My podiatrist had recommended The Balanced Runner to me since foot pain was clearly not going to keep me from running my first marathon. I had several sessions with Jae last year (2010) while training for the Chicago Marathon. We worked on my running form and I improved significantly each week. There was even one day after a session where I felt so great running that I was actually giddy! I 100% believe that Jae was the reason I got through my first marathon injury-​free. I loved working with her and running just feels so much better now. I am working with her again this year to ensure that I stay healthy for this running season. I highly recommend The Balanced Runner for anyone who is interested in becoming a better (less injured, faster) runner.

I had several sessions with Julia to improve my running form in preparation for the NYC Marathon. Before meeting with her, I had not completed a marathon… I was nervous about training for the NYC marathon as I hurt my left knee previously during training. After my first session, my running form felt a lot more natural and pain-​free. I met several more times before the marathon and my form continued to improve significantly. I finished the NYC marathon within my goal-​time (4 hours) injury-​free, which was a big accomplishment for me. I would highly recommend The Balanced Runner to anyone looking to improve their running form, especially if you are competing in a long-​distance race.
