later, closer to the surgery, anyway. You can get it on either shoulder.» This is what you call «over prescription of expensive technology». It was clearly unnecessary. I did not have the MRI done.
