It’s a Subway sandwich spot. It is what it is. Nothing fancy. Just another chain serving up basic food items you see on their menu at every location. Considering the other few locations close to this area have closed they are one of the last ones left. The times I have dropped in here for a bite the service has been good, the food adequate, and was served quickly. Really just a grab and go spot as it’s narrow with little seating. Sure, there are other places around here to get a sandwich, but sometimes you just want a fast-foody sandwich that you can have made with different ingredients and on the healthier side quickly. Do they taste great? Not top-chef, but ok enough to get by. Hey, at least that idiot Jared is not around anymore waving around his foot-long!

It’s been over an hour and still no food. I called 15 mins ago and the guy shouted at me that the delivery man left 5 mins ago… What a lie once again.

Subway is one of those chain establishments whose continued existence in New York City never ceases to baffle me. Why would anyone frequent a Subway when you have about a million other choices to pick from to get a sandwich within a block or two from here. Anyway, I finally gave in and decided to give this Subway a shot. Maybe I’m just not made for the Subway culture, but I still don’t get this place. There was a poster outside for a Chicken Pizziola Melt which looks good to me.(Yes, I am well aware that the food inside never matches the poster — which is exactly why I tend to stay away from chain establishments) I walked inside and asked for the Chicken Pizziola Melt. The server then proceeded to ask me what I wanted on it. I was confused. The poster seems to be very clear as to what is in a Chicken Pizziola Melt — chicken, pepperoni, provolone cheese and marinara sauce — so why am I being asked? I had to say at least twice that I wanted the sub exactly the way it appears on the sign. At the end of the day, I’m pretty sure I got something completely different. Instead of slices of provolone, i got pre-shreaded provolone. Not what I was expecting. The taste — well this wasn’t very good to say the least. Although the bread was ok, the rest of the sandwich didn’t taste very fresh. It sort of tasted like a junk food sub. But then again, I guess that is what I should expect from a place like Subway. I’ll never understand how this place survives on the upper east side of New York. But I assure you it won’t be through my business. I will not be back.

It’s a better store then the one on 3rd, but its just subway so nothing much to mention. The workers there normally don’t have attitudes like several subways do, which keeps me coming back. And they deliver which is nice although Ive never tried the delivery from there being its so close. But for being a chain food place, its okay.
