My wife and I both had pork chops based on the waitress Geraldine’s recommendations. They were delicious. Cooked medium, nice and juicy.

Great fun, great service, great food! The atmosphere is electric due to the booming voices of the proudly Irish gatherers!

Decent service for a super busy neighborhood. Drink prices are NewYorky and bar isn’t nearly as crowded(for happy hourish on a weekend) as one would expect. No TP on bathroom and employee came in and rectified immediately. Way to go, bar!

Great food we went right before a show at msq… it’s right across the street… No wait in line and I used my Unilocal 10 percent off coupon …

This place was just ok. It was incredibly loud. Drinks were pricey, even for Manhattan — $ 12 for a diminutive vodka cranberry. My friend and I split the mussels, which were on special this night. They were really good. However, due to the noise, we left and headed over to Hooters for more $ 12 drinks and wings.

I came here for lunch to meet up with an old friend and it was a pretty solid meal. They host/waitress was very friendly and helped me out right away. The menu had some solid choices and ultimately I decided to go with the Cajun sandwich. It was pretty standard, nothing special or out of the ordinary, but the food came out quick and the service was good as well. Not a bad lunch spot.

I was greeted at the door by a woman wearing a fancy Sunday church hat(it was dinner time on Saturday night. lol) While its pretty dark inside and you can’t tell the quality of the food from the menu prices, this place is top notch. I ordered steak and spinach. It was a reasonable size portion that costs $ 34+ tip. The City’s health rating is a B.

Yum! Awesome bread. .lots of it. . Only complaint. …and a real one I would have liked a spoon to get the corners of my crock cleaned out. The fork just couldn’t get all the yumminess. I left some shepherds pie in it. :(

Office is upstairs and I finally came in for dinner. It was Happy Hour but not at this location. Apparently, there is a sister restaurant and that location has Happy Hour but NOT this place. READAGAIN — NOHAPPYHOUR here. There is a check in counter and I was met by an older gentleman, who clearly did not enjoy his role at this establishment. The reception was less than warm. Such a downer. I was all amped up to get my drink on and his demeanor was just .umm bleh. Again. it was happy hour and I had a long hard day and I really wanted a cold pint and this old chap just ended the evening quickly. I thought it would be tiny and grungy. But pleasantly surprised. Place is cozy and has these nooks and a huge window allows you to people watch. I can see hanging out here and just knocking a few back. Service is fast and prompt. the food is mediocre. Really mediocre. I would skip the food and just have drinks here.

Excellent spot right next to MSG. Had a delicious Saturday brunch here, which comes with a complementary mimosa or screwdriver. Atmosphere was very relaxed(at lunch time) and the food was excellent and very reasonably priced, given the location. Had the steak and eggs, which also came with some delicious roasted potatoes mixed with diced red peppers. Service was excellent. I asked for my eggs scrambled, but they came fried. They realized without me even saying anything. I insisted that it was fine, but they still brought me an extra serving of eggs scrambled, along with another mimosa. Awesome. You will want to make sure to make a reservation if you come around dinner time or when there’s a Knicks game, as it’ll be packed. You definitely won’t regret it.

Stopped by this little restaurant/bar before Knicks game hoping there would be happy hour — there wasn’t any. Drinks were very reasonable though(around $ 5 — $ 7 for beer and $ 8 — $ 12 for wine) so I was happy with that. My party and I were also going to get some food and hoped to get seated but the staff said tables were only reserved for those who were going to order food so I were stuck standing at a small table. We ordered a few appetizers to share: — Calamari — Hummus — Chicken tenders All were okay and nothing spectacular but I wasn’t expecting much. Our waitress was attentive and overall it wasn’t bad, just wish we actually got a table

Wow! I came here about a year ago, and just visited again yesterday! Inside, is a beautiful restaurant and bar. There’s sitting to the left and to the right and there’s a small sized bar straight back. Our waitress brought over two waters and took our drink order. I ordered an unsweetened ice tea and my Aunt ordered a coke. She brought over our drinks right away and took our food order. My Aunt and I both ordered the Trinity Special(Soup, Salad, Half a Sandwich) with potato and leek soup, and ceasar salad but I ordered the sandwich du jour(ham and cheese) and she ordered the corned beef sandwich with mustard on the side. We were starving and looking for our bread basket. We eventually flagged down our bus boy who brought us a basket ASAP. Not even two minutes later our food came out delivered by a food runner! We were so busy eating our soup and salad that I didn’t realize that my sandwich was a corned beef sandwich and not the ham and cheese sandwich. We were looking for our waitress but couldn’t see her in view any where in the restaurant. We asked the bus boy to get her but then a different waitress came over to help us. She took away my corned beef sandwich and put in an order for the ham and cheese. A few minutes later a hot delicious sandwich was delivered! The bread is awesome! They give you three different rolls(everything, butter roll, and an oat-ish roll) and then two pieces of two different breads(Irish soda bread and a sweet honey bread.) I tried a little of everything, all delicious! I ended up dipping the rolls in my potato and leek soup. The soup was so good. Thick and creamy! The Caesar salad is incredible. My Aunt and I decided that it’s one of new our favorites! She loved her corned beef sandwich and was glad she got the mustard on the side. It was so spicy! My sandwich was delicious! It was warm with ham, swiss cheese, lettuce, tomato, and a dijonnaise. If Ti Na Nog was on Long Island, my family would be eating there once a week! It’s delicious, moderately inexpensive, and adorable.

Food: great. I had the burger which was well above average and my buddy had the roast beef sandwich which he said was awesome. Atmosphere: as you would expect for an old school Irish pub Service: no problems there. Misc: this was my first time here. Did know to expect. $ 42 for two meals and two sodas and that includes tip. About good as you’re going to do in NYC with wait service.

Stopped in before a Knicks game the other day with a friend. Friendly bar and a nice pint of Guinness. We sat down to eat with prompt efficient service and I was pleasantly surprised with how good the food was. The bread basket was awesome, with one of the better Irish soda breads that I’ve had. We shared the steamed mussels in a white wine and leek broth — perfectly fresh, tender mussels with crusty bread to mop up the broth. My friend had the shepard’s pie and loved it(I would have preferred to have regular mashed potatoes and not garlic but that’s me). I had the seared sea scallops with beet risotto. I know, two seafood dishes at an Irish bar is pushing it, but it was really very tasty. Very fresh, tender scallops in a light orange-butter sauce with slivers of caramelized fennel on top. There are not a lot of solid choices around MSG so I’m glad we finally decided to give this place a try. I’ll definitely be back to try more of the menu next time. This is not your average Irish pub fare so don’t be afraid to give it a shot and explore the menu yourself.

Love this place and the warmth it provides coming in off the winter streets of NYC. Always a great place for a pint or a whiskey. I ate there the other night and I gotta say for $ 21.00 the Shepard’s Pie was awful skimpy

If you ever find you’re self near MSG looking for a bite to eat, this is the place! I stopped in with my family for a late lunch and we all left very full and very happy. I ordered the trinity special which consisted of a side salad, potato leek soup, and a corned beef sandwich. For less than $ 15 this seemed like the best deal. The soup was absolutely delicious. It was creamy, garlicy and had the perfect level of salt. The side salad was also better than I was expecting. The mixed greens were topped with a large portion of fresh cucumbers and tomatoes. Finally, I have to say I was a bit worried about the sandwich, Im not a big corn beef fan, but I figured I’d give it a try. While the sandwich didn’t blow my mind, it was a good addition to the soup and salad. Pilled high with corn beef, the meat was topped with cheese and a spicy mustard. My favorite dish was the Mussels appetizer my parents split. First of all, this dish was huge with plenty of mussels to share. The creamy tomato sauce was also perfect. It was light, tangy, spicy and was great for dipping bread in afterwards. Oh, I should also note you get free bread WHICHISALWAYS A GOODTHING am i right? Finally, my brother ordered the shepherds pie and to quote his first words after taking a bite«wow, i am now officially a shepherds pie fan.» The mashed potatoes were soooo good and extra garlicy. The meat(i believe it was lamb) was also very tasteful. My biggest problem with shepherds pie is usually that its too salty, but this dish hit all the marks. OVERALL Great restaurant if you’re looking for a place to eat in the city. Tir Na Nog has that authentic irish feel that makes you want to order a Guinness even if you don’t like beer.

Great Steaks and Salmon. Fresh ingredients, and great service. Desserts are great. Bit pricy, but in the heart of the city. Great environment for business gathering. 1 Adult meal with non alcoholic drink, and sweet $ 45.

As they say at Tri Na Nóg: «you don’t come here for the food!». On a serious note; when you play the most conservative card you can in a restaurant by ordering soup, your clam chowder should not come out like a sad Western Family knock off of the Chunky’s staple. How do you mess up mashed potatoes? Ask these guys. And I literally swear the potato leek soup was the amino gruel they eat in the Matrix. Wtf? How in this economy have you not figured out MSG or bacon as a savory additive? Bravo. Glad I didn’t order the scallops.

If I could give this«joint» no stars and all, I would. The people who work here are the most hostile, rudest people I’ve ever met. I’m a polite person, and I’ve had three of the workers there curse in front of me, on two separate occasions. It’s as if from years of working at their bar, they’ve picked up this disgusting, «ubiquitously-belligerently» drunk attitude to them. I’d done absolutely nothing wrong as a customer. The first time I came here, I had to wait 10 minutes for the bartender to emerge from his corner where he was just talking to another bartender and doing absolutely nothing. He was an older guy named, Bernard. He poured me literally, half a shot glass of a $ 12 shot of Patron. When I asked him to fill the hole shot glass,(because I’m paying for it) he gave me a dirty look and then said, «No.» Then I asked him nicely if I can have a lime to chase the shot with.(The limes were right next to him.) He fires back, «You know, you’re really pissing me off right now!!!» And then he proceeds to hand me a lime wedge. He was so loud that the whole bar heard him! He made me so uncomfortable. Even more things transpired after that. But, yeah. They’re terrible. If you like to patronize scumbags, and have your drinks served with a side of undeserved entitlement, go ahead. The location is great. Which is probably why naïve tourists, or people looking for a place very close to Penn keep patronizing these people. They know that they can behave however they want to, to anyone, and still exist. but, it’s not right. You’re not in good company when you come here. May you always drink in good company… Thanks for reading!

The food here was pretty good from what I tried, although I didn’t have that much. The décor of the place was really great as it felt like a true Irish pub. The bread to start was not very good but the hummus(excluding the pita bread) and salad were. Not a bad place to stop by for a beer and a bite but I’m sure there are other pubs in the city with better meals.
