I can’t believe this place doesn’t have better reviews. So many vegetarian and vegan options AND whole wheat crust. And people complaining about the price… It’s NYC and I will pay for healthy and unique options. I usually get a pie though so I can’t comment on the individual slices.

Kinda pricey considering the quality, too much cheese and the sauce was very bitter… not to my taste at all.

Worst pizza yet. The pizza base is bizarre, it tastes like some sort of pressed sesame baguette both in taste and texture. It probably didn’t help that the pizzaiolo wasn’t paying attention and my «not too hot» order came out blisteringly hot and charred. It’s a shame because the place has a nice vibe.

Love this location since the staff is über friendly. I’m not crazy about the vegan pizza, but the vegan calzone is out of this world! The ricotta and mozzarella, mixed with spinach and tomatoes is so filing, and a small is large enough to fill two rumbling tummies. You can add whatever toppings you like and go ham! 10 minutes later, you’ll have a piping hot vegan calzone ready to be devoured. *I remember enjoying the bayou beast and cleopatra when I was omni, now if only they could make it vegan. Hats off to you Two Boots!

This was the most disgusting pizza I’ve ever ordered. Ordered a plain pie through seamless with half pepperoni. The sauce wAs clearly a jarred sauce with a ton of oregano dumped in it. Called and spoke with Devon the manager who was incredibly rude and when asked what could be done about it she said«you live and you learn». This was the worst pizza I’ve ever had I would have been better with a frozen digiorno pizza!

I liked this little hippy pizza joint! I headed back to my hotel in NY after a Broadway show and stumbled upon this spot. The service was good and they had slices fresh and waiting with my name on it. Apparently they serve gluten free pizza as well. The Mr. Pink was delicious! Creole chicken, tomatoes, garlic, and mozzarella. Love the cute movie/TV themed pizzas. :)

Bright colorful fun place to grab a slice or a whole pie! We ordered the V for Vegetarian pizza– artichoke hearts, shiitake mushrooms, red onion, green and red pesto lined on top of traditional red sauce and cheese. Crispy crust perfectly thin. Loved it! Med pizza was about $ 20. Will be back for The Bess!

A hippie pizza lovers paradise. The design of the place is absolutely perfect. As far as the pizza, there are options upon options. Nothing typical about it. Every pie has a great original name, so do the drinks. The cornmeal crust is different but to me it doesn’t add to the flavor. A little greasy to me. I’ll be back to try some other flavors!

Came here 15 minutes before closing and they still had a number of quality slices on offer. I waited behind a very befuddled young couple peppering the girl working the counter with multiple, feckless questions. Not only was she friendly to them, she invited them to stay and eat and enjoy the AC. 15MINUTESBEFORECLOSING. Unheard of. When I worked jobs like this, we would give people hard stares to make sure they know we’re closing and need to spend the next 30 – 60 minutes cleaning the place before going home and spending the next 2 hours trying to fall asleep. Or, as most employees in NYC do, they shove your food in your face in a to-go box without comment. In contrast, the girl here was so sweet and friendly. I, however, took mine to go out of respect. Even 15 minutes before closing, the reheated slices were still delicious. Very sizeable, not too much crust, and a nice melt on the cheese without overdoing it. I had the bird — always a good choice — and some artichokey-spinach slice. I ate my two slices while walking and it surely enhanced my journey home.

I really, really wanted to like this place. It’s super cute and from the décor looks like an original place. Lots of pizza options, including some very creative ones. I got one cheese slice and one that had sausage, pepperoni, peppers, etc. The verdict? Super bland. Super super bland. The cheese was bland; the sauce was bland; the toppings were bland. What a disappointment. The best part was the crust — well done!

The Bayou Beast was amazing. The crawfish is very fresh, the pizza very thin crust and cooked to perfection. Very friendly service and the eclectic décor that’s typical of the Two Boots restaurants. If you haven’t been to one yet add it to your to do list.

Despite many negative reviews popping up… I enjoyed my experience very much. The guy at the counter was super friendly during my visit… and it was almost 11pm and i asked several questions before ordering. The place was very clean as well, and service was quick and attentive. The location in Williamsburg is very good as well, and suppppper friendly service the few times I have been. Make sure to sit in the back of that one bc the oven is located near the entrance. At this one near 96th in UWS… There does need to be a little menu sign on the menu display because I was lost and that was why I was asking questions. Either put a sign or make sure the employee tells every customer the menu is on the counter — or so like Chipotle and put a menu ‘stand’ near the entrance where customers have to walk past it/around it. I opted for the V for Vendetta pizza aka V for Vegan on the menu, but substituted the artichokes for sundries tomatoes. You guys need pineapple! Come on! The pizza was well made and delicious. Ingredients were good quality. Definitely was not 99c or dollar pizza quality, but any pizza that sits out long enough will turn to that. So just ask them to make you a new slice… they will do it! Just ask people! Don’t order it knowing it will be shit and then vent on Unilocal.Rude. It’s a walk in seat yourself pizza place… what else do you really want. My fiancée got a couple slices of cheese and she said that they were very… very good. The crust especially… The location is spot on and the décor/music is awesome. A good unique place that sets itself different from the rest which is good for the consumer who eats out often. All in all, a great little place. I’m was born Louisiana so I think it was a cool theme. I do think that with the background biography of the business and specialty pizzas offered in the way they are… they should have more dairy free options. Vinnie’s in Williamsburg and Greenpoint remains my favorite just because of the variety. Nowadays it isn’t hard to make these kind of options, and in NYC – they will defiantly pad the bottom line on your balance sheet.

I really loved the options, crazy and colorful. I tried the bird and the Bella and they were great. Amazing crust too!

I’ve walked by many of their locations and finally decided to stop in this UWS location for a quick bite. While the pizza names are fun, the ingredients in many of them were just okay. Nothing that seemed unique or different and all of them looked like they had been sitting out for a while. I don’t recall which one I ended up getting which speaks to the flavor. The man working the counter was not really friendly or pleasant. Just there and didn’t really offer much interaction. Is this what the other Two Boots are like? When my slice came out of the oven, it looked ok and was slightly warmed. Some fresh shredded mozzarella before reheating would have woken up the slice a bit. The flavors didn’t particularly stand out, including the sauce and the crust. I know some pizza places use cornmeal on the bottom. But I really noticed a heavy use of cornmeal in the crust and on the bottom which I didn’t enjoy. It felt like they rely on the cornmeal to simulate a crispy crust instead of the pizza dough itself. Other than the unique, colorful décor, a little disappointed in the food.

Warmed Chocolate chip cookies, Bayou Beast & Grandma Bess Pizza, Boyland black Cherry & Pineapple Fizzy Lizzy. Great service, food was okay, not as awesome as the park slope location. I’ll visit the west village to see what they’re pizza tastes like. #fingerscrosed

Me and my girlfriend was in the neighborhood this afternoon. When we saw the decorations of the restaurant, we couldn’t just walk passed then we decided to give it a try. It’s a very characteristic place, the staffs are very nice defiantly coming back!

I think they just served me one of the two boots. My girlfriend is having the other one. Pizzas look, feel and taste like they have been made eons ago and have been reheated in a toaster. Overpriced but hey, really cool counters! Gotta check them out.

hmmm $ 4 for a 99 cent pizza?seems legit. There is absolutely nothing special about this place other than its close proximity to the subway stop. The pizza is mediocre and over priced. I think I will go back to my dominos delivery thank you very much.
