Desperately seeking good spicy Jamaican jerk chicken and definitely not finding it here. Despite asking for oxtail gravy over my jerk, it was still doused in much too sweet jerk sauce — and instead of fried cabbage, I got some lettuce and tomato. The peas and rice was lacking in peas, mushy and without taste. Not worth the $ 8 I paid, especially when you know good sized portions of tasty jerk can be had for $ 5. Looks like I will have to make the trip to Queens, Brooklyn, or the Bronx before I can enjoy good jerk again.

This is a lunch truck that’s usually parked near the corner of Ann St and Park Row. They serve caribbean style food and it’s excellent. I tried the jerk style chicken which was served with dirty rice and a kind of cabbage slaw. Everything was awesome, especially the rice. I think most of the entrees come with it(especially if you ask). I got the large size but the small will do for most people unless you’re out of your mind hungry. Can’t wait to go back and try the stewed peas!
