Wow, they closed? Crepes were ok, the seating was nice and staff was nice too. Ordered the crêpe with strawberry Nutella and it was kind of tasteless. The Nutella has something mixed with it, some liquid maybe half and half. It was ok but nothing special.

PayPal renewed their $ 5 offer here, so I came back for a second go-around. I stumbled upon their«Spring Nutella Tuesday» promo, when VLC loyalty app members can get a Nutella Crêpe for $ 5 + tax on Tuesdays: Download VLC’s mobile app, enter the promo code(the cashier said it was«nutella412»), redeem the reward, et voila. Although I like that their crepes are thick like pancakes, VLC still truly pales in comparison to Eight Turn Crêpe. You’re doing yourself a real disservice if you return here before checking out 8TC! The only advantage VLC has is ample seating. I’d also say Nutella, but that’s played out and VLC was stingy with it this time anyway.

Had a dulce de leche crêpe with coconut. good filling mostly, bad texture. The crêpe itself is more like a pancake, too thick. Dulce needed more texture, coconut was fine. Solid filling though. 2.2

They load up their crepes with plenty of filling! I remember biting in and the Nutella and fruits were flowing out. Although it is a good value(with the amount of ingredients they put in), the crêpe itself is not the best. It’s a little chewy and thick. I prefer the thin and crispier type — ones which I had tried plenty in Paris. They often sell voucher deals and have discounts like 2 for 1 or crepes and drinks. Definitely try to search for one before you go! Service was great, even the crêpe makers break a smile. I only come by when I am around the neighborhood, but will not travel all the way here to get mediocre crepes.

I got the spinach, mushroom, basil and gruyère(I got that instead of goat cheese) crêpe for $ 4(since I got $ 5 off by using Paypal). It seems like people only come here with a Scoutmob, Groupon, etc deal(price discrimination)! Without it, it would not be worth the full $ 9. Yup, they don’t serve it on a plate, so it’s a bit trickier to eat, fyi.

Pretty good, would just not recommend the salmon and cream cheese, I will recommend something sweater for desert or something. A little pricey for what you get, but location is convenient. Service is not great, cashier gentlemen is not the friendliest but other than that an overall ok experience.

Been here a few times(twice with a Groupon). So far, I do like it here. While I agree that the wait time can be long, it also depends on who’s working the griddles that day and when you go. Each time I went was on a Saturday around lunch time. The longest I waited was about 20 – 25 minutes, but there was only like 1 guy making all the crepes and he was very much overwhelmed. I was about to eat my receipt(that is, after snapping a pic of it to get points for it via their app!) by the time my 2 crepes were ready. That was months ago. I decided to stop by again because I really do like their crepes and this time I didn’t wait long at all, I was told 5 minutes and I got both my crepes in the estimated amount of time. I also tried their espresso this time and it was pretty good! The place was pretty crowded, but there were a few tables that popped up by the time I was ready to sit & eat. The service I got the 1st time I went wasn’t that great(this was probably about 1 – 2 years ago). There was a girl working the counter then, a short brunette girl with glasses. She wasn’t mean but not that nice, either. A little more on the snooty side when I presented a Groupon — I didn’t like that. The service I got the 2nd time was okay, better than the above mentioned girl, but only slightly nicer. This visit was where I had to wait the longest. The last time I went: Awesome! The guy who rang me up was really friendly and nice, didn’t even flinch when I presented another Groupon(side note: I’m not a cheapskate — I just love to save money where I can!). There were 3 guys who helped me(the 1 who rang me up, 1 who made my espresso, 1 who made my crepes) — all 3 were super nice and I was happy that finally, Vive le Crêpe got it right by hiring the right people! Please keep these guys on your staff! Quality of the crepes were pretty good to me. They are a little thicker than they should be vs a true French crêpe, but I still like them. I’ve only tried the Ham & Gruyère for the savory and the Noir(dark chocolate) with strawberries for the sweet. Yum! Prices are definitely not cheap — but I was ok with that since I’m usually pretty careful with where I choose to splurge, so the occasional splurge on good food is ok with me as long as it’s worth it. It can get crowded, but each time I went, at least 1 – 2 tables became available because most of the people were like me and just stopped to take a quick break to eat.

RELOCATEDTO ASOFJULY2014 Having visited twice so far for the same item with the same PayPal $ 5 deal on Nutella Tuesday, I’ve forked over $ 0.88 for 2 crepes and am still skeptical I’d return if the opportunity presented itself again. The first time, the charming ladies working there forced a comment card on me which is odd since I hadn’t eaten yet(and it took a bit longer than most creperies to get my food even with no line, just some folks squatting at tables within the cool space like it was a café). Second time, they basically told everyone walking in to download the app and redeem it for the Nutella Tuesday deal — indicating the massive markup.(Not to blow up the spot of the friendly women working here, but this place is so overstaffed. There are only so many things people can do given the facility.) Decent guilty pleasure but not worth the $ 5, let alone the normal price with no PayPal incentive. Really, they crepes are lovely. Had the strawberry and peanut butter, delish. It’s Union Square, so it has that rather impersonal non-local vibe going on, and everything costs $ 2 more, but when you are in the mood for a quick, naughty, sweet treat, this is a great place to stop in.

So Groupon had a fun deal for $ 13 you’d get one savory and one sweet crêpe with up to 4 toppings. I bought two groupons and my hubby and I went to gorge ourselves on crepes. I got the chicken, tomato, mozzerella, spinach pesto savory crêpe… which, while yummy, was hard to eat because it was too big. I have to try their smoked salmon one(note to self: always trust your gut! The smoked salmon was calling my name!). My husband got the gruyère and ham one with pesto and tomato, and it was tasty. I much preferred his over mine. For the sweet crêpe(this is why I will come back) I got the Noir(dark chocolate) with bananas, coconut, and mixed berries. I was very disappointed that ice cream(while on their menu board) was«not available at this location.» Then why post it on your menu board? Oh well, it was tasty. The seating isn’t all that great, there were fruit flies all over the place driving me crazy. The servings sizes are good. I was a bit disappointed because while the woman said our crepes would be made timed apart so we could have both while sitting together, the chef(is that what you call a crêpe maker?) made my husband’s together and mine very spaced apart. That was unfortunate, but whatever. Lastly, the manager hogged up a nice seating area while on his mac the whole time, I don’t know if he was on break, but if I were the manager, I am not sure I’d take up valuable seating in a smaller establishment such as theirs. Also, maybe interact with customers? I don’t know… something didn’t sit right with me. I would come back for a sweet crêpe, but take it to go. or go to another location that actually has all of their ingredients.

THISPLACEWASAWESOME. I ordered the turkey with gruyère etc + pesto and it was so huge and filling and delicious! The portions are huge and the place is definitely worth a visit! They were polite and speedy and did I mention DELICIOUS. Do yourself a favor and come here and try some of their savory crepes!

Friendly service. Had the gruyère, chicken, spinach crêpe. It takes a long time for them to make the crepes, but once you’ve got it in hand, it’s tasty. I feel like they should offer plates, very messy!

Deliciously fun to order this sweet dessert however your heart/tummy desires :) While they mix the ingredients you watch and salivate. I was wondering if they have mini versions… but let’s be honest I would probably go back and ask for a second serving. So although the size of the crêpe is HUGE, I loved every bite!

This place looks chic but it’s tiny. There’s always a lot of people. I always have to wait to be seated but the since, of course, the counter would take time to make my order, I can manage to get a seat before I can finally munch my treat. The first time I went here… then again, there were so many people that the guy on the counter might have gotten confused with people’s orders. I mean, I’m not even sure if he really paid attention to while taking customers’ orders because he didn’t seem to enjoy his shift. He repeated my order indifferently but correctly… although when I got my crêpe, It was the wrong one and I just knew when I already took a bite. Sure, I could complain… just like what the others did that time… but I was just being nice to not have them make a new one again and get confused again and waste away my food and wait for another couple of minutes… so I just continued to chow it down thinking that my palate would be able to like it… Unfortunately, I ended up throwing it away… cause i really didnt like the dark chocolate… besides it’s so messy to eat… especially with the way they present the crêpe. even with my favorite white chocolate, the to-go package for their crepes makes the food eaten so messily… I almost chewed the triangular cardboard so I had to peel it like a banana to eat it. Also, a whole peice of banana is easier to eat because no chunks are falling off everytime you bite and no filling will be dripping(especially the nuttella and dark chocolate ones which can really be a mess). I was like eating rolled pancakes drenched in syrup and all the fruits in between. so no, not a place to go for yummy to goodness crepes.

These crepes are almost like Chinese ones because of the way they fold and pack them into a paper cone. I wasn’t expecting to be blown away but I find myself craving the weird combo of proscuitto, cheese, and potatoes. Also try the nutella hot chocolate, yeah! If you love hot chocolate and nutella, you gotta try it! Pricey for crepes but they do use quality ingredients and take the time to make them right! They’re actually pretty big and filing. I like that they’re crispy so they can hold up to the moisture of the fillings inside.

Yes, the crepes are delicious and yes they are expensive. Worth it? Not really. You can’t deny it, the crepes are good but for $ 8 for a basic crêpe, it isn’t worth it. There are so many other places that are not only cheaper, but they are either comparable or even better. Creperie and The Crooked Tree Creperie are both viable alternatives. They are friendly, a little slow with the register and with making the crepes. Good if you’re in the area, but that’s about it. Save your money, go for a nice walk and head somewhere a little better.

I would be pretty pissed if I paid full price for these«crepes». Luckily, I came here because I had a Scoutmob offer for 50% off, so I decided to get one savory and one sweet for cheap. For the savory, I got the #6: turkey, gruyère, tomato sauce, mushrooms($ 9). I guess it tasted OK, but these things are a mess. They serve it wrapped up kind of in a cone shape, in a paper holder, as opposed to on a plate. The first probably 5 – 6 bites, all you are eating is pure, pretty flavorless crêpe batter. I got sick of this really fast, so I ended up having to rip these pieces away to get to anything of substance. Once I started doing this, it already started to get messy. I finally was able to taste some of the ingredients in the crêpe, which were OK. After taking a few more bites, the whole thing just turned into real soggy mess, and just completely started to fall apart. Sick of it, and not really caring since I paid half price and it didn’t really taste particularly good, I just tossed the whole thing in the trash to be done with it. For the sweet, I got a Peanut Butter Crêpe with walnuts and bananas. Again, I ripped away the top third of the whole thing since it was flavorless and had no peanut butter, walnuts, or bananas anywhere near it. This one obviously tasted better since peanut butter is the greatest food ever, but still, not really worth it. I threw away the bottom third of this mess too once I got tired of trying to hold it and not make myself look like a complete slob and animal trying to eat it. This depressed me and made me wish I could go back to Paris for some crepes.

I’m absolutely in love. This was my first time having an orgasm… I mean crêpe. It was so amazing I had two! The first was white chocolate with strawberries, coconut and almonds. The second was cinnamon apples, cream cheese, honey and walnuts. The two were about $ 10 each and although I would have liked them to be a bit cheaper, I was happy with them. I’m not sure who was making them that night but he was fun and personable and even brought my second to me(not that it’s far, but still). Warm, filling and delicious. I’m going to be on a crêpe mission for weeks.
