THis place is so unique and fun during the winter time. Highly recommend it!

We went expecting to go to Gallow Green, but were told during the colder months it is known as The Lodge. It was a great experience, especially the overall décor of the bar. It was basically a old school apartment with a bar(there was bunk beds you can get seated at and even a back room with a actual bed with a library and all). It was definitely different from most NYC bars/lounges. We ordered some yummy cocktails and enjoyed the overall vibe and relaxed atmosphere of the place. The bartender was very friendly and informative on all the drinks and what they consisted of. If you do not want to try out their signature cocktails, they have a full bar. The bartender explained during the warmer months they turn this establishment into Gallow Green which is rooftop bar. I have heard great things about Gallow Green like their amazing drinks, and look forward to visiting during the warmer months.

The décor is so fun ! You take the elevator and it’s like you are going back in time. And when you arrive on the rooftop it’s like you are in the forest and the restaurent is in a sweet old cabin. You could even get seated on bunk beds. The food was very good and there was lots of it, which is great. The mimosa was good, with that you could choose between coffee or tea. The waffles and biscuit were so tasty ! The fried chicken was really crispy, I soaked it with syrup. The burger was perfectly cooked(medium rare) and the fries were really well seasoned. After the delicious desserts, we went on the outdoor space to enjoy the view and the weather. What a great experience !

The drinks were delicious and the decorations are pretty cool. Get there early though, getting in after 10pm will be tough if not impossible.

We made reservations thinking it was for Green Gallows but because of the winter season brunch is only offered at the Lodge which is indoors. You actually have to buy tickets to get a seat here and some of the tables are cafeteria style seating which means you might be seated at the same table as another party. Luckily we got a table to ourselves. The Lodge is decorated like a cottage almost and has an interesting feel to it. The brunch is a prix fixe menu and consists of a waffle and biscuit to start alongside a drink of your choice. You also get one mimosa with your brunch ticket. The menu is kind of small. We ordered the burger and chicken and waffles. For dessert we chose the chocolate option. The food was pretty good. I liked the burger better than the chicken and waffles but overall it wasn’t anything too exceptional. The staff here was really nice and I would like to return for brunch when the weather gets nicer to check out the Green Gallows portion.

Cramped space. Food wasn’t anything special. I’ve had better food at a diner. Drinks are over priced. Not really worth it.

This is my third time coming to The Lodge, but the first time for Brunch. We made a reservation a week in advance for 2:15. We arrived a few mins. late but we were seated right away. It’s a Prix-fixe menu that includes an appetizer of mini waffles and a biscuit, and a few choices for entrees and dessert. The portion sizes were just right and the food was delicious. Incredible service by the waitstaff that never left us waiting too long for our food and knew when to leave us be. Now, my only complaint this go around is the seating. When we were first seated, we were placed at a long table sandwiched between other parties. This for me is a no-no. I don’t like sitting on top of other people in such a small place. I looked around and saw that there was a small table that sat 2 – 3 people near the window where the kithcen/bar is. Before we could get settled, I asked if it was possible for us to be moved. The waitress was very accommodating and moved us right away. So if I were to give anyone a tip, it is to be specific about where you would like to be seated when you make the reservation. Other than that everything went wonderfully. I’m hoping to come back at least once before they take down the lodge for the season.

Was early for Sleep No More and decided to get a drink while waiting. Walked past two bouncers and decided that there must be drinks where there are bouncers. They escorted us into a tight elevator where we were deposited into a dark corridor. Thankfully a lady in a ticket booth pointed the way past an empty restaurant(The Heath was closed) and up a set of stairs… where we entered a different world. It was a like entering a old-wooden cottage in the woods. Complete with small bunk beds, fireplace, dim lighting and herbs drying from the wood beams above. There was even a handsome lumberjack bartender serving drinks from a nook in the back. The prices are steep, but it’s a price I’m willing to pay to stay in this cozy wonderland space. A great intro to a night at Sleep No More.

The décor offers all of the thoughtful little details that fans of the McKittrick Hotel would expect. The conceit of being in a cottage is charming, however weekend crowds negate the illusion of escaping the city. Just like Sleep No More, pushy crowds can ruin it… The drinks are pricey but the real issue was the bartender. She was such a bitch! I am a polite and friendly person about to drop $ 20 on a drink — why are you giving me so much attitude??? All the other staff at the hotel are friendly so I was surprised at this woman’s poor service skills.

Cozy, just the right amount of eerie, and a generally great spot to warm up this season. All the same attention to detail as Sleep No More. Bar classics and creative cocktails. A smooth move date spot.
