Love this pub. Just had the best Reuben sandwich I ever had. Imagine that.

My secret little hide out for super cheap drinks and super cheap food. The quality of the food is also above par, I usually always get the French Dip. It’s my favorite French Dip in the city. $ 3 draft beer, $ 6 Jameson, $ 10 Entrees I mean come on! I actually go out of my way to stop at this hidden gem, the bar tenders themselves aren’t super personal with you which I kind of like, the waitress if you sit in the dining is more personal if that’s what you’re looking for. There’s very little to complain about I’ve always received great service… the place I go when I have friends or family visiting where everyone can drink and eat and not break the bank.

Great little pub. The bar-side atmosphere is loud and engaging, just the way you’d want a pub. The food was quick, tasty and very reasonably priced. Service was quick. You could tell she was a pro. She managed a space of about 20 tables, all with screaming after-work business folks. My favorite beer here was their Newcastle Scotch Ale.

Walked the neighborhood last night before the Billy Joel Concert at MSG.(which was amazing BTW) Looking for a quick bite and came across Twins, what a find, excellent food, I had the French Dip and my wife had the Stir-fry Shrimp which was fantastic. The French Dip was, well… French dip! but cooked like I wanted it and very good. Can’t beat the prices, service was very good. Nothing fancy here but you will not be disappointed for sure!

Maybe we ordered the wrong things, but the food here was a step above airline quality. Figured a pub could at least serve up some decent basics. Man, was I wrong. Chicken fingers that tastes microwaved(soggy and flavorless) and a burger as hard as a hockey puck. Go for a beer, but skip the food.

Stopped in for a quick bite and a beer. I didn’t expect much. The bartender was friendly and the bar had a great neighborhood feel with everyone chatting with each other. I ordered a steak sandwich. Ridiculously amazing! This was probably the best sandwich I’ve had in years and the fries were hot, crispy and delicious! Don’t be deceived. this place is a diamond in the rough

very strange experience at this bar. i ordered two beers during the first, 45-minute half of the world cup(booo belgium!). at half time, my co-worker ordered a third drink and dinner and then when i told the bartender i wasn’t quite ready for my third drink yet, he replied, out of the blue, «well then you need to leave!!!» haha, no b.s. he then told me to step away from the bar so that other customers could order! wow. that said, the food looked pretty good, in spite of the lackluster service. two stars!

I stumbled towards the megabus stop at 11:00pm, jetlagged, cold from the rain, and generally miserable. I walked into Twins on a desperate whim, and found the kindest and most friendly bar in New York. The bartender said it looked like a rough day and in his New York way started chatting with me. After setting me up with the cheapest beer I’ve ever had in Manhattan($ 3 yuengling), he offered to plug in my iPhone behind the counter. Really, I was ready sold. Looking around, the ground floor had all you need in an Irish pub. Plenty of dark booths and tables, and a very long bar with a few TVs and Classic American rock blaring. For a refuge from the airport to Penn Station to Megabus, this was an oasis of calm and friendly people. Thank you, Twins!

Went here recently. The area is not that great to be around but once inside here, things are better. We had several different food entries and overall everyone was pretty happy with the foot. And things are pretty reasonably priced. It definitely was noisy but that’s expected.

This is a good Pub. It has the best service this side of the H Kitchen. The drinks are plentiful and the food isn’t half bad. Everything is priced reasonably, I haven’t had a plate and thought that is wasn’t worth the cash. A good place to start or end the night.

We stopped in here last night to kill time before a midnight showing at the 34th St Loews. Neither of us had ever been there before, but we’ve been on the lookout for divey Irish pubs, so we’re both keen to stop back in sometime. I was surprised at how few people were there at 11:30 on a Saturday night, which is usually a bad sign — but I didn’t see anything wrong with the place. The bartender was friendly, the place was pretty clean, and they had great drink specials. $ 9 got us two pints and two shots. We’ll definitely be back — interested to try the food next time! $ 10 minimum for cards.

This place is pretty bad. They charged me $ 6 for a cider that wasn’t even the right temperature. I was here with a group(we had rented out the upstairs) and they only had one waitress for the entire group. As a result, service was slow. Food looked overpriced, and from what I heard, wasn’t great. I wouldn’t go back. $ 10 minimum for cards.

So the place deserves a solid 4 for the nice ppl(Jonathan served us), nice bar food(gotta try the spicy corn nuggets appetizer) and cheap as hell drinks. I give it an overall 3 because it’s a smallish bar, away from most action, but hey, serves the ‘Thirsty Thursday’ purpose beautifully well! Cheers!

This is a polished looking bar with friendly and sweet bartenders, a nice upstairs for private events and an affordable menu for Midtown. Fried mushrooms(called«battered mushrooms») and a beer totaled $ 13. Not bad, Twins Pub. Not bad. The crowd downstairs also seemed diverse and outgoing. Definitely coming back! :)

Tom the bartender is a friend of mine, well at least he should be. One of the closest watering holes next to the Javits Cntr. Always a stop after a trade show for quick bite and brew. Good affordable food served up at this midtown Irish pub, usually around $ 10 to $ 15 for lunch specials. Heavy handed shots of Jameson along w/$ 3 draft specials. Friendly attentive service, with a Lil tude. This is one if not my favorite pubs in NYC. Any good lay your hat drinking station must have character. This place doesn’t lack in that department, that’s for sure. The most obscure cast of characters that I’ve been fortunate enough to have come across in this massive and sometimes not so inviting city. Rest assure whether the iron worker, postman, lawyer or tourist sitting next to you, you will be treated as if your a member of the family. And isn’t that what we all want and deserve. Just a break away from the mondaine world that we all meander through like cattle to the slaughter. Your not a face in the crowd here, you are the star, well kinda sorta, lol. Not 5 star dining, but gets the job done nicely and conveniently located close to the Lincoln tunnel for a quick get away.

you can’t fail at twins. I love Tom and Dan(the bartenders) I have brought countless randoms here and it’s a usual after work. Great $ 3 bass good martinis. I often come alone well because I want a drink and the pour is good here plus it’s in between work and the train which makes it an easy stumble back. you can find me at the other end of the bar with a Jameson on the rocks. Good drinking

I love Twins. $ 3 beers 24/7, and a great atmosphere to drink them in. Me and my coworkers usually go a couple times a week after work and can get pretty tuned up for less than $ 20/per, which is fantastic. All these people kvetching about Twins being seedy and gross need to get their priorities in line — it’s a goddamn Irish pub not a mixology studio where they shot the Ketel One commercial with guys with high cheekbones and beards in suits saying«gentlemen, this is nightlife» or whatever the fuck. The servers are nice, the bartenders give you shit but expect you to give it back to them, and it’s a fantastic value. ‘Nuff said.

I only give it five stars because it was my first bar in NYC when i moved here and I have been going ever since. The bar is busy sometimes but during the week a little more calm. Great bar to eat and watch the game, great sandwiches. Bartenders are all great there

I loved this place. I had a project in New York for several months, and came here almost every night. Sometimes I had a few cheap beers and used the free wifi, sometimes with a group of coworkers and we spent hundreds. Either way, I was always treated the same way: courteously, quickly, and without regards to how much they thought they could milk from me that night. Even when I was seated at the bar during a Rangers game doing work at 9:30 and not spending much… I do feel a little guilty for that. In the past few months, Guiness has been 5.00, always some non-PBR/Busch Lite pint at 3.00(Bass, Bud Light, Amstel), and good food at a good price too. However, what trumps it all? The people are polite, courteous, and the service impeccable. Wish I had one near my house at home.
