Had the good fortune of meeting coach Xavier. I’ve taken more classes than I can count with him and as challenging as it is, I keep coming back.
He’s a great teacher and motivator. Your not just s number. You’re his student and he takes it in a professional manner.
I decided to take a private training session with coach Xavier. Two words. «great workout!»
More personal training to come.

Second time taking the Fight Fit class with JayMark and will deff be taking some more. Great interaction and technique, Ramsey who was awesome also chimed in creating such a great dynamic. A+ :)

I can only review the Wednesday night Kickboxing class primarily with Zoren. This is one of my favorite and most challenging workouts on a Barry’s Bootcamp type level. Zoren does not let you stop for the full hour. You warm up quickly then do constant workout like jumping squats, jumping lunges, push ups, burpees, high knees etc all that craziness. Then the second half of the class works on combinations of kicks and punches with jump squats and lunges interwoven. You even do jumping jacks or static squat when he’s demonstrating combinations. Zoren gives correction on form. Finish with brief yoga style stretching.
I was intimidated my first time coming to the gym but they are all super welcoming. There’s a range of levels in the class, more experienced ppl in the front per the usual.
Wraps are $ 10. Gloves are free but stinky, bought gloves finally. The locker room is clean. There’s showers but I don’t use them. Lockers, bring your own lock. The locker room gets pretty full after class.
Overall one of my favorite workouts and feel very accomplished when I leave!

I tried a MATRX class via classpass this past Saturday at 12pm with Noël. He was extremely professional and hilarious. I was the only one in this class so I got a lot of attention. I learned some things I had never done before like elbow and knee combination as well as punching and kicking with a partner using mitts. I brought my own gloves and hand wraps were $ 10. These are mandatory don’t forget them! He also wrapped them in a more proper way than I think I’ve been doing in the past.
I got my ass 1,000% KICKED. Everything from my forearms to my calves hurt so good. I sat in the locker room just texting my friends and trying to catch my breath for about 30 min that they needed to come with me next time.
I have been kickboxing for a little over a year and i’ve been to two other studios. This studio was the most professional, clean, and about proper form and technique! Thanks for this class.

Being a veteran of the US Army, day to day life is often far more difficult than people take into account. Finding physically challenging fitness routines that build mind and muscle, fun and/​or productive social interactions in which all parties involved benefit in one way or another is usually very hard for us to find as people are uneducated in how to deal with us who deal with or suffer from severe Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and Social Anxiety to name two of my worst illnesses.
At UfC Gym Fidi however, from April/​Vinny that greet you at the door, to the music playing on the loud speaker, the groans and grunts of fellow members beating up a bag or rolling in jiu jitsu, I was comfortable instantaneously. The coaches from head coach Abe Sanabria all the way down the list Jayson «JayMark» Markland, Xavier Pagan, Brandon Parris, Shay Alexander, Noël Aviles Jr., Hansel Urena, Jonathan Cepeda and Daniel Paulino give a dedicated intense workout that will take to the next level and three or four more tiers above that easily! In a warm and welcoming environment that encourages positive and healthy competition in a respectful and friendly environment.
Your membership is well worth it here. You’ll feel a difference after one class and see results in little over week depending on your own consistency and dedication. I try to be there at least 5 or 6 days a week depending on my schedule, I hope to see you and anyone who took time to read this review breaking bags next to me soon. Bless.

I’m very surprised by the bad reviews this place gets. I’ve been a member for a few months and am really enjoying it. In fact I gave up ClassPass to join here full time.
All of the coaches and staff are friendly, the classes provide an effective and fun workout, the facilities are clean, and it’s not too crowded. What’s not to love?

From my personal experience with boxing/​UFC/​gyms, the reviews can be all over the place, some thinks the trainer is mean by pushing them to hard, some treat this like a gym to chit chat.
If you want to chat during your session, Planet Fitness or 24 hour fitness is great for you.
If you want to be pushed to the next level, this is the place for you. I love the bag punching, kicking, and circuit.
I loved Noël, his class is challenging, his energy is positive and he is a great personal coach.
Here are my tips to enjoy this gym:
1) Not all classes are created equal, some of the class is more cardio and some are more for strength training, and some are mixed. So depends on what you are looking for and your schedule, I would suggest try all of them and see what tickles you
2) Don’t pay attention to the person next to you, do it in your own pace and your ability. But don’t forget to push yourself. Trust me, you can do that extra rep. Stay consistent.
3) Although you get tons of cardio exercise, but it shouldn’t replace running or hiking. IMO, I think it replaces weight training because you use your own body weight with pushing up and punching
4) Take the group class seriously, no whining, complaining or chatting, please be focused. We are here to work hard, enjoy the chat after the work out
5) This is mainly for the guys. If this is your first class, don’t go all in on the first 5 mins, yeah, I know you can punch the bag hard, but can you do it for 55 mins? I see guys come in on first day and just start swing, but after 5 mins, they ran out of breath. Remember, consistency is the key.
6) Get your own glove, the common gloves smells, really really bad. Trust me, you will thank me.

The horrible experience get worse with UFC! UFC is your worst nightmare. They respond to my horrible review with an explanation that makes no sense. They can not even understand their own error. Easy to see the mistake by simply reading the review.
Shows their lack of attention to detail and how these nightmares easily happen with these people.
NOW, I have collection agencies calling me looking for $ 900…

SCAM SCAM SCAM. UFC gets paid once they pass the account to a collection agency so they have not incentive to correct mistakes. It pays for them to screw you over. You have been warned!

For the record… the only reason I discontinued using this facility was because my office relocated. That’s it. All-​in-​all training there was great. Best work out you can get.

This gym is more of a cardio bag class. If you’re looking to learn proper techniques in boxing, Muay Thai etc this just isn’t the place. I signed up for a month to month membership and when I was relocated for work I asked to temporarily stop my membership but I wasn’t able to come in at the beginning of the month due to work. The manager at the time Jamie said I can just sign to end my contract when I come in for my next class since my schedule wasn’t allowing me to come in right away. When I came in to end my contract I asked her if I would be charged for the following month she said «no you’re fine». I still end up getting charged $ 150. Had I known I was going to pay the following month I would’ve at least tried to use the month I’m paying for. The general manager was unwilling to help at all. The response was they didn’t understand why she told me that but I should’ve came in right away to sign at the beginning of the month, although his manager told me otherwise. He came off very rude and made sure I was aware of this strict «no refund policy». Bottom line don’t waste your time on this gym. It’s a rip off. Want to learn proper techniques go to Renzo Gracie, 5 points, marcelos etc

I joined this gym after taking a trial kickboxing class. It’s convenient, clean, and the staff is wonderful. I signed up with Vinny, who is one of the assistant managers of the gym and I take 3 – 4 classes a week. The classes include MMA, Matrx, Kickboxing, and Boxing. You’ll get a full body workout with cardio and strength incorporated into the class and abs at the end. Its far from boring. You are constantly in motion kicking, jumping, squatting, punching and the trainers that run the classes are very knowledgeable and can help you reach your «fit» goals if you confide in them. Since I’ve joined (Oct) I am 7 Ibs down.

I train with Abe at UFC fidi twice a week. I have put my mind to getting in shape and losing weight and Abe is very supportive. He is knowledgeable, patient, and can suggest many alternatives to modify any exercise. I have been training with him for 5 months. I feel stronger and more motivated to lose more weight and have lost over 20 pounds so far. The workouts with Abe are varied; he has lots of alternatives for abs as well as weights, strength, and flexibility. His workouts are fun and beneficial. Abe has a sense of humor too. He makes the workouts fun but doesn’t let you slide. He knows, better than me, what I am capable of and holds me to that standards. Abe can also give good advice about nutrition, When I couldn’t seem to get that 20^th pound off he asked me to detail my diet. He noted that I was light on protein and too heavy on carbs and made realistic suggestions, which I followed, so I could lose more weight.
Overall, the gym is a great place to be. The staff is friendly, the classes are varied and can accommodate any level. Andrew’s boxing class is favorite. He trains professional fighters and does a nice job varying the workout and correcting errors we make during the workout. I really enjoy it even though I can’t do the burpees so I do modified stuff. Andrew is great at modifying the in-​between rounds exercises for me. He is demanding but not intimidating.
April, the receptionist, is friendly and efficient and makes you feel at home. I am probably the oldest person at the gym but I feel at home and accepted there. It’s really a great place. I am happy to be there. Vinnie, the assistant manager, is always friendly, and so are the other coaches whose classes I have not even taken yet. I haven’t had any problems with billing; it’s an automatic charge on my credit card every month. This gym is worth every penny. There are classes 7 days a week. There is also a weight area and treadmills as well as locker rooms with showers.

My home away from home… I love this gym! Offering everything from entry level fitness to advanced mma training. All levels, shapes, and sizes welcome!

I discovered UFC Fidi through Classpass and have taken a bunch of their group classes — boxing, kickboxing, MMA, MATRX. When I don’t want to just sit on a bike for an hour, I prefer boxing since it’s a really solid hourlong workout where you’re constantly moving, you can modulate intensity yourself (either if you want a more intense or a lighter workout), and it’s super satisfying to punch and kick things hahaha.
Most classes keep you moving for a full hour straight, a combo of cardio and strength conditioning sets and it typically never gets boring. I’ve found the instructors to be somewhat uneven — some guys are more present, some guys less. My favorite instructor has been Evaristo — he teaches MATRX (a blend of MMA with TRX training mixed in) and some other classes — he’s engaged and has great energy, he’s the only instructor I’ve had who’s been vigilant about correcting my form, when he does give corrections it’s always specific and constructive, he’s super helpful (he re-​did my wraps when he learned I had a wrist injury to maximize protection), and he always varies his array of exercises even though I’ve taken his same class multiple times so I don’t get bored.
There’s a relatively clean locker room, showers and towels. You’ll have to bring your own lock. There’s a «sauna» but it’s never worked since I’ve been there. Overall though, solid gym to get a solid workout.

If you have any actual boxing experience, you should be ashamed to be seen in this gym. After years of training with a coach, I thought it would be fun to try a class … NOT
This is a generous round up to one star…
1– class is entire rounds of one combination at a time. Huh? It’s a class so I guess I don’t know how else they’re supposed to do it… Except the round starts with the instructor shouting out the combo and spending the rest of it staring at himself in the mirror. Maybe it’s just me, but the combinations made no sense at all in the context of actually boxing.
2– the crowd is overweight leering guys and flimsy blond girls. No offense to big guys. I’ve seen some lighter on their feet than ballerinas. No offense to blond girls. I know some that can throw a serious beat down… this was not that crowd. Ladies. Please. Take it from a properly trained female boxer… You look like idiots in this class. It’s not your fault. You came to learn… but they aren’t teaching you. If you stay you’re doing yourself dirty.
3– the amount of bad form with zero correction or instruction was BEYOND ridiculous. Generally rude to the people that paid for a class, but more importantly dangerous. If there’s a sudden outbreak of rotator cuff injuries, you know where they came from.
4– the heavy bags are long and heavy so they don’t move. Impossible to practice any slips or footwork.
5– bags are hung really close together. Not the end of the world if the people working them know what they’re doing… But they don’t.
6– if you have tie up gloves, no one can help you. This is velcro land.
7– jump ropes are «imaginary». I’m serious.
It’s pretty rare that I leave a class even if I hate it. Different strokes for different folks and I think it’s kinda rude. But not only did I leave this one, but Im pretty sure I said «f*@k this» out loud when I walked out.
If you want to learn to box go to gleasons. If you don’t care about ever sparring and just want a good work out with proper form and an engaged instructor go to Mendez. If you want to pay a million dollars for a fake boxing class in a pretty studio, go somewhere else. There are no products in the locker room, lockers aren’t digital, and they charge for wraps.
Ladies. Do not go here.

I discovered the FiDi UFC Gym through Classpass with a kickboxing workout with Abe. I may be biased since the gym is right across the street from me, but the workout was so great and the trainers were so friendly and accommodating that I decided to not renew my Classpass membership but to sign with UFC instead. I’m four classes in, and I am very pleased with my choice thus far. The trainers help you with your form in the group classes even when they are at a high capacity. I’m new to kickboxing, boxing, mma, etc. and each trainer has been very patient and helpful whenever I ask about form or to have them demonstrate the combo being taught for me. I look forward to my future experiences with this gym and I’ll follow this review with a check-​in a month in to see if the positive impression sticks.

I feel like I’m lying to everyone by giving 1 star, because my experience has warranted a 0.
I moved out of the area soon after I joined, and had surgery right after. Unfortunately my membership which I paid upfront for was not refundable. I bit my tongue, took care of more important things (family got sick, etc.) and then put it on my calendar to cancel at the end of the 1 year.
When I tried doing it, they told me I needed to come in and fill out a paper cancellation form. They don’t care if you’re in Idaho or anything, their cancellation policy is only available in person… When I finally convinced the condescending manager at the store to e-​mail me the form, he never did. And I have been getting unpaid notices for three months at this point. They won’t help me out, I can’t go to the store, and even though the gym emails me about my balance due, they won’t respond to the e-​mail I wrote to the manager thanking him for making an exception to canceling and sending via e-​mail.
I STILL don’t have an e-​mail from the manager with the cancellation form. I have e-​mailed multiple times at this point. I don’t know what to do, and they keep charging me every month. Their call center that handles their payments in Florida is of no help either.
Let me tell you about the manager. He picks up the phone and as soon as I bring up cancellation and ask him if he can email it, tell me no, and says every gym in the world does this, don’t you get it? Have you never been to a gym before? Everyone knows that. I reminded him that the same way that I wouldn’t expect him to be an expert in my domain, he should remember that others aren’t experts in his.
Not only was the onboard process a pushy pushy salesy pushy (I was even approached in the street because the guy recognized me), but the sales guy kept pushing me towards yearly membership versus monthly. What a crappy experience. From start to finish. He even told me it was a good idea to join the gym with a pending surgery. Horrendous customer service.
If you still sign up for this place after reading this, shame on you.

Kick ass place! I go there to work out. Not socialize, comment on the steam room, people or complain about injuries (it’s a fighting gym, not club Med). As long as I get my sweat on, I’m a happy camper. And that’s EXACTLY what I get!

The customer service is exceptionally bad for a gym. They’re pushy about getting people to join. Any changes to your membership (upgrading or cancelling) falls on deaf ears.
Do keep in mind: if you actually want to learn how to fight, you need an advanced membership that costs about $ 250/​month. Otherwise it’s $ 150/​month for a class that’s practically conditioning only. And they’ll probably try to suck you into a year-​long membership too.

So far so good! It’s been almost 3 weeks since I joined and I hope I don’t have to find out about the cancellation policy.
It’s my first «exuberantly expensive» gym, but I needed some extra motivation as the cheaper options close to work and home were not doing it for me. I’m a big fan of group classes and martial arts so this was the perfect alternative. I love the convenience of going to other locations when need be. Between work and home, I have 4 different options!
This location is probably the most updated. It has a separate women’s locker room with bathroom and shower stalls. I haven’t tried the shower stalls, but I saw towels! So I was very excited just about that.
Now to the most useful. The variety of different classes is great. I have yet to choose my favorite, as all the options from Kickboxing, Boxing, MMA, MATRX, etc. give you a great work out and make you seem taller as you exit the gym red-​faced. The schedule is pretty flexible too with morning, lunch time and evening options and a plethora of instructors.
I also appreciate that the front desk staff at all the locations that I’ve managed to visit in my short time span have been extremely friendly and helpful, and each keep showing me the good way to wrap my hands (they all do it differently!). And you can also borrow gloves if you need to (just beware of stink from others sweat).
