The service at this location has been going down hill for years. They always seem to have a problem with the photo processing. I ordered pictures using their mobile site. It said that they would be ready in an hour. When I went in the next day to get my pictures, they told me that the machine has been broken for a week and would not be fixed for at least two more days. Why not alert your site and customers with orders pending? Just all around poor service.

I have to say that the assistant manager — «Ms Jay» has to be the rudest person I have ever met at this location. She is militant and angry-and it shows. Her people skills are ZERO. I cannot for the life of me understand why she is in a service industry.

I think this is the best Walgreens around here so far. They are never crowded and the store always stocked up and clean. I’ve been to many other Walgreens and this one is my favorite one. Staff is friendly and quick at the register. Good deals too on a lot of things from shampoo to doggie treats.

def a good stop for things u need. the two cvs that surround it are horrible so this is a great alternative. they even sell salad and sushi there now! the salads are actually really good! the line is usually long but thats the only bad thing about this place. they also have a red box to rent movies and the staff is friendly. they also have a very nice and polite manager. decent prices. i go here all the time.

I work for a major hospital close by and had to get photo prints done on a Sunday morning. Uploaded pics online and it estimated pickup time in 1 hour. 1 hour goes by then 2 then 10 and still not ready. Get an email 27 hours later that my pics are finally ready. Never again, my fellow hospital employees and myself will gomto CVS a block away.

This Walgreen’s is not soooo shabby. I prefer this drugs/convenience store more than the CVS a block away. I especially like the lighting and organization of the store… But don’t expect too much from this convenience store. It’s kinda small and doesn’t have nearly the selection of products as some of its other counterparts. It’s in a super convenient location right off the corner of 57th and 9th.
Too bad its not 24⁄7. It kinda closes early-ish. 10pm… The beer selection is halfway decent and find that beer here is cheaper than Duane Reed and other conveniences stores…(Oh yes! the have weekly sales on beer(whoohoo!)). For the most part the lines don’t get too crowded here… unless your stuck behind person clipping coupons at the register… We all been experienced that. before. LOL! This CVS has everything that you really need.

This is a spacious walgreens, they seem to have everything one could want in a big box pharmacy. The service around lunch time is a bit slow.

This review is for the pharmacy only. I love this place. They are always fast friendly and professional to me anyway. I never wait either! Great staff.

Once a dagostinos, this site remained empty for about 7 years. I was missing out on the good Walgreens deals so I contacted their corp offices and told them about the location. half a year later there was a walgreens sign in the window! For a year or so I enjoyed walgreens! Good pricing. Then they bought Duane Reade. Forget it. Good pricing is gone and they have all these crummy Duane Reade products and Duane Reade prices. Retail plus. The only thing good about Walgreens is that people who live nearby do not have to travel further to get ripped off. BTW Went in yesterday with a CocaCola coupon for a free 20 ounce product. The walgreens price exceeded the manufacturers retail price. Was not that way before swallowing the poison Duane Reade pill. CVS Remains as the only reasonably priced local pharmacy/food/household type store in the neighborhood. June 2014 Update: Prices now 30% higher than walgreens in brooklyn. Nearly a complete Duane Reade Clone. CVS gets my traffic

Maybe I expect too much from my local chemist(the Brit in me wants to keep calling them chemist), but I have a habit of choosing apartments near silly American drug stores/pharmacies and I was psyched to see the overhaul of this Walgreens with the small grocery department in the front. Other than the fancier updated Duane Reade, this is actually better than the CVS on my block around the corner. Having said that, the people who work here cannot be less friendly and helpful to customers. I am a bit impatient, but the lines just move at a snail’s pace. When I ask for help, they tell me that the item is in a specific aisle(if I can get a hold of someone who works here) and when I tell them that it’s not there, they ask if I really looked through the whole aisle. Perhaps you can actually look with me and help me find the item, so that I can buy it and help your store earn revenue. I think I may just go to the not-so-nice-looking CVS around the corner where I can actually find what I need and get help when I can’t find the pharmacuetical items that I need, because frustration from not finding the medicine I want when I am sick really is not a pleasant experience.

Maybe it’s embarrassing for some to frequent pharmacies for the occasional canned food deal. But I am filthy poor. No pain, no gain. Or dinner. Some of my conquests have included 99c Progresso, 69c Campbell’s, 4 cans of tuna for $ 3… I also come here more often than not to buy their 79c 20-oz soda bottles(still haven’t kicked the Diet Coke… I mean, Diet Walgreen’s Cola addiction). One doesn’t have to cut deep to find the best values here: they are right by the door, to the left. For serious… check it out.

This place has just opened and is in a great location on 9th Avenue and 57th Street. They have a decent selection of items and have some of the best prices I have seen in town. My local Duane Reade up on 10th Avenue may have a run for its money. NOTE: They have Flav-O-Ice for $ 2 a box. HAHAHAHAHAHAHA! AWESOME!
