A friend introduced me to this place about a year ago and I fell in love with it. it has some of the best noodles I’ve ever had. I’m normally very cautious about certain Asian foods because of my sensitivity to msg but I didn’t suffer any migraines at all! it was so good it would have been worth suffering though later anyway. An added bonus to the experience is that the owner is so sweet and friendly!

Hole in the wall sushi spot. Definitely worth checking out if you can find it! The address is 1448th avenue but the entrance is on the north side of 17th street. I got the yummy stick and the ninja roll and both were great. Yummy stick is like a Japanese burrito and it was really tasty. Ninja roll was also very good — spicy tuna and avocado on top of shrimp tempura. Place is very reasonably priced and the sushi chef was very friendly.

This place is a hidden gem in the city. You have probably walked by countless times without even noticing. Inside awaits the most charming man who will make you delicious sushi, bibimbop, udon and more! If you’re feeling adventurous try the YUMMYSTICK — an amazing nori wrapped asian-style burrito. The SHRIMPSHUMAI are not to be missed — get 2 orders. TRUSTME. The bibimbop is not the best I have had but it is very satisfying. For a quick-pick up lunch this place is not to be missed. Everything I have tried has been great — udon, soba, rolls, miso, dumplings. 10 bux will feed you for lunch which is rare in this hood. Don’t be thrown by the atmosphere — this is a one man show in the middle of Chelsea. I am thankful every time I come by and he is still open because I fear for small businesses in this area. But obviously people are coming because he is still going. The food speaks for itself. And so does the man — he is truly the happiest man you will ever meet.
