This is my second year living at 444 w. 35th st. and I dont think I want to leave anytime soon. The building is so well maintained, I have no complaints about anything. The staff– Raf dawg and Dimitri are the best and make my morning when I leave for work. They bring my packages to my apartment, come to fix what I ask at the drop of a hat and are very professional and friendly. Most of my neighbors are young working professionals and are all very respectful of the building and its tenants. The building itself is safe and secluded from any possible outside intruders. The entrance to the Lincoln tunnel doesn’t even bother me anymore because I feel so far from it once I am inside the building. The only downside is that the rent has increased for us this year and unfortunately as recent graduates, my roommate and I find it to be a bit above our price range. Hopefully we can stay at this apartment another year because we really do love it and enjoy calling it our home.

Fantastic place to live in NY. I’ve been looking for a place like this to call home ever since I moved to Manhattan. Great things about this building: — Outdoor space. Mini-garden out front with benches, and gorgeous rooftop with chairs/tables and a beautiful view all around. Watch the sunset, host 4th of July parties or come up here to tan or do yoga — works for anything you don’t want to do in your own apartment. — The Doormen. The 5-person team knows everyone in the building personally and stops all unfamiliar faces at the door. I’ve never felt safer in Manhattan. — Spacious apartments with lots of light. I live in a studio, but it’s shaped so elegantly that most guests don’t realize it’s a studio when they walk in. The kitchen itself is gorgeous — lots of space, glass cabinets, the whole deal. Apartments also have a lot of closet space. — Great location. Sure it’s not as trendy as the village, but it’s right next to the A-C-E, Penn Station, boltbus.(A little more of a walk to the 1−2 – 3.) And it’s close enough to the river that you can walk to the Pier on a nice day. — Good, clean laundry room. In my last building the laundry room scared the crap out of me. This building has flowers in the laundry room. I mean, seriously? — Tenants are pretty young, fun people. We’ve made friends with neighbors and everyone seems pretty nice. — Rent. I know, too good to be true, right? This place costs me less than my awful walkup in Murray Hill. Cons: — No gym. But for all the rest that this building has to offer, I have no qualms about going to the gym somewhere else.
